The powder particles are fine, the color is beautiful, and it seems to apply comfortably on the skin! It's difficult to control the amount, and the included puff feels cheap. I recommend using a separate brush instead. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2021
Complexion correction It gives a feeling of evening out the skin tone. Perhaps because it's not a completely transparent powder, it seems to create a more beautiful base. Fine particles The particles are fine, so it smoothly covers pores without causing any blemishes. Controls oiliness well I disliked powders that made my skin look too dry, but this powder creates beautiful skin if applied well with the right amount. Some powders can make dead skin cells noticeable when applied to very dry skin, but this one doesn't, which is great. The built-in puff feels somewhat pointless, as if they're not sure why they included it It seems like you shouldn't remove all the stickers. If you put it in your makeup pouch, it might get messy. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2020
Quick review: A silky-smooth, long-lasting, asbestos-free powder! I have oily skin in summer and combination dehydrated skin otherwise, with a complex skin type. Being a guy, my pores are quite large and I produce a lot of oil... Initially, I was concerned about talc, so I reached out to the brand asking if it was asbestos-free. They responded incredibly kindly, confirming it is indeed asbestos-free, which immediately built trust (many brands don't bother explaining, but their customer service was excellent!). Using this powder has been incredibly satisfying. Since I naturally produce a lot of oil, powder is a love-hate necessity for me. I'd been using an expensive product for too long and was exploring alternatives when I fell in love with this one during the humid rainy season. First off, it dramatically improves makeup longevity. Despite my extremely oily skin, applying a thin layer with a brush and pressing it in with a puff keeps my oils at bay all day, even through work. It also provides some pore coverage without leaving a white cast, which is impressive for how lightweight it is. Another standout feature is that unlike some powders that clump up with oil, this one stays smooth and clean. Longevity: ★★★★★ Oil control: ★★★★★ Pore coverage: ★★★ The main issue is the packaging - there are too many holes, making it difficult to control the amount of powder dispensed. It's challenging for me to use with the built-in puff... Also, while it works great for my oily skin, it might be too drying for those with dry skin. Lastly, while the powder is great, I think a small compact version would be handy for touch-ups on the go. For best results, apply a very thin layer with a brush, then use a Real Techniques powder puff to gently press it into areas that produce more oil. This technique covers pores effectively and really improves longevity. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAug 17, 2020
I was pleasantly surprised that when I wore this under my mask, only a tiny amount of foundation rubbed off - usually it would be much worse! The scent is also quite nice, not too artificial, with a subtle baby powder fragrance. It provides just the right amount of tone correction, making it perfect for summer use. Unfortunately, the case and packaging look rather cheap. The puff handle broke off immediately without even being used, so I've had to resort to using a brush every time. Also, when you open the case and lift the puff, there's a lot of excess powder flying around. You might be better off discarding the puff altogether! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 17, 2020
Due to wearing masks these days, I always use a finishing powder, and Rimmel's powder had an excellent finish. After trying it, I understood why 'silky' is in the name. The particles are so fine that there's no patchiness, and even a small amount creates a smooth, matte skin! Also, while other powders can look heavy and obvious, this product isn't overwhelming and completes the makeup naturally. I usually prefer applying powder with a brush, and with this product too, I found using a brush gave a better result than the included puff. It's perfect for use right now, but I don't think it would be too matte even in fall or winter! The puff wasn't as rough on my sensitive skin as I expected, but it can be a bit tricky to control the amount of powder when using it, which might be disappointing for some. Also, as I have sensitive skin, I'm quite particular about ingredients. While I had some reservations about the formula, I'm glad I was able to use it without any issues during the period I tried it! True to its name, this powder seems to create a silky, glowing makeup finish. I especially liked that it achieves this effect with just a small amount. However, those with sensitive skin might want to consider it carefully due to the ingredients. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinAug 10, 2020
It perfectly controls that shiny, oily skin without feeling heavy or suffocating. The application was so comfortable! I found it worked best when applied thinly using a brush rather than the included puff. Using the puff can make it look thick and feel stuffy. Also, a lot of product comes out at once, which leads to an enormous amount of powder being wasted. That's a bit disappointing. Make sure to use a brush instead of the included puff! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinAug 6, 2020
As someone with combination dehydrated skin who can't live without powder, I stumbled upon this powder specifically designed for my skin type. Here's my experience: 1. Skin Appearance: When applied, it gives a slightly blurred effect, as if you've used a filter app. While it's not as dramatic as a concealer, it brightens the complexion and reduces unevenness. With mask-wearing, I've been applying more powder to minimize foundation transfer. Even with extra application, it doesn't look cakey but finishes with a soft, velvety texture! After completing my makeup and using a setting spray, there was no pilling. 2. Longevity: Following my usual base routine and applying this powder, I noticed my skin stayed matte for longer! Although I have combination dehydrated skin, my oily tendencies become more pronounced in summer. Realistically, no powder can keep you completely oil-free forever (I've tried many popular ones, and oil always surfaces eventually). However, this one delayed oil breakthrough significantly. When oil did appear, there was no patchiness - just a slight sheen. 3. Touch-ups: For touch-ups, I simply blot with oil-absorbing sheets and reapply this product. It refreshes my makeup beautifully! The slight brightening effect even seems to counteract foundation oxidation. 4. Eye Makeup Base: I used to only use eye primer, but summer heat was causing creasing. By layering this powder over my eye primer, I found it prevented creasing effectively! While I don't often use puffs except for touch-ups, I found the included puff a bit rough and potentially irritating to the skin. Also, the finger pocket on the puff is quite small, making it difficult to use comfortably. Here's a tip for long-lasting summer makeup, incorporating this product: Skincare -> Sunscreen -> Setting spray -> Let dry -> Foundation -> Concealer -> Setting spray -> Let dry -> Powder -> Color makeup -> Setting spray This layering technique seems to significantly delay makeup breakdown! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJun 24, 2020
- The powder-type formula applies more thinly than a compact and has incredibly fine particles. Just rubbing it with your fingers fills in fingerprints, creating a smooth finish. - The peach-toned color doesn't look ashy, allowing for a natural complexion. - Thanks to its fine particles, it applies smoothly while keeping the skin matte. - As described, it truly creates a beautiful complexion without settling into texture or pores, resulting in a smooth finish. It feels silky on the skin - matte but not overly dry. - A key advantage is that it doesn't leave a too-dry finish, unlike many powders. - Personal preference, but when applied with a brush, it makes the skin look absolutely stunning. - The puff wasn't to my liking. It felt rough when patting on the face, and most importantly, it seemed to diminish the advantages of the ultra-fine powder particles. - Like all powder products, this isn't suitable for on-the-go use. If you carry it around, it will puff, explode, and make a mess. Be careful not to tip it over. - The ingredients list is a bit disappointing... - For those who love a natural, silky complexion, try applying it with a brush!! It truly makes your skin look incredibly beautiful. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2020
As someone who prefers powder over compact, I really liked this product. It's skin-tone colored but has fine, transparent particles that apply thinly on the face. Rimmel is a British brand, but this powder is made in France. I appreciate that it's reasonably priced despite being manufactured in France. When I had to wear a mask all day during my teaching practicum in late May and early June, I used this powder followed by a setting spray. Even in the hot weather of early June, my makeup stayed matte until 4:30 PM, which I loved. The fact that my makeup lasted until 4:30 PM while wearing a mask is partly due to the setting spray, but also because the fine powder particles, when generously applied, prevented the inner makeup from smudging. I could go without touch-ups until the end of the school day. The powder doesn't spill in my makeup pouch either. The puff looked soft at first glance, but it felt rough to the touch. So I only use the puff to cover the powder holes and carry a brush instead. Since it's not a mesh type but a hole type, I only peeled off half of the protective film. The puff is a bit stiff, so I applied the powder with a brush. I found that applying generously, as if dusting the powder on my face, improved its staying power. I recommend covering about half of the powder holes with a sticker. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 22, 2020
First off, the powder is as fine as baby powder and incredibly soft! When applied as a finishing touch to your makeup, it doesn't transfer and greatly improves longevity, which I'm really satisfied with. Usually, compacts or powders have color in them, so they tend to rub off on masks. But this one is colorless, so it doesn't transfer to masks at all, making it perfect for use these days! The puff that comes with it was a bit irritating for me. I think it's because my skin is super sensitive. So I apply it with a powder brush instead!
