As a sugar scrub, it seemed less irritating than salt scrubs. While there's an oil layer on top, unlike some salt scrubs where the granules settle at the bottom, this one had a good mix. I found it convenient to use after just a quick stir of the top layer. My skin tends to develop dead skin cells and ingrown hairs easily, so I use scrubs occasionally. This one seemed to work well for exfoliation, and I liked that it dissolved in water, leaving no residue after showering. I expected a fresh scent based on the name, but it had a sweet vanilla fragrance instead. The strong sweet scent lingered for a while after showering. While I don't dislike the scent personally, it was surprising as it differed from what I anticipated. I had saved this for summer use based on the name and packaging, but the deep vanilla scent seems more suitable for winter. After scrubbing, my skin felt dry and a bit rough. There wasn't much of an oil layer, so while I could feel that the dead skin cells were removed, my skin didn't feel smooth or soft afterward. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 10, 2021
Fragrance: As someone who loves sweet scents, this was perfect for me. However, if you're not a fan of sweet fragrances, you might not enjoy it as much. Exfoliation: After using this and applying an emulsion, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. Compared to the Tree Hut Coco Colada Rose scrub, the granules in this product are larger. Because of this, some might find it a bit more abrasive on the skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2021
As someone with combination sensitive skin, I was initially worried about the large scrub particles. However, it turned out to be better than expected. The scrubbing process feels refreshing, and the subtle fragrance that gently wafts around really lifts my mood! There is a slight feeling of dryness, but I think it would be great to follow up with a body emulsion after showering. It might work even better if used when the body is almost completely dry - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 23, 2021
The scent is delightfully sweet. It's so pleasant when the fragrance fills the shower! It seems to do a decent job of removing dead skin cells. If you're looking for a product that gently exfoliates while showering and has a lovely scent, this might be worth trying. It's exactly what it claims to be - a nice, crowd-pleasing option with a great fragrance. Don't expect too much in terms of hydration. I didn't really get that soft, smooth skin feeling. Probably won't repurchase. Use a spoon-like tool to gently (this is important) massage it onto your body. Don't scrub vigorously like you normally would when washing - that'll damage your skin! - st****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedNov 12, 2020
The scent is incredibly sweet, with a strong coconut butter aroma. There's also a hint of berry freshness that gently tickles your nose at the end. Personally, I think those who love heavy, coconut, and vanilla-like scents will absolutely adore this! It's as good as its popularity at Olive Young suggests. After use, your body feels soft and hydrated. The lingering fragrance is a mood-booster. The generous amount allows for twice-weekly use for about 4 months. The scrub particles are a bit hard, so vigorous rubbing can be painful. Also, the jar packaging might not appeal to those concerned about hygiene. It didn't bother me though! First, wet your body, then apply this all over. Gradually dissolve it with lukewarm water while massaging your skin. If you don't, it might sting. By dissolving it with water as you massage, you can exfoliate without discomfort. Scrub for about 5-10 minutes, then rinse off for super hydrated skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
The scent is delightfully sweet, and it definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth, which I love It can be a bit inconvenient to use when your hands are damp, as the product tends to slip off - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedAug 19, 2020
It has a coconut scent and is relatively gentle among scrub products! Overall, it's pretty good. The scent is very strong, which might be hit or miss for some. Despite being lemon-blueberry, it's overwhelmingly coconut-scented. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJul 28, 2020
The scent is quite pleasant, and after using it, my skin feels incredibly smooth. The generous amount you get for the price makes it seem like a good value. Compared to other sugar scrubs, the particles are a bit larger, which can be more irritating to the skin. - so****Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 29, 2020
It has a good consistency that's easy to scoop out with your hands and doesn't drip when you rub it on your body. The particles aren't too large, so it's less irritating (I was disappointed by Innisfree's salt scrub with big particles that ran everywhere, so I thought all scrubs were like that, but I was wrong!). Since it's not an oil-based scrub, it doesn't feel slippery, leaving your skin smooth and hydrated. However, the scent is quite unusual. There's no hint of lemon or blueberry as you might expect. Instead, it has a sort of dessert-like smell that's hard to pinpoint. I was really hoping for a fruity fragrance, so the scent was quite disappointing. If it doesn't come with a spatula, try using a yogurt spoon or one of those small spoons that come with rice porridge! - gk********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 19, 2020
The scent is delightfully sweet, reminiscent of cookies. If you're a fan of sweet fragrances, I highly recommend this. Regardless of the scent, Tree Hut products are excellent at removing dead skin cells. The granules might be a bit intense, so gently massage them and they'll melt away. It leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft, which is so satisfying. Personally, I was hoping for a fresh scent, so I was a bit disappointed by how sweet it turned out to be. The ingredients list is quite concerning! I want to keep using it, but I hesitate... though I end up buying it anyway. Since it's an American product, I doubt they'll update the formula... sigh. Having to scoop it out with your hands isn't very hygienic, which is a downside. Make sure to rinse thoroughly. It can feel quite slippery.
