Woody Rose This is the first Aesop fragrance, and it's surprising that it's not the most famous scent line. Many people don't use it, but the scent is really great, and a lot of people ask what this perfume is. The longevity is not bad either.

Among the deep woody notes, there is the scent of an ancient forest... the intense aromas of wood, foliage, grass, and moss are lightly touched by a rose note. 🥀I can understand Aesop's intended fragrance, but when I first encountered this scent, I wondered where the rose was and whether it truly captured the essence of rose. Yet, it provided a fresh perspective on my definition of rose fragrance. 🥀After spraying it five times, I finally grasped the appeal of this perfume and was drawn to the charm of Aesop Rozu. 🥀For me, Tesse had a predominantly woody scent, but after trying Aesop Rozu, I realized that Tesse also has a sweet woody note, and learning about Aesop Rose has opened my nose to woody and mossy fragrances.

This is a very delicately and beautifully expressed woody fragrance. Among woody fragrances, there are many that have a cool and rough impression, but the Aesop Rose has a delicate and fragile impression. Contrary to its name, the rose note is not strongly felt, and the predominant notes are the damp, water-soaked grass and woody scents. It's a fragrance that plays hard-to-get with me haha😏 Ah, it's really unique. The more mainstream scents still feel like something I've smelled before, but the Roju is just packed with aromatic and woody notes, with maybe a drop or two of rose? So it feels completely different from a typical rose perfume. I was hesitant at first, thinking 'Nah, this isn't it,' but strangely, the more time passed, the more I found myself drawn to it uncontrollably haha. It's because the dry-down is just so addictive... Before I knew it, I was on my way to the store to buy it. It's truly bewitching. The presence of this fragrance!!! is no joke. It's like shouting to the world 'I'm wearing this perfume!!!!!' Even just leaving the blotter on the table filled the room with the scent. Of course, that was in an enclosed space, but the projection is undeniable haha. It's a really fitting heavy fragrance for winter. But it doesn't have a soft feel - it's dense and heavy, so it's a bit polarizing. It's the complete opposite of powdery, fresh, and light fragrances, and the likes and dislikes are quite divided (it's not a scent that everyone, young and old, would love). A lot of people also said it smells more masculine. But!!!!! the dry-down of Roju is no joke !!!! When you spray it on your skin, the dry-down is incredibly deep yet soft and comforting. The opening and dry-down are quite different, which makes it an appealing scent :)
