When the one I was using ran out, I decided to try this one instead, and let me tell you... I reflect on my own foolishness. This is a revolution. If you're looking for a highlighter with a pearly, eyeshadow-like texture, I honestly don't recommend this. This is not that kind of highlighter. In fact, it has a slightly tacky feel, as the name 'Night' suggests. However, if you, like me, prefer a no-makeup makeup look and are serious about achieving a natural glow, I highly recommend this. Especially when applied to the C-zone around the eyes, it creates a lifting effect, and when gently blended into the sunken areas of the forehead, it can create a naturally filled-in look.
ConsAs I mentioned, the 'Night' formula has a slightly tacky, sticky feel to it. In other words, it can appear a bit shiny and transfer easily. I haven't tried applying it over a full-coverage foundation, but I imagine it could potentially disrupt the base makeup if not applied carefully.
TipWhen applied over a skincare routine, sunscreen, and a light concealer, this highlighter, despite its initial tackiness, will absorb into the skin and create a natural, luminous glow over time!

But then I was selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer and got to try this product! My first impression was that it's not sticky at all! I've always avoided other night-time highlighter balms because I found them too tacky and uncomfortable to use. But the Hince Radiance Balm felt lightweight, so I was able to use it without any unpleasant stickiness or heaviness on my skin. :) I think we all have this desire deep down to have that dewy, glowing skin look. This product is perfect for achieving that luxurious, beautiful glow. It makes my skin look healthy, radiant, and sophisticated. The application is super smooth and easy. The lightweight texture glides on effortlessly. The product isn't tricky or skill-intensive to use, so I think anyone can apply it easily. The formula, texture, skin finish, and ingredients are all great!
ConsSince I've been wearing masks a lot, I do tend to get some mask imprints left on my skin. Oily skin types may also find it a bit too emollient. If you apply it over areas with texture or bumps, it can emphasize those imperfections a bit.
TipWhen using it as the final step in your makeup routine, just swiping the stick directly can cause your makeup to shift. It's better to warm it up on your fingers and gently pat it in. If you find the final glow a bit much, try applying it before foundation. Patting it in will allow it to sink in, giving you a subtle, luminous base for your makeup. The cream blush and lip balm combo also works beautifully to create a dewy, seamless look without any powdery separation.

Packaging The Hince products all have a neat and inexpensive appearance, which I like. 2. Natural Usage Feel First, the clear type has no pearls, so there's no uneven texture or pore emphasis, and I don't have to worry about blemishes. I was worried it might be too heavy, but it's lighter than expected, not overly sticky, and creates a natural, dewy look. Also, it definitely makes my skin less dry when used after foundation. 3. Ingredients Based on the information on Hwahae, there are no hazardous ingredients, which gives me peace of mind. And since it's fragrance-free, there's no risk from fragrance ingredients either. Even though I have sensitive skin, I didn't experience any breakouts after using it.
Cons1. Application Method Hmm, if I apply the product straight from the bottle, my makeup gets wiped off ๐ญ So I have to melt it on my fingers and gently pat it onto my skin... That's a bit inconvenient. 2. Transfer Inevitably, with wearing masks, the makeup does transfer more onto the mask. And my hair also sticks to it a bit. 3. Weak Highlighting It seems a bit too weak to use as a highlighter substitute. The dewy, glowy effect is not as strong.
TipIf you apply it straight from the bottle, there's a high chance of your makeup getting wiped off or moving around. So it's better to melt it on your fingers and gently pat it onto your skin, rather than just swiping it on.
