A beautifully neutral fresh rose scent that's perfect for summer and rainy days No complaints about the product's performance. The price could be a bit lower though - cy*****Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 13, 2023
This isn't your typical rose scent. It's not just another sweet or purely beautiful rose fragrance! You get a woody, slightly spicy aroma mixed with the strong scent of roses pushing through the earth. The lingering scent on the skin is absolutely divine. The bottle design is sleek and elegant, and the spray mechanism is smooth, not sputtering. It's a big plus that they package it in a recyclable bag - very eco-friendly! If you're looking for something more floral or feminine from Aesop, this is definitely the one. While Aesop fragrances are generally unisex, this one, though floral, maintains that gender-neutral appeal. So if you want to embody that cool, sophisticated vibe, this is your go-to scent! There are no downsides! I'm absolutely in love with it. I'll be wearing this generously all autumn long. I like to apply one spritz each on my knees and wrists. Spraying it on the knees allows the scent to waft upwards, creating a subtle and enjoyable fragrance experience. - sa******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 6, 2023
Woody Rose This is my first Aesop fragrance, and I'm surprised it's not their main or most famous scent line. Not many people use it, but the scent is so amazing that I get tons of people asking what fragrance I'm wearing. The longevity isn't bad either. There's nothing particularly bad, but the longevity isn't the absolute best (the longest-lasting fragrance I've tried so far is Givenchy L'Interdit). It's great for winter, but can feel a bit heavy when worn in summer or spring. - wa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedNov 29, 2022
As scent perception varies from person to person, and interpretations of fragrances can be quite diverse, perfumes are truly fascinating. As a rose fragrance enthusiast, I found that Aesop's Rozu requires focused attention to catch the fleeting essence of rose. It's an alluring scent that teases you, like the rose is playing hard to get. Amidst the deep woody notes reminiscent of an ancient forest - with intense aromas of trees, woods, grass, and moss - there's a subtle touch of rose that gently caresses your senses. While it aligns with Aesop's signature style and olfactory philosophy, my initial reaction was skepticism. I questioned where the rose was and if there was any true rose character at all. However, it challenged my preconceptions about what a rose fragrance should be, delivering a fresh perspective. It took about five persistent applications before I could truly appreciate the charm of this fragrance. Once I did, I found myself drawn to Aesop Rozu's unique allure. For me, Tacit was already quite woody, but after experiencing Rozu, I realized Tacit had a sweet woodiness to it. Rozu opened my eyes (or rather, my nose) to a new understanding of woody and mossy fragrances. For those who may not be familiar, Aesop Rozu is an incredibly captivating scent that I felt compelled to introduce. At first, the woody notes seemed overpowering, but now that I understand this fragrance's charm, I have no regrets. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 23, 2022
The initial scent is subtle, but the lingering fragrance that develops over time is absolutely divine. I love that it's not your typical rose scent you find in ordinary perfumes, which makes it even more appealing. This has become my all-time favorite fragrance! There wasn't really anything to complain about... Oh, except the price is quite steep, unfortunately. - mu****Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 1, 2022
This fragrance offers an exquisitely delicate and refined woody scent. While many woody perfumes tend to have a cool and rugged impression, Aesop's Rose gives off a gentle and ethereal vibe. Despite its name, the rose scent is subtle, with the primary notes being damp foliage and woody undertones. It's not just plain wood and grass, but rather the aroma of rain-soaked trees and herbs! I particularly noticed the prominent damp quality, which lends a slightly cool sensation. It beautifully captures Aesop's signature natural green, herbal, and woody essence. The rose element is so subtle that if I had to describe it, it's like a single rose blooming in a forest on a rainy day. Spritzing this on a rainy day brings such peace to the mind and soul... It's a fragrance that truly shines on overcast days rather than in bright sunshine. Like most Aesop fragrances, its sillage is just average. - rl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinApr 5, 2022
The fragrance is absolutely delightful. It leaves a subtle, woody scent that lingers pleasantly. However, be aware that allergic reactions may occur depending on your skin type. This is the first perfume that's ever triggered an allergic reaction for me. I must add, the reaction gets worse over time. The areas where I applied the perfume became severely irritated. Even my wrists developed an allergic response. Interestingly, my mother didn't have any reaction, so it seems to affect only me. I need to update this further... As time passes, the allergic reaction isn't subsiding; it's actually intensifying. The allergic response on both wrists and the right side of my neck where I sprayed the perfume is... well, let's just say it's quite something. If you have super sensitive skin, absolutely avoid using this product. - Hwahae UserOily SkinRecommendedFeb 1, 2022
The rose scent is unique, not your typical floral fragrance. It's like a blend of roses with the earthy aroma of rain-soaked soil. As time passes, it leaves a subtle, lingering scent. While it's an eau de parfum, the longevity is somewhat disappointing. The fragrance does linger softly, but it seems you need to be quite close to detect it. - kw******Dry SkinRecommendedDec 29, 2021
This perfume plays hard to get with me! It's truly unique. While more mainstream scents might feel familiar, Roju is a whole different story. It's like a generous blend of aromatic and woody notes with just a drop or two of rose. So unlike your typical rose perfume, it had me hesitating at first. But strangely, as time passed, I found myself reaching for it more and more. Why? Because the lingering scent is absolutely addictive... Before I knew it, I was heading to the store to buy it. It truly bewitches you... And talk about making a statement! It's like shouting to the world, 'I'm wearing PERFUME!!!' It's so potent that even just leaving the scent strip on a table filled the entire room with its aroma. Granted, this was indoors, but I have to admit its presence is undeniable. It's a heavy fragrance that's perfect for winter. However, it lacks a soft touch, leaning more towards a weighty, intense feel, which can be polarizing. It's the complete opposite of powdery, light, and fresh scents, and opinions on it vary widely (it wasn't universally loved by all ages and genders). Many even said it smells like a men's cologne. But! Roju's lingering scent is no joke! When sprayed on the body, it leaves an incredibly deep yet smooth and comforting trail. The difference between the initial scent and the dry-down makes it all the more captivating. The price is the downside... It's on the expensive side even among Aesop fragrances. If you're looking for a fragrance full of aromatic woody notes with a hint of floral, give this one a try! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedOct 8, 2021
This is an absolute must-have for winter. You can feel the warmth of roses enveloping you. The lasting power is impressive too! It feels a bit heavy for summer use.
