It applies naturally and when spread evenly, it adapts to your skin tone, giving a bare-faced look. It's a great product if you want to achieve a natural makeup appearance. However, I found it quite drying. I don't remember the Sulwhasoo line being this dry... This one is extremely matte. The ingredients seem decent though. I wonder if mixing it with a hydrating moisturizer might help. The price tag of 60,000 won seems a bit steep, unfortunately. I always mix it with a hydrating moisturizer when applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinDec 1, 2018
I'm the type who prefers a natural look and finds it bothersome to wear makeup for long periods. I can't even imagine meticulously applying foundation with a brush. I skip eyeliner and mascara, and for color, I just swipe on some lip gloss and I'm done. As someone who dislikes the shininess of hydrating cushions and finds matte cushions too drying, I've found my perfect routine: I apply an emulsion, then use a sponge to apply this product. Depending on my skin condition that day, I might dust on some powder or apply a black cushion. This gives me a thin, moderately radiant base. While the coverage isn't particularly high, I actually prefer it that way as I dislike feeling suffocated by makeup. The staying power is also quite good. If I apply this over a matte sunscreen, it can feel a bit dry. In that case, I need to spritz on a fixer after applying this product to prevent cushion or powder from caking up. In winter, applying this over an emulsion can lead to dryness and flaking. On the other hand, applying it over a cream can cause pilling. The best method I've found is to mix an appropriate amount of cream and essence for a solid skincare base, then apply this product. This prevents flaking and ensures long-lasting wear. It seems some skill and trial and error are necessary to get the best results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 9, 2015
I have a complex and sensitive skin with redness. There were hardly any suitable base products for me, but I'm quite satisfied with using this one. 1. I was surprised to see many people saying the coverage is poor, but I felt the coverage was great on my skin, almost like a CC cream. 2. With a light primer, the longevity is good, and I rarely need to touch up anywhere except the nose area. 3. The adherence is not perfect, but I find it's quite decent if I layer it thinly multiple times. The only downside is that it's a bit matte. On dry skin days, it can accentuate flakiness, which is a bit disappointing. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 27, 2015
The coverage is average, and the longevity has a slightly matte feel, which is good. It breaks down beautifully, which I really like. Over time, it makes the skin look even better. The adhesion is not bad either. For dry skin, it may feel a bit matte when applied at first.
