If you're looking for something more floral or feminine from Aesop, this is definitely the one. While Aesop fragrances are generally unisex, this one, though floral, maintains that gender-neutral appeal. So if you want to embody that cool, sophisticated vibe, this is your go-to scent!

There's nothing particularly bad, but the longevity isn't the absolute best (the longest-lasting fragrance I've tried so far is Givenchy L'Interdit).

It's an alluring scent that teases you, like the rose is playing hard to get. Amidst the deep woody notes reminiscent of an ancient forest - with intense aromas of trees, woods, grass, and moss - there's a subtle touch of rose that gently caresses your senses.

While it aligns with Aesop's signature style and olfactory philosophy, my initial reaction was skepticism. I questioned where the rose was and if there was any true rose character at all. However, it challenged my preconceptions about what a rose fragrance should be, delivering a fresh perspective.

It took about five persistent applications before I could truly appreciate the charm of this fragrance. Once I did, I found myself drawn to Aesop Rozu's unique allure.

For me, Tacit was already quite woody, but after experiencing Rozu, I realized Tacit had a sweet woodiness to it. Rozu opened my eyes (or rather, my nose) to a new understanding of woody and mossy fragrances.

However, be aware that allergic reactions may occur depending on your skin type. This is the first perfume that's ever triggered an allergic reaction for me. I must add, the reaction gets worse over time. The areas where I applied the perfume became severely irritated. Even my wrists developed an allergic response. Interestingly, my mother didn't have any reaction, so it seems to affect only me. I need to update this further... As time passes, the allergic reaction isn't subsiding; it's actually intensifying. The allergic response on both wrists and the right side of my neck where I sprayed the perfume is... well, let's just say it's quite something. If you have super sensitive skin, absolutely avoid using this product.

But strangely, as time passed, I found myself reaching for it more and more. Why? Because the lingering scent is absolutely addictive... Before I knew it, I was heading to the store to buy it. It truly bewitches you...

It's a heavy fragrance that's perfect for winter. However, it lacks a soft touch, leaning more towards a weighty, intense feel, which can be polarizing. It's the complete opposite of powdery, light, and fresh scents, and opinions on it vary widely (it wasn't universally loved by all ages and genders). Many even said it smells like a men's cologne. But! Roju's lingering scent is no joke! When sprayed on the body, it leaves an incredibly deep yet smooth and comforting trail. The difference between the initial scent and the dry-down makes it all the more captivating.

This is an absolute must-have for winter. You can feel the warmth of roses enveloping you. The lasting power is impressive too!

Since the woody notes fade, it might work well layered with other heavier fragrances like hinoki for a more complex scent.
