  After using this product, my skin feels more supple. I really like it!

  While it provides hydration, it seems to lack richness. That's a bit disappointing.

  Tip

  Using the entire Laneige Water Bank line, I can see my skin improving significantly. However, for those with dry skin, I'd recommend using a cream specifically for dry skin rather than the Water Bank Cream designed for combination to oily skin types. As for the toner, I used the cream skin version.

  Compared to other essences, this one offers a generous amount and isn't overly rich, making it perfect for lightweight application. What's more, there's absolutely no pilling when I layer cream on top, which is why I'm already on my third bottle!

  Cons

  Since it's completely oil-free, those with dry skin or facing dry seasons must definitely layer it with other products or use additional moisturizing items that contain oils.

  Pros

  - If I could give decimal points, this would be a 4.5-star rating! I used this product through a Hwahae event, and I think I'll use it until the very end. It's a truly simple essence, yet its effects weren't overwhelming. To sum up the advantages, there are about five main points: 1. A light feel that seems to be instantly absorbed by the skin 2. Excellent absorption (I really love it!!) 3. Long-lasting hydration despite the lightweight formula 4. Skin soothing 5. Improved skin texture To elaborate, I found the texture perfect for summer use. Even when it's hot and sticky, this applies lightly and absorbs well, so you'll naturally reach for it. After absorption, it doesn't leave a sticky finish, but rather a soft feeling - like cornstarch sprinkled on mochi. (I don't mean it's too powdery!) However, the moisturizing effect is just right - you wake up without feeling dry, and your skin feels comfortably hydrated. I think it would be especially great for oily skin rather than extremely dry skin. Sometimes, when oily skin gets too much moisture, it can lead to clogged pores, sebum overproduction, or small bumps. With this product, I never experienced any bumps, and it even seemed to help control sebum. That's why I felt it had a soothing effect.

  Cons

  1. Like all hydrating essences, this product does leave a slight oily residue after absorption. I think that's probably why the moisture is retained longer. However, the formula feels much more hydrating than oily. Those who are sensitive to any oiliness might find this slightly disappointing. 2. The packaging is pretty and nice, but the pump spring might be too strong - the first pump always sprays everywhere. Other than that, I don't think there are any inconveniences.

  Tip

  Because the formula is light, rather than applying a lot at once for more hydration, it's much more effective to apply thin layers and let each one absorb. It's even better when stored in the refrigerator. Oh, and if you buy it at the lowest price on Naver, it's much cheaper than the regular price!

  Pros

  It's not too heavy and provides instant hydration, which is comfortable and nice. It's great for layering - applying it several times makes my skin feel wonderfully moisturized.

  Cons

  There's a sunscreen from Make:prem that smells exactly the same, which once confused me and caused a mini-meltdown. I prefer skincare products without fragrance, so the scent was disappointing. Instead of a moisturizing feel, it has a somewhat rich texture, which isn't ideal for my oily skin.

  Tip

  It's excellent for layering when your skin feels dry.

There's also a version specifically for dry skin called the Water Bank Moisture Essence. Unlike the Hydro's fresh feel, the Moisture version has a more hydrating texture that's perfect for dry skin. I should try that one too! I used the 30ml size, but maybe because I have a large face, it's already one-third gone after just over a week... Who's been sneaking some? Haha! Highly recommended for combination/oily skin types!

  The price is a bit high for the amount you get, and it runs out quickly, which is disappointing. While it's hydrating for dry skin, the lack of oil content might lead to deep dryness. Those with dehydrated or dry skin might want to opt for the Moisture Essence instead.

  I love that in the morning, I can just rinse my face with water, apply this essence, and head out without my face getting oily.

  While the hydration is mild, layering it twice works wonders. There are no issues like pilling even when layered. This is the first product I've completely used up. It absorbs well and provides sufficient moisture, though it might not be enough for very dry skin.

  Cons

  There's hardly any rich feeling to it. I wouldn't recommend it for extremely dry skin, but it should be great for oily or combination skin types.

  This product really didn't work for me. The texture is quite thin, but when applied, it feels like it's not absorbing into my skin. While the product itself is moisturizing, it's as if my skin can't drink it in. It's strange - it's clearly hydrating, but when I put it on my face, it feels more like oil than water. I tried using it morning and night for three days, but I just couldn't continue. I ended up giving it to a friend.

  Here's my review after trying it as part of The Hwahae Testers! (The photos show before and after use!) At first, I didn't notice, but it definitely reduced redness and improved my overall complexion. When I received the product, the seasons were changing, and my heat-sensitive face was experiencing increased redness. For no apparent reason, the skin around my nose was peeling with dead skin cells, while my skin tone was uneven - it was a total mess. Luckily, I won the Hwahae Testers draw and received the famous Laneige Water Bank Essence. I was skeptical at first due to a past disappointment with their cream, but I thought, 'It's a hydrating essence, so it shouldn't cause blemishes,' and gave it a try. As you can see in the photos, it's effectively addressing my uneven skin tone, redness, and dryness! I initially planned to give it to my mom if it didn't suit me, but now I think I'll use it all myself!

  Cons

  It felt more like an emulsion than an essence. In my opinion, it's closer to an emulsion? There's a slight richness to it. I doubt anyone uses this alone, but if you did, it might feel a bit lacking in hydration and slightly rich. Because of this, I found it a bit heavy to use before makeup, so I ended up applying it generously only in the evening.

  Tip

  As mentioned in the cons, the texture feels slightly rich at the finish, so I used it after applying a soothing gel-type moisturizer that absorbs completely. Using it this way provided extra hydration with a slight coating feel. I was also using essences and creams with vitamin C (like Goodal Tangerine Vita C Serum and BRTC Sleeping Pack), which can sometimes lack hydration - and that was exactly my case. When I used the Water Bank Essence together with these products, they seemed to work well together, creating a great synergy! Just two weeks ago, I was incredibly stressed about my skin, but now I'm considering going out bare-faced - that's how much it's improved! And of course, my makeup applies beautifully too!

  ✔️Absorbs well It has a runny texture but doesn't feel sticky, applying smoothly and moisturizing the skin! You can think of it as having a texture similar to an emulsion. ✔️Absorbs quickly It absorbs almost immediately after application, leaving no stickiness at all. Even though it absorbs quickly, it leaves a lasting moisturized feeling! ✔️Hydration I have severe deep dryness, especially on my cheeks. But in this weather, it seems fine to just apply this product after toner! For dry areas, I applied it twice. After using this product, the feeling of my cheeks cracking in the evening has significantly reduced, which I love. Especially as the weather gets warmer, I dislike sticky feelings, so I used to just apply an emulsion or essence before bed. But this product really helps with dryness, making it perfect for lazy me! This is why I decided to repurchase it. ✔️What I liked I have super sensitive skin that tends to get red and develop blemishes if I use the wrong product, but this worked well for me over two weeks of use. I think it should suit most people with sensitive skin. My T-zone is oily, but after applying this, it felt moisturized and fresh without causing any blemishes. It's a hydrating type that feels like it's really filling the skin with moisture, so except for winter, this product alone might be enough.

  Cons

  There wasn't anything particularly disappointing while using it, but if I had to pick one thing, it would be the price. It's not extremely expensive for an essence, but since it's a product with only hydration and no oiliness, you tend to use quite a bit of it. I recommended it to a friend, and they said at this price, wouldn't it be better to just buy a moisturizing cream? I intend to repurchase, but I think I'll have to wait for a sale period.
