It's too gentle. I used Dr. G's general adult sunscreen for a long time, but it was too dry and irritating, so I broke out. While searching for another product, I settled on a baby product, and now I don't have any trouble. Plus, it's very moisturizing, so it's not drying. Dr. G-Mild was a bit disappointing, but Baby is still suitable for adult skin. - ps*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedOct 16, 2024
Being a mineral sunscreen, it's safe to apply and go out immediately. It's definitely gentle on the eyes. It doesn't seem to cause blemishes (though I haven't worn it for extended periods). When used in summer, it melts and turns white almost instantly. It creases terribly in folding areas (eyelids, neck lines). There was no creasing in less sweaty seasons though. Also, it feels greasy, so the skin doesn't feel comfortable. The absorbs poorly, making it difficult to apply evenly. - 27******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedOct 14, 2024
The only gentle zinc oxide sunscreen that didn't cause blemishes for me. For those whose skin easily reacts to sunscreens, choose between chemical or physical filters based on what works for you, but make sure to check the SPF rating. I recently discovered that my skin can't tolerate SPF 50, whether it's chemical or physical. While most sunscreens default to SPF 50, this one is around 35. Using this, I was amazed to have zero blemishes or skin reactions. Despite being a physical sunscreen, it applies quite smoothly. The white cast is inevitable, but over time it seems to 'meld' with the skin. It doesn't look like you're wearing white stage makeup, but rather gives a slight brightening effect that leaves your skin looking beautifully matte. It's also easy to remove, so I just use a foam cleanser without needing a separate makeup remover. I'd recommend those with sensitive, blemish-prone skin to give this a try. There's not really anything to complain about. I'm just curious how it would work under makeup, given that it's a physical sunscreen. Due to the nature of physical sunscreens, application can be tricky. I use disposable makeup sponges to apply it, which makes the process much easier! - wa*******Normal SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresMay 2, 2024
It's easy to wash off. Since it's a mineral sunscreen rather than a chemical one, the ingredients seem gentle on the skin. It seems to cause deep dryness. Unfortunately, it leaves a white cast on the skin. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedApr 28, 2024
I love how gentle the ingredients are. I definitely want to keep buying this in the future. There's a white cast, but I guess that's unavoidable. Unless there's some new technology, there's not much we can do about it... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinMar 22, 2024
I have combination skin leaning towards oily, plus sensitive skin. When I apply harsh cosmetics, I get inflammation, itching, and tingling, so I usually avoid mixing multiple products or applying just anything. I bought this because it's a baby product and I trusted Dr. G sunscreen at the time, but ultimately, I don't recommend it. (I had previously purchased about 4 tubes of the popular green sunscreen for oily skin, but started getting blemishes from the second tube, so I stopped using it and switched to this product.) On the positive side, it didn't cause any blemishes. (Though I haven't used it long-term yet.) White cast Even when applied lightly without rubbing, the white cast is extremely severe. It's impossible to apply the proper amount. Pilling / Clogging Due to the severe white cast, I tried applying small amounts in layers and patting it in, but it still pills up and clogs pores and wrinkles terribly. I've only ever used mineral sunscreens due to eye sensitivity and sensitive skin, but the pilling with this one was shockingly bad. Not easily washable It absolutely doesn't come off with a first cleanse. I bought a baby product to avoid using strong cleansers like oils or milks, but it doesn't wash off with a first cleanse and I end up having to use an oil for a second cleanse. I wondered how parents would manage if they applied this to their babies. - an******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRednessRecommendedMar 20, 2024
It absorbs well and, best of all, comes off easily with just a first cleanse. This could be great for those struggling with a damaged skin barrier due to excessive cleansing. There's a bit of a white cast, so your face looks slightly pale when applied. It's fine once it absorbs, but still whiter than other sunscreens. This is an excellent short-term product for when you want a light sunscreen that's easy to remove, especially if your skin barrier is compromised and a second cleanse feels too harsh. - yu****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 17, 2023
I recommend this sunscreen because it's gentle, doesn't leave a white cast, and is organic, so you can even wash it off with a cleansing foam. It contains only mild ingredients, making it safe enough for children to use. If you have sensitive skin and are hesitant to try other sunscreens, I highly suggest giving this one a shot. I wish it came in a larger size, as the current volume is quite small. Apply an amount about the size of a nickel, and reapply multiple times throughout the day. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 23, 2023
It feels suitable for sensitive skin as it doesn't cause any irritation It can make your face feel a bit tight due to dryness, but it's still okay - sj*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJul 19, 2023
As someone with super sensitive skin, I've never been able to find a suitable sunscreen until now. I'm so happy that Dr.G Mild works so well for me! Even adults are using it comfortably, so please don't discontinue this product!!! There are no drawbacks, absolutely none! It has almost no scent and absorbs well. After applying a sufficient amount, just gently pat it in and you're done!
