When applying, you can feel a rich, elastic texture that absorbs instantly. Even after sleeping, you still feel the hydration and a tightening effect on your skin. When I first opened the lid, the scent had a slightly old-fashioned feel which gave me pause. However, after applying it, I found it quite pleasant without any discomfort. Before opening the lid, make sure to shake the bottle well to mix the two layers thoroughly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 20, 2020
It's a product you need to shake before use, and when you do, it feels a bit like jelly! But the moment you pump it out, it's just pure moisture. Being an oil serum, I was worried it might be too greasy for my combination dehydrated skin, but the more I patted it in, the more perfectly it absorbed. Above all, you can see how it gives my skin elasticity and that Inner Glow... Honestly, there are no real drawbacks. I thought an oil serum would be heavy and leave a greasy residue, but it's not like that at all! In fact, I've been using it really well lately. I tend to apply it generously when my skin feels dry. Before makeup, I squeeze out a small amount and pat it in until it's fully absorbed. When I do my base makeup after that, my foundation goes on so much better! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 1, 2020
The photos show the front, back, and appearance after shaking just before use, in that order! This is a review from The Hwahae Testers! It's my second time being selected, but I've been too busy to write a review until now... This review is from a man in his 20s with oily skin. Let me start with the advantages: 1. It absorbs well! Due to its thin consistency, it's easy to apply and makes a great base. It also absorbs quickly - just pat it in and it sinks right into the skin! 2. It has a pump dispenser This is what I really loved about it. Unlike products that you have to scoop out with your hands or use a dropper, this pump format is convenient for everyone, whether you're used to applying with your hands or a dropper. The hygienic aspect is a bonus! 3. It mixes fairly easily When you look at the product, you'll see it's separated into oil and something else at the bottom. At first, I was worried I'd have to shake it vigorously before each use. But it actually mixes well with just a bit of shaking! It's not really inconvenient at all. I'll update my review with more usage feedback after I've used it for a longer period. 1. The smell is just too... It's overwhelming. Honestly, I'm not usually sensitive to cosmetic scents, but this one is really intense. Despite any other drawbacks, I don't think I can continue using it because of the smell... It's like a cosmetic scent mixed with something else. It's hard to describe, but I found it quite unpleasant. 2. Ingredients It seems to contain some potentially allergenic ingredients. My skin isn't particularly sensitive, so I was fine, but if you're considering buying this, please check the ingredient list carefully. 3. Price I think it's a bit expensive for the amount you get. Students might find it a bit pricey... 4. Consistency It's too thin. I think it's the thinnest serum I've ever used. It seems even thinner than the toner I'm currently using, which makes it difficult to apply. Of course, this might vary from person to person, so it's best to judge for yourself... but I found it too watery. 5. Eye irritation Even when I try to be careful applying it around my eyes, some kind of vapor seems to rise up and makes my eyes sting. People with sensitive eyes should be cautious when using this. + I'm not sure if it's just me, but... my makeup that used to apply well doesn't seem to go on as smoothly since I started using this serum. No matter how much I pat it in, it doesn't seem to absorb well. It feels like it's creating a barrier. I'm not sure if it's because it doesn't match with some of my other cosmetics, but keep this in mind. While it might work well for some people, it really didn't suit me, so I can't give it a good rating. Hmm... Since the product is very thin and easy to apply, it might work well layered over a sheet mask! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2020
Absorbs well: When applied to the back of my hand, it felt moisturizing with less stickiness. It's not completely non-sticky, but has a pleasant level of tackiness. I could really feel it sinking into my skin. As someone with oily but dehydrated skin, I was impressed that it kept my skin hydrated even after some time. The instant glow it gave was beautiful, making this product a real winner for me! There's not much to dislike about this product. However, if you're not a fan of any stickiness, you might want to skip this one. I also wouldn't recommend it for those with extremely oily skin. The only other downside is that it's a bit pricey for the amount you get. Personally, I find that applying just this serum after washing my face is enough to keep my skin hydrated. I prefer not to layer too many products before bed, so this works perfectly for me. You could use it after your toner if you like. For those with very dry skin, I'd suggest using it as a middle step in your routine, followed by a cream. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2020
The Hwahae Testers Review: Absorbs well into the skin Contains oil that gives the skin a radiant glow and provides excellent hydration Skin feels firm and supple after application When applied to the neck, it feels fresh without stickiness and doesn't settle into wrinkles Great for use on its own as a morning moisturizer on days when you don't want to wear makeup The subtle fragrance makes it suitable for those with sensitive noses When used in a skincare routine of toner-this product-emulsion-essence, it can feel a bit sticky when mixed with the emulsion and essence applied on top, making it less ideal for use before bedtime Despite focusing on skin elasticity and wrinkle improvement, significant effects are not noticeable The price feels a bit high for the 40ml volume Two pumps are sufficient for generous application on both face and neck As it's lightweight when used alone before makeup, it might be beneficial to apply a moisturizer similar to an emulsion before your serum - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2020
The Hwahae Testers' review: I'm in my early 20s with acne-prone, sensitive, and dehydrated skin! Formula: At first glance, I thought it would be a rich, deeply moisturizing serum. However, when applied to the back of my hand, it has a non-sticky texture that flows easily. I expected it might feel oily on the skin due to its oil content, but surprisingly, it absorbs quickly with just a few pats. It feels light and non-greasy! Hydration: While it's not intensely hydrating, this serum is perfect for daily use without feeling heavy. I loved how it didn't cause any pilling and created a smooth base for my makeup! Scent and Sensitivity: The fragrance is quite common and likely won't be polarizing. I personally enjoy it, but those who dislike fragranced products might not appreciate it. As I have super sensitive skin, I usually experience tingling or burning with sensitive ingredients. When I first applied this serum all over my face, there was a slight burning sensation, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin! As someone in my early 20s, I didn't find it particularly impressive. However, my mother, who's in her mid-40s, used it for a week and noticed improved elasticity in her sagging skin compared to when she first started. She said her skin felt firmer, less dry, and her makeup applied better! It seems to help a lot with improving skin elasticity, though I haven't seen definitive results in evening out my complexion yet! 1. The serum doesn't mix well with just a couple of light shakes - you need to shake it vigorously more than ten times before each use. 2. Those with sensitive or acne-prone skin may experience a slight burning sensation when using this product (this is my personal opinion!). - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2020
Here's a review from The Hwahae Testers! Design: Wow, it looks so luxurious at first glance! The layered design adds to that feeling. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the product inside is pretty too. Having it on my vanity just makes me feel good. Application: The application is decent. However, since it's layered, you need to shake it before use. Even with vigorous shaking, it's not perfectly mixed after pumping. Still, when you massage it in, it feels like it spreads evenly. Absorption: It absorbs well! I've been feeling quite dry lately, but this product sinks right in and feels moisturizing. There's a bit of a sticky feeling after application, but it gives a sense of deep hydration which I like. I used it with my mom who has dry skin, and she said it made her skin feel much less dry! Moisturizing power: As mentioned above, I felt the moisturizing power was its biggest advantage. It feels more like an oil-based product rather than a water-based one. Usually, my skin tends to be oily, but recently it's been very dry and flaky. This product felt hydrating on my dehydrated skin, so those with oily skin might want to be cautious. Scent: The scent might be divisive, but I personally liked it! It has a strong soap-like fragrance, so those who prefer unscented products might not enjoy it. Complexion improvement: My skin tone seems brighter! I'll need to keep using it to see if this effect is long-lasting. Price: The price is a bit burdensome... It's quite expensive for a road shop product, so I'd have to think long and hard before purchasing. Ingredients: There are as many as 10 potential allergens... As I have sensitive skin, I don't want to risk continued use. Make sure to check the allergen list before buying!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2020
When you first apply it, it might feel a bit sticky, but once absorbed, your skin feels firm and not tacky at all! Since I use it at night rather than before makeup in the morning, and it absorbs fairly quickly, I didn't find it inconvenient. As it's a product that improves skin elasticity, I noticed that my previously enlarged pores seemed to tighten up and appear smaller! My overall complexion became more even. As you can see in the attached photo, my cheeks were reddish before, but I was surprised to see how much more uniform they became. I used this product with my mom for two weeks, and she said she saw improvements in her fine lines around the eyes. I think with consistent use, it could be effective for wrinkle prevention as well. The scent is quite strong. A strong soap-like smell? The intense fragrance doesn't last long, and I'm not sensitive to scents so it was fine for me, but those who are sensitive to fragrances might want to smell it before purchasing. After it absorbs and the stickiness disappears, it feels a bit rich, probably due to its nourishing properties. I applied it on my cheeks and chin, and used the remaining small amount on my nose. The next morning, my skin felt quite oily. I wouldn't recommend using it before makeup; it's better suited for nighttime use! Perhaps because of this, I noticed a few small blemishes appearing and disappearing on my cheeks. In the evening after cleansing, I wiped my face with an exfoliating toner, applied this serum and let it absorb fully, then followed up with a lighter cream than usual! Since this is a nourishing product, it's good to balance it out by using a more hydrating cream rather than another heavy, nutrition-packed one. As mentioned above, it's better to use this as part of your nighttime skincare routine rather than before applying makeup! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinMar 27, 2020
The Hwahae Testers review coming up! As soon as I received it, the case looked so luxurious. After cleansing in the evening and toning my skin, I applied this product. I think because I didn't shake it enough, little droplets of oil formed. Still, I managed to apply it, and when I woke up the next day, my face somehow looked better. After the first day, I made sure to shake it well before use, and it definitely absorbed faster and felt great. I'm particularly picky about absorption, and I was satisfied with this. I was a bit worried because some ingredients could potentially cause allergic reactions, but fortunately, I didn't get any blemishes or rashes! Overall, I'm satisfied. Hmm, the scent...? It's not that the smell is bad, but it's not particularly good either. Also, it's a bit on the pricey side. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. Make sure to shake it well before use! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinMar 27, 2020
❗️The Hwahae Testers review❗️ 🌿Skin type: Combination (oily T-zone) 🌿Review: Unlike other oil serums, this one doesn't feel heavy at all when applied. You can even use it before makeup without any pilling! It absorbs well, and you can feel it penetrating deep into your skin the moment you apply it. I used to use Missha's purple ampoule, but this has a much richer texture. It feels fresh when applied but not drying at all! With the changing seasons, everything I've been using has left my skin dry, but this product really helps with the dryness! If you're a skincare nomad during seasonal changes, this product will definitely help combat dryness! There's honestly nothing to complain about. I've been using this brand's products for a while, and this one is so much better that I'm planning to switch over completely! If there's one downside, it would be the devilishly high price... haha For areas that feel particularly dry, I mix a drop or two of this product with my foundation before applying. It works great for me without causing any flakiness!
