The ingredients seem to be really good, making this product quite versatile. It's so effective that when applied to acne-prone areas, it even helps to slightly reduce blemishes. At the very least, it didn't make them worse. While it may not provide full coverage, if you layer your skincare well and apply it gently with a silicone puff or foundation brush, you can use it all over your face as a foundation alternative. When using it as a concealer, applying with a concealer brush works much better. I usually use shade 21 with a slight yellow undertone, and this product matches my complexion perfectly, making it a joy to use. The amount is also more than expected, so it lasts quite a while. For a concealer, the coverage isn't particularly strong. Being a concealer, it can potentially be drying on the skin. Using a brush to apply makes a significant difference. I noticed that when I tried to apply it directly from the container, it tended to clump and become noticeable. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2020
The ingredients are fantastic and it's so portable! I've never seen such a gentle concealer before, so I had to try it. The price is also very affordable. The staying power is really disappointing. It creases under the nose and flakes off blemishes. When used as regular makeup, it feels quite drying... Given the great ingredients, those with dry skin might find it works well as a spot treatment. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMay 28, 2020
After my skin was damaged by using an unsuitable foundation, I found this concealer with great ingredients and completely settled on it. It applies smoothly, has medium to high coverage, and while its staying power is slightly lower, the best part is that it doesn't cause any blemishes. It's a bit drying. While that's somewhat unavoidable with concealers, my skin is quite dry, so when I use only the concealer, it makes my face feel itchy from the dryness. However, if you have a solid skincare base, this isn't a major issue! - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAug 31, 2019
The Sidmool concealer seems to have a reputation for being ineffective due to its good ingredients (you often see this on apps like Hwahae). However, I found that its gentle formula doesn't aggravate blemishes, and it actually provides great coverage! So, I'm here to share my experience with my troublesome skin. As I've gotten older, my skin has become incredibly problematic, with constant blemishes... I'm lucky if I have one or two good skin days a month. To fix this, I'd either need to stop wearing makeup or consistently visit a dermatologist (though lifestyle and diet are likely factors too). But I can't give up makeup, and I can't afford regular dermatologist visits... So, I'm just trying to maintain my skin by using products with good ingredients. Even in a 'maintained' state, my face isn't clear - it's always bumpy with marks, so coverage is crucial when I'm doing my makeup. But my super sensitive skin reacts badly to high-coverage products with harsh ingredients...^^..... So I've been using a basic foundation, but it's not enough to cover my blemishes. After searching for concealers with good ingredients, I settled on the Sidmool concealer, which has zero harmful ingredients (it does have two UV protection components)! I can't do much about the skin texture - products with stearic acid cause an oil storm and breakouts. So I've somewhat given up on smoothing out the bumps and just aim to look decent from a distance! I won't go on about the good ingredients (if you're curious, check Hwahae!), but I'll share some skin photos... It's bare skin - concealer (patted on gently) - cushion, in that order. The last photo was taken outside on purpose! Don't you think it covers blemishes naturally (not artificially) to this extent?! The skin tone looks natural too! Since I apply the concealer first, I find it blends naturally with my skin tone depending on the cushion I put on top. If you're applying it thickly, use a brush to lightly apply and blend the edges. With products full of bad ingredients, you worry about causing more blemishes later, even after covering them. But with this, there's no worry, and it works great. For the bumps that can't be helped, I quickly try to get rid of them by squeezing and putting on a patch at night! Then the next day, even if it's a bit red, it's settled enough to apply makeup. (Just be careful of dead skin cells showing) It's a holy grail item for erasing blemishes without stressing your skin! I wish more people knew about it! (My boyfriend was surprised when he first saw me without makeup... my skin was so red from blemishes....^^...we had a serious talk about before/after makeup) It can be slightly drying! Be careful when applying over blemishes as it may emphasize dead skin cells I use this with the Gaon Dodam BB cream! Some people are disappointed that it only comes in one shade, but I find it works perfectly when I apply this first and then blend the Gaon Dodam on top - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 31, 2019
When I apply concealer in the morning and come home after work, I feel like my blemishes have calmed down. I'm glad they don't get worse. It's drying, so after a while, dead skin cells start to flake around the blemishes. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinFeb 10, 2018
This product is incredibly gentle and so easy to use. The coverage isn't bad at all, and I use shade 21 which suits me well. It has a slight yellow undertone that helps cover redness nicely. I applied it like a stick foundation and loved it. Even when used over blemishes, it doesn't make them worse. It can be a bit drying and may emphasize dead skin cells. The scent isn't particularly pleasant. Make sure to exfoliate before using. It works great when paired with Innisfree's Oatmeal Sunscreen. For stick foundation-like application, swipe it across your face and then gently pat with a damp sponge. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 22, 2017
It matches my skin tone well, so it's not noticeable and doesn't itch. It's a bit dry. I'd like to add some tea tree oil to the formula to reduce the dryness. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinOct 24, 2017
It has decent coverage and is easy to apply!! Most importantly, the price is very affordable. The color is only one shade, so it was too dark for shade 17 and stood out, and it became extremely dry, so just that part flaked off. The adhesion is lacking. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 14, 2017
The coverage is not quite 'wow, amazing', but it's at a satisfactory level. The size is about that of a lipstick. The stick type is convenient. Hmm, it's a bit drying. On days when your skin condition is not good, this dryness can be fatal. It feels a bit sticky. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2017
I purchased the Hwahae product because the reviews were good, with the intention of covering my acne scars. True to its reputation, it has good ingredients and is silicone-free, so it doesn't cause any breakouts. As a concealer, it has minimal coverage and doesn't effectively cover blemishes. Instead, it dries out my skin and accentuates flakiness. I've tried mixing it with sunscreen and using it with a setting mist, but the result is the same.
