Hmm... It feels less heavy compared to other concealers? It seems to cause less tightness or irritation on the skin. It barely functions as a concealer. It's so stiff that it's difficult to apply, and it sits on the skin with a matte finish, actually highlighting the areas you're trying to cover instead of concealing them. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 21, 2022
I usually skip makeup and just apply this concealer! It's matte, but if you moisturize well beforehand, it goes on smoothly without emphasizing texture. Because it's matte, it might accentuate dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 17, 2020
I bought this a while ago but didn't use it much because applying concealer felt like a hassle. Recently, I've started using it again, and it's still great. Both the ingredients and the feel on the skin are nice. I also love the lipstick-like packaging. +Additional review In winter, I apply a rich moisturizing base and then this product. It's not too matte and absorbs well. The staying power is so good that I'm using it almost like a stick foundation. I'm hoping it doesn't get discontinued. It's perfect right now, but if I had to pick some downsides: There's only one shade, so it won't suit all complexions. If you don't use it for a long time, the surface might dry out a bit, making it feel matte when applied. Using a concealer brush allows for thin and natural-looking coverage. If the concealer feels too matte, mixing in a small amount of squalane oil helps it absorb more smoothly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 18, 2020
Even though I'm in my 30s, I've been dealing with adult acne, so I settled on this concealer after searching for one with good ingredients. I've been using this product for over two years now. Matte... matte... matte! In winter, I sometimes mix it with a tiny bit of sunscreen on the back of my hand first. It works well with Sidmool B.F BB cream. I apply a very light layer of the B.F cream first, then cover with the concealer, and finish with another proper application. This method works great. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 10, 2019
My skin is combination, sensitive, with closed comedones and occasional pustular acne. Previously, I mainly had closed comedones and rarely used concealer. Recently, I've been getting a few pustules that leave red marks, so I felt the need for a concealer. After trying various options that seemed to worsen my acne, I found this one with great ingredients. The ingredients are fantastic! It's probably the gentlest concealer out there, so I bought it regardless of application or color. It definitely doesn't aggravate my acne, which is a huge plus. Initially, I thought the color was too yellow, but it's actually great for covering redness. If you apply foundation matching your skin tone over it, any color issues should be resolved. The shade seems to be around #21, which is a bit dark for my #13 skin. I didn't expect much in terms of application, but it's not bad at all! It's a bit thick and dry due to the mineral UV filters, but the lipstick-like shape makes it easy to apply. The coverage is also pretty good! It works well for spot concealing, and provides medium coverage when applied thinly all over the face. The reason I deducted one star is because it's too matte. While I have acne-prone skin, it's also on the dry side, so this felt overly matte to me. If you've ever experienced mineral sunscreen emphasizing dry patches, it's exactly like that. It really highlights flaky skin around fresh blemishes or areas with dead skin cells. That's a bit disappointing. It's great for those lazy makeup days or when your skin is sensitive and you want to avoid harsh ingredients. The size is perfect for carrying around. The matte finish might be great for summer, but it's a bit drying for all-over application in winter. Make sure to moisturize well beforehand! This would probably work well for those with oily skin. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 24, 2019
It's challenging to find concealers with good ingredients, but as expected from Sidmool, this product stands out with its trustworthy formulation and excellent coverage. It seems to have a soothing effect on blemishes too. Plus, it's budget-friendly! The stick format makes it a bit matte, and it's disappointing that it only comes in one shade. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 14, 2019
I bought this concealer solely based on its ingredients and reviews saying it doesn't cause blemishes. Here are the pros: First, it truly doesn't cause breakouts. I've tried all the gentle foundations and concealers trending on YouTube and ranking high on Hwahae, but none are as safe as this one. Just swipe it on your cheeks with its lipstick-like applicator and you're done. While it can't prevent existing acne, it doesn't seem to cause new ones. You know how sometimes when you remove your makeup at night, you see angry red pimples just about to surface where you applied concealer? That doesn't happen with this product, which is amazing! Second, it has good coverage and staying power for its clean ingredients. Usually, clean base products are all show and no substance (between us), but this one actually covers redness. The longevity is decent too. It's extremely matte - no moisture or oil whatsoever - so it adheres to the skin immediately. Among clean concealers, it's rare to find one that covers this well and stays put. The biggest drawback of this product is its formula. The slightly stiff, matte texture combined with its solid form creates a fatal flaw. First off, you need to blend out concealer, right? To avoid that 'just-applied-makeup-here' look. But this one simply refuses to blend. It's so intensely matte that when you try to spread it, it just rubs off like you're removing dirt. It's frustrating! If you apply it before foundation, it doesn't mesh well with your foundation sponge and stands out. If you try to apply it after foundation and blend with a sponge, it immediately pushes away the foundation underneath. It's really difficult to use. If it were a liquid formula, it might blend more harmoniously, but as a solid with zero moisture, if your base is even slightly matte, it sits on top like you've drawn on your face with a flesh-colored crayon. When you apply foundation, it looks like you've layered over that crayon-like patch. Using it is so inconvenient! But here's the thing! It's the only concealer that doesn't cause breakouts on my face, and nothing else covers as well. So even if the concealed areas stand out a bit, I'm still using it without blending... I love it but I hate it... I hate it but I love it!!! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 2, 2018
Compared to other color cosmetics, this concealer has great ingredients. Despite being used to hide blemishes, it actually helps soothe them. On makeup-free days, I could confidently use it as a spot treatment to cover blemishes without worrying about the ingredients irritating my skin. It's too matte and doesn't blend well with other BB creams or foundations, making it quite noticeable when applied. If used before base makeup, even a thin layer feels like it's pilling. When patted on after base makeup, it seems to smudge the surrounding makeup. Because of these issues, I found myself reaching for it less often. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 21, 2018
Its small size, resembling a tiny lipstick, makes it incredibly portable. It's also perfect for layering over dark circles! I apply it directly to the dark areas under my eyes, gently pressing it in without using any brushes or tools. Then I pat it with my fingers to blend and cover. The coverage is medium to high, and it has a very matte, solid texture. Plus, it didn't cause any blemishes. It's extremely matte, so compatibility with your base products is crucial. If you don't prep your skin with a solid, hydrating base, this concealer might look noticeably separate on your skin. Another downside is the high price point. However, it does last longer than expected. When covering dark circles, remember not to spread it out! Always apply it with a light touch, as if you're just setting it on the skin, okay? Make sure you understand the purpose of concealer and use it effectively. Also, when my skin is severely broken out, I sometimes use it like foundation to cover my cheeks as well. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinFeb 26, 2018
As someone with a yellow complexion using shade 21, I find this product perfect! The brightness is just right, and the solid form is excellent for covering redness and blemishes. It's also great for touch-ups. The compact size makes it convenient to carry around, and it has good staying power too! There's not much to complain about, but oh! The slightly matte formula means it's not recommended for under-eye areas! After applying concealer, set it with powder for longer wear. I don't usually do touch-ups, but when certain areas fade over time, I apply this and press it in with a cushion puff. It works hard to control excess oil too!
