I had the chance to try a MAC lipstick for the first time at a great price! The color payoff and staying power are just as impressive as a lip tint. Above all, the shade was absolutely stunning. Due to its matte finish, it tends to emphasize dead skin cells quite noticeably. If you accidentally touch your face, the lipstick can smear around your mouth, which can be embarrassing at times. Apply a light layer of lip balm first, then use a lip brush to carefully follow your lip line for a beautiful application. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 6, 2024
I have a light skin tone with deep undertones, and this really brightens up my complexion beautifully. It feels like a mix of pink and orange. If you apply a water tint as a base and then use this on top, the staying power lasts even longer. As expected with lipsticks, the longevity is definitely disappointing. Also, while I prefer orange shades, this seems to leave more of a pink stain than I anticipated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 9, 2023
A beautiful red-orange shade that's perfect for summer wear. The color lasts impressively long on the lips. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the long-lasting power of a tint. It would be great if the ingredients were improved as well. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 24, 2022
The staying power was impressive, and the color complements spring warm bright skin tones beautifully. It's too matte, which severely accentuates dead skin cells and isn't suitable for dry skin types. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinMay 7, 2021
My personal color is estimated to have a deep undertone, and my skin tone is between 21-22 shades. ⭐Texture⭐ As part of MAC's matte lipstick line, it applies more smoothly than Retro Matte but is stiffer than satin lipsticks. It has a medium consistency. Exfoliating is a must! ⭐Longevity⭐ While it's not completely transfer-proof being a matte lipstick, it holds up quite well when talking, eating, or drinking. I guess that's due to its great adherence. ⭐Color Payoff⭐ One swipe delivers a vibrant, clear color. It's a blend of red, orange, and pink. When applied as a gradient, it leans more orange-pink, but with multiple layers, the pink fades and it becomes closer to a bright red. I thought Lady Danger would have many similar shades, but they're surprisingly hard to find. I haven't found an affordable dupe for Lady Danger yet. I really dislike the typical lipstick scent, often described as 'chocolatey'. Apart from the fragrance, I haven't found any other downsides yet. Lady Danger could work for cool-toned individuals wanting to try warm colors if applied lightly as a gradient. * Perfect match for warm-toned skin. * Looks amazing when applied after dyeing hair brown. * Personally love the coconut-like scent. * Rich color payoff and decent longevity (though not as long-lasting as a tint, being a lipstick). * The matte formula can apply a bit dry on lips with dead skin cells. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinApr 12, 2021
The color is absolutely stunning! It's like turning on a spotlight for your face. This coral-red shade looks gorgeous when applied to the lips. Being a matte lip product, it doesn't smudge easily and has excellent staying power. The color payoff is truly impressive. I love the scent, and it looks beautiful whether you apply it as a gradient or full lip. It's just an all-around gorgeous lip color. The only downside is that, due to its matte formula, it can accentuate dead skin cells. To avoid this, it's best to exfoliate your lips before application. That way, you can achieve a flawless, beautiful finish without highlighting any dry patches. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinApr 12, 2021
I have dry skin (flaky in winter), sensitive (atopic), and slightly oily as time passes. I received this as a gift and have been using it for about two months! As its reputation suggests, the color payoff is great and it has excellent staying power. Even after wearing and removing a mask, it barely comes off! Plus, for someone with a deep undertone like me, it gives a brighter look to my face. It's currently my most-used lip product! Since it's matte, if you don't apply a generous amount of lip balm the night before and exfoliate, it can emphasize dead skin cells quite noticeably. It's also drying, so you need to apply lip balm regularly! If you apply lip balm before using this product, it becomes less matte and works well! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2021
I have fair skin with warm undertones. I usually go for vibrant, intense, and bright lip colors. I bought this product a while back and used it frequently then. First off, it matches my complexion perfectly, making my face look even brighter. The color payoff is truly beautiful - it has an orange-red vibe. I think it would suit all skin tones. Being a matte formula, it has great staying power. I found it looked even prettier when mixed with glossy lip products. However, being a matte type, it does tend to accentuate dead skin cells a bit. Exfoliation is a must. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 22, 2021
The staying power is incredible! It's like the Peripera of lipsticks. Even if you drink from a mug right after application, it doesn't budge at all - it's that long-lasting! The colors are also super pretty. I highly recommend checking out the pro tips before purchasing. The case is seriously, seriously fragile. When you buy MAC, just know that it's bound to break at some point. The top part of the case is so weak that you'll end up having to buy a separate one eventually. This is an extremely matte product, so it finishes with a velvety feel. It's absolutely essential to exfoliate thoroughly before application. For the best look, apply it to dry, flake-free lips. Here's a pro tip: When applied as a full lip color, it gives a red-orange shade. For a gradient effect or lighter application, it turns into a red-pink hue. The versatility in color depending on the application method is one of this lipstick's best features!
