My skin naturally brightens up, which I love It absorbs well with a lightweight feel I've been using this for years, so I'm disappointed it's been discontinued... - dm*******RecommendedMay 24, 2025
I'm on my third tube because it's so easy to apply! Highly recommended! If you spread it too quickly, it can leave a white cast. Unfortunately, it seems like it's been discontinued. - qh******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 2, 2025
It seems great for applying to tanned areas or spots that need brightening Hmm, it's a bit disappointing that it can pill if you don't moisturize well enough Nothing in particular to add - in*********Dry SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2025
I used to have the old version, but bought this for brightening when my complexion became dull. It worked well for me. The coverage is moderate, and it suits my naturally fair skin nicely. I think the version I used before was more user-friendly. The tube packaging seems more convenient. - gk*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 17, 2025
It's moisturizing and absorbs naturally with a yogurt-like texture that feels rich and plump. It definitely brightens your skin, and even adds a glow! When applied, it makes your skin look incredibly hydrated. Since it has a dewy finish rather than a matte one, those with dry skin will likely find it quite agreeable. Initially, it applies very smoothly and feels comfortable, but the scent is a bit strong. It tends to separate and pill midway through wear, which is disappointing. The staying power is also somewhat weak, which is unfortunately common for brightening moisturizers. It transfers quite easily too. Due to the strong fragrance, it can make your face feel itchy. - gw****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedDec 18, 2024
I've tried countless brightening moisturizers since the pandemic started, but I always end up coming back to Chica Y Chico. It has great staying power, and unlike other brightening moisturizers that get too oily over time, this product doesn't have that issue. I'm really enjoying using it. It's absolutely fantastic! If you need to even out your skin tone rather than coverage, you must buy this. While it has great staying power and doesn't get oily, which is all good, it's a bit disappointing that it doesn't have any sun protection. However, since I always apply sunscreen anyway, I'll likely continue using this. It's not a major drawback. For even better staying power, apply this brightening moisturizer in the morning and then lightly dust some no-sebum powder on your T-zone. - lh******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 4, 2024
It's great for evening out the skin tone between your face and neck when used alone, and it works well with makeup to create a uniform complexion. Unfortunately, it doesn't absorb well, and the staying power is disappointing. I won't be repurchasing this product. - mm*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedAug 13, 2024
I'm finally leaving a review! Brightening effect: This brightening moisturizer is a must-have for those who want to match their neck and face complexion! The brightening effect is so good that I sometimes apply it down to the back of my neck, haha. Just keep in mind it's only a cream, so it doesn't provide sun protection. Texture: Like all brightening moisturizers, it can pill if you apply too much. For best results, pat in a moderate amount until it's fully absorbed. Scent: You can consider it fragrance-free. In fact, you might even say it has a pleasant scent. Well... I bought it thinking as long as it brightens well, that's all that matters. I've been using it for months now without any complaints. It's almost finished, so I'll probably need to buy more... - bm****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 12, 2024
Should I say it naturally brightens your complexion? It seems really good! You need to be careful with the amount you apply. Otherwise, you might end up looking like you're wearing theatrical makeup! - ex*******Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 1, 2024
Based on the natural-looking 21 shade with yellow undertones, it brightens and absorbs well, leaving a moisturized finish without any shine. While it doesn't offer coverage, it's great for a foundation-free look when paired with concealer. The staying power isn't bad, but naturally, as time passes and oil builds up, it darkens about half a shade. Personally, I find it looks even more natural and gives a healthy skin appearance at that point! I haven't tried other brightening moisturizers (and have no plans to switch), so I can't compare, but this is a satisfyingly reliable product. The affordable price is a bonus! There isn't a huge difference between the jar and tube versions, but the texture feels slightly different...? It might just be my imagination, but I felt I used the jar version more effectively. However, for hygiene reasons, I'm currently using the tube version.
