It's unbelievable that this happened to me. It seems like everyone writes such long and detailed reviews, so I'm quite worried if my review will be good enough.... I learned about Hwahae through a recommendation from an acquaintance, and while searching and reading reviews of products I want to try or popular items, I've been getting a lot of help. I hope my review can be helpful to others as well. *^_^* This is the first time I'm using Missha's basic skincare products, other than their cleansers. I didn't have a very good impression of the brand before. The scent is quite similar to high-end cosmetics that I really like, like oriental herbal cosmetics. I'm quite satisfied with that. The balm texture was a bit slippery and heavy at first, but as I used it, it became moisturizing, soft, and the scent is nice. The added fragrance may not be good for the skin, but I usually don't use products if I don't like the scent. My skin tends to get very dry, so I've been using the Lien K skin and lotion (which I received as a gift with purchase from home shopping) and then applying the Youngnahgo. At first I just used the skin and then the Youngnahgo, but there was still a tight feeling, so from the next day I started using the lotion as well before the Youngnahgo, and the tightness was much reduced. In the morning, my skin doesn't feel tight anymore and it's been great.
ConsThe packaging looks a bit old-fashioned, like something my grandmother would use... But I guess that's understandable since it's an oriental herbal line. The price also seems a bit high, so I'm thinking of trying a different, better brand with the extra money. And having to use a spatula to scoop it out is a bit inconvenient... I felt some tightness, so I applied a bit more, but the next day my skin felt slick on the surface but still very tight underneath. After using it for a few days, my whole face started feeling a bit itchy, especially my forehead where I got some small bumps that made me want to keep touching them. And I got some pimples on my cheeks too :( The texture, scent, and moisturizing were all really nice, but I guess the issue is with my skin type. I already have a lot of freckles, redness, and acne-prone skin... The 2-week timeframe for whitening and anti-aging also seems a bit short, and I didn't see much effect. If the price was a bit lower, I'd consider repurchasing.
TipIt's great to apply a generous amount before bedtime, but if you use too much in the morning before makeup, it can get a bit heavy. If you're using a cushion foundation, it might work better, but with liquid or cream foundations, it can make the makeup look cakey. So I've been applying a generous amount at night, and just a small amount in the morning, patting it in well to let it absorb before doing my makeup.

It becomes moisturized and has excellent moisturizing power. Highly recommended for dry skin or middle-aged women.
ConsProlonged use may cause itching due to the phenoxyethanol ingredient.
TipIt is super moisturizing, so you only need to use a very small amount.
