Provides natural coverage and has better ingredients compared to other concealers. Doesn't cause blemishes. None. I don't have severe dark spots or redness, so I don't need heavy coverage. I'm using it satisfactorily. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 20, 2022
I'm using the renewed apricot-colored tube version. Interestingly, when I tested it on the back of my hand, the darkening effect was incredible, but there wasn't much darkening on my face. Strange! The coverage is great and doesn't look cakey. I was looking for a replacement for my old concealers from B* and D* that looked awful and patchy, and I think I've found a winner. The ingredients are good. It doesn't clog pores, so it doesn't cause blemishes. That doesn't mean it doesn't cover pores though - it does a decent job of concealing shallow pores. The packaging is absolute garbage... The concealer itself deserves 5 stars, but the tube is really inconvenient. It's so hard to control how much product comes out. When I'm in a rush in the morning, struggling with the amount is super stressful. I almost want to take the product out and put it in a different container. If you apply it with an 811 brush like YouTuber Minsco does, it covers really thinly and naturally! Check out Minsco's teary makeup tutorial for reference. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 5, 2020
I bought this famous product to try it out myself. While I don't have blemishes, I do have a lot of freckles and dark spots, so I apply concealer quite generously. I haven't found my holy grail yet, but this product is pretty decent. Concealers often feel heavy, but the Hanskin concealer's texture feels more elastic. It's similar to the NARS foundation I'm currently using. I liked that it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. I've tried various concealers, and this one allows for a beautiful skin finish even with broad application. If you apply it thinly around smile lines, it doesn't settle into wrinkles much. While concealers tend to be very drying due to their high coverage, this one is relatively better in that aspect. It's a great concealer for beginners. I have a 23 skin tone, so I used the Natural color. It's not bad over foundation, but when I set it with powder, either the color didn't match or it didn't blend well with my foundation. The concealed areas had visible edges and looked darker. If you do baking like me, you might need to get a lighter shade. Also, maybe because my dark spots are too intense, it doesn't cover them completely. But I haven't found a concealer that gives me perfect porcelain skin, so it's not entirely this product's fault. I recommend this for beginners. For those with extensive dark spots like me or those with advanced makeup skills, a cream-type concealer might provide better coverage. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 15, 2020
Ingredients: - Not a single blemish! I used to use The Saem products, but switched due to severe milia and pimples. I'm completely satisfied with this one. Quantity: - Perfect, top-notch! Great value for money. Such a generous amount of concealer at this price is incredibly kind. Brush: - Included brush for just 9,000 won? That's insane! The brush was great for covering large areas of redness. Touch-ups: - Excellent for touch-ups. Just cover blemishes with this and set with powder to control oil - flawless! Tube packaging: - Easy to accidentally squeeze out too much product. Coverage: - It's good, but... when applied to acne scars or scabs, it can make them more noticeable. Dead skin cells appear, unfortunately. Compared to other brands, the coverage seems much lower. Staying power: - You really need to set it with powder, otherwise it separates quickly. Dark circles: - Doesn't cover dark circles well... better try a different product for that. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 28, 2020
I've been using this concealer since before its reformulation, and I've gone through so many tubes... It's my holy grail concealer, and I must have used about 10 tubes by now. To be honest, its coverage isn't as high compared to other concealers. But considering how well it absorbs, the level of coverage it provides, and the fact that it doesn't cause any blemishes, I think it's more than sufficient! Its creamy, moisturizing texture makes it great for touch-ups too. I just reapply it on blemishes and set with powder to control oil, and voila - a quick and clean touch-up. It's also perfect for those lazy makeup days when you just want to apply sunscreen and concealer. This is absolutely one of those must-have items in my makeup bag. These days, there are so many high-coverage products available that in comparison, this concealer's coverage might not seem perfect...? - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 17, 2019
Hello there! I'm the person who got a bit miffed at Hwahae (oh, that rhymes!) but felt pretty sheepish when I saw my review was posted... Positives: ✓ Ingredients (No blemishes❌) - I usually look at base products in order of ingredients, coverage, and then lasting power. This one really knocked it out of the park with its ingredients. It didn't cause any blemishes, and even though I have somewhat sensitive skin, it worked great. It definitely passes in this department! ✓ Quantity - The amount you get is seriously generous. Even though I use a lot of concealer, I didn't finish one tube in three months. It's a lot! ✓ Coverage - The coverage is good! It hides most imperfections, but it does tend to emphasize scabs or open blemishes, unfortunately. ✓ Built-in brush - The built-in brush is a game-changer! It's amazing. I got this including the brush for just $8600, what a steal! Negatives: ✗ 'Ultimate' coverage? - It's not quite there. The coverage is good, but it's not the be-all and end-all product that can do everything. ✗ Product control - I was frustrated every time I used it. Why on earth is it in a tube format? On days when I fail to control the amount, it's a total waste. ✗ Emphasizes dead skin cells - It does this a bit. To be honest, if you put it on blemish scabs or similar areas, it doesn't cover at all and just sits on top of the skin. I used this along with the Holika Holika Makeup Sun Cream, and it gave a complete base makeup feel. Just keep in mind, it's definitely for oily skin types!
