The balm texture applies smoothly, making it easy to use not just on the face but also on the body, which I really appreciate.
ConsIt's a bit sticky, so hair tends to cling to it. Also, the effect disappears when wearing a mask.

It also makes the skin appear healthier.
ConsI have some freckles on my cheeks and nose... This product doesn't cover them well ㅜㅜ So I only use it when I'm not wearing makeup, just a tinted cream. It might be good for people without freckles.

As soon as you apply it, a moderate glow appears without being excessive. The formula is not slippery but applies smoothly and leaves a slightly tacky feel on the face. It's not heavy and feels light, as if you're not wearing anything. I think it's best to apply it directly on bare skin. I applied it all over my face a few times, about the same amount as in the photo. It's just a nice product to have around haha. Hince products seem to be like that too haha.
ConsThe package didn't have any usage tips, instructions, or information about the ingredients at all. Since this stick balm product is relatively new, it would have been better if there was guidance on how much to use and whether it's okay to apply over makeup. Why do women get so excited when they finally get to open a package they've been waiting for? haha But since I won the Hwahae Trial Reviewer selection, the package didn't excite me at all, like 'Is this it?'. When I tried applying it over my Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, the makeup didn't cake or move, but there was a slight visible application mark. So I tapped it lightly with my fingers, and the glow faded a bit. Then when I applied more, the marks showed up again haha. So I think it's better to apply a little facial oil before foundation if you want a glowy makeup look.

It can give you a truly natural inner glow, not an overly shiny highlighter effect. With a soft texture and smooth application! Applying it to the front of your lips can give you a lively, vibrant feel.
ConsFirst of all, foundation adhesion is the most important thing. I was disappointed that it ended up peeling because I just applied it haphazardly. It might not be a bad idea to apply it to the front of your cheekbones before putting on foundation.

I have combination skin with an oily T-zone, while my mom has dry skin. It comes in a stick form, which is very convenient! It applies quite thinly and without feeling burdensome, so you can just swipe it on without having to control the pressure too much. If you feel it's not enough, you can just add another layer. I was amazed that even after layering it, other makeup like foundation or pearl products didn't slide off! Since it's in a balm form, it just seems to sit on top nicely.
ConsI prefer to achieve a dewy skin look, so I prefer products that don't get absorbed. But my mom used it to make her wrinkles look more refined. Previously, she would apply oil as the final step, which felt a bit heavy at first but got absorbed over time, leaving her skin feeling moisturized. This product is a bit more natural-looking from the start, but the effect lasts continuously. For me, this is an advantage, but for those with dry skin or who want to use it for wrinkles, this might be something to consider.
TipIf you normally carry around Vaseline, I'd recommend this product! If you find that petroleum jelly tends to clump up or ends up looking too thick and makes it uncomfortable to go out, this stick could be a good alternative. It can cover your lips, dry patches, and your whole face, so give it a try.

Ingredients: Among the stick highlighters or radiant products, could the ingredients be any cleaner than this one?! The ingredients are completely satisfactory. 2. Spreadability: It has a similar smooth, melting application feel to oil balms or multi-balms. I was worried that the visible micro-pearls might feel gritty, but that was just my concern - it melts away smoothly like butter, and the pearls don't feel rough or scratchy at all. 3. Moisturizing: It can feel slightly heavy when applied directly to the face, but when spread thinly, it helps manage any flakiness caused by blemishes.
Cons1. Minimal volumizing as a highlighter: The highlighting effect of this product seems no different from melting an oil balm or multi-balm with your fingertips and dabbing it on the forehead or nose bridge. The micro-pearls are also barely visible on the skin. 2. When dotting it on top of makeup, the makeup starts to peel off, and when using it as a hydrating radiance primer, there is a slight cakiness... Please refer to the photos I've attached! Oh, my face skin is quite distorted, so please note that I took the photos by generously applying the cream on the back of my hand. - Photo 1: I squeezed out a small amount of the dewy foundation (Clio Kill Cover Glow Foundation 2.5 Ivory) on the left and the matte foundation (Etude Double Lasting Natural Vanilla N03) on the right. The dewy one feels slightly lifted on my relatively pink-based warm skin. - Photo 2: I patted it out as much as possible to avoid creasing on my hand. Even though the dewy foundation has an inherent glow, it doesn't cover the unevenness as well as the matte foundation, but it still applied smoothly. - Photo 3: After both sides dried, I lightly tapped the Radiance Balm on top. The matte foundation peeled off quite a bit, and I tried to fix it with my fingers. The dewy foundation also shifted a bit, but it was relatively okay. - Photo 4: I tried to use the Radiance Balm like a primer, spreading it on my hand and then dotting the foundation on top. - Photo 5: (Please note that the previous photo of me patting it on is missing, as there are only 6 photos.) The dewy foundation stuck nicely and plumply to the skin thanks to the balm, but the matte foundation kept getting wiped off the more I patted it. 3. (Refer to Photo 6) It may be an issue specific to the product I received, but there seems to be some metal piece inside the balm that keeps rising up as I use it, making it impossible to dab the balm directly on the skin. I'll just have to melt it with my fingers to use it.
TipIt seems this product is better suited as a beauty balm to soothe the skin during winter or when dealing with flakiness, rather than a highlighter. The good ingredients make me think it could be a handy item to have around this winter as an emergency product. When it comes to foundation compatibility, I think it could work well as a radiance primer applied lightly on the nose bridge or center of the forehead, and then carefully applying foundation on top. (Since I don't have bangs, this might be more feasible for me.) Regardless of how it's used, it seems to blend more naturally and peel off less when paired with a glowy foundation/cushion rather than a matte one. So in the current COVID situation, it's a bit of an awkward product. Overall, I would recommend this more as a winter beauty balm rather than a highlighter function.

When applied with the stick, it has a honey-like glow effect, and when spread with my hands, it has a subtle sheen! Texture: Moderately rich but not heavy, and spreads well on the skin Spreadability: Smooth, spreads well on the skin after applying with the stick Design: Simple and compact, the packaging is pretty so it's good for gifting Price: Good value for money, would repurchase
ConsThe package design is pretty, but the brand is not visible when opening the product and using it
TipApply lightly after basic skincare and before makeup When applied after makeup, there is a slight smudging effect from the stick

Due to the mask, there is a lot of friction on my cheeks and cheekbones, but when I apply it, it stays moisturized and nice all day long. The formula isn't the most melting, but when it touches my cheeks or body temperature, it applies smoothly, which is great. The shine isn't too much, and it provides adequate moisturization without being too sticky, so it seems like a lot of thought went into the development. I'd like to try the colored version next.
ConsAfter applying it, if I put on a cushion, it gets a bit on the mask. But that's not a big issue, as the cushion would get on the mask even if I just applied the cushion.
TipI also apply it to my lips and nail cuticles!

The application feels like the product melts softly into the skin. I think it's a good item for dry-skinned people to use, as it makes the skin look nicely dewy. Overall, it's a decent product that can create a natural and beautiful glow.
ConsI don't recommend it for oily-skinned people. Your already shiny face will become even shinier. 😥 And if you apply foundation on top of it, that area will start to peel off. This is the biggest downside. For those who are not skilled at makeup, they may regret buying this product as much as wondering why they bought it. For those who are not good at makeup, it would be better to mix oil with your foundation. The promotional photos on the Hince website are somewhat idealized, and it's not that easy to achieve that level of glow on your actual skin. If it starts to peel off a bit, you'll have no choice but to do touch-up makeup on that area. However, at least that area will have a glow, though not as natural-looking. If you have very high expectations and purchase this, there is a high possibility of being disappointed in terms of value for money.
TipIf you apply it generously on your lips and then put on tint, you can create the most beautiful lips! Don't ever buy the Hince gloss, you can achieve a glossy lip look just fine with the Radiance Balm!👄
