First off, I love that the ingredients are gentle and non-irritating. The cleansing effectiveness is also excellent. While it's too early to tell if it helps with hair loss, I'm more than satisfied with its cleansing power and quality ingredients alone. It can be challenging to use on long hair. To address this issue, they'd need to add more ingredients, but I'm willing to put up with a bit of inconvenience for the sake of my health. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinRecommendedMay 19, 2021
The ingredients seem really high-quality. It contains persimmon tree charcoal, kelp, and mud, and it's free from sulfate surfactants. Apparently, the ingredients are imported from Germany and the product is manufactured in Korea. The product effectiveness seems great. In summer, washing with this seems to reduce excess oil production. However, it's not a liquid shampoo but a solid soap form, so don't expect any fragrance or scent additives when using it. Also, you absolutely need to use conditioner or hair treatment afterward. Your hair might feel a bit stiff, so conditioner becomes essential. It says it's a one-month supply, which I knew when I bought it, but it shrinks quickly, which is disappointing. The gratis soap dish that comes with it is so nice that I don't want to throw it away, so I'm planning to use it for other soaps too. - rl***Combination SkinSensitive SkinNov 12, 2020
Absolutely nothing positive to say about this. Doesn't matter what your scalp or skin type is, just don't use it. I got this for free from Olive Young, and I still felt so stressed I wanted to file a lawsuit. This is truly awful. I can't understand any of the positive reviews. It completely fails as a shampoo - it feels like washing your hair with laundry soap. After washing, my hair became matted and wouldn't detangle. It's been two weeks and I'm still dealing with this. I have to wear a hat everywhere. It's infuriating. Not realizing this was the cause, I used it a few more times to try and fix the dryness and tangling, but it only got worse. Even after drying my hair, it feels like there's residue, and when I run my hands through it, it's sticky and won't rinse out with water. Other shampoos don't help either. At first, I thought I had tree sap in my hair... I absolutely hate this. I'm washing my hair multiple times a day now. If it were laundry soap, at least conditioner might help, but there's no solution for this. I'm a woman, but I feel like shaving my head... Ugh. My hair has become so dry and tangled that I'm losing a ton of it trying to detangle. What's with all the good reviews? Do people genuinely like this...? One star is too generous. It deserves negative stars. Only buy this if you plan to use it as hand soap or laundry detergent. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedSep 16, 2020
It produces a lot of lather and has eliminated my scalp blemishes. I use this exclusively when washing my hair. It might feel a bit stiff when you first use it, but it gets better over time. I wish the size was twice as big. It seems to be getting more expensive gradually. For best results, don't apply it directly to your hair. Instead, work up a lather in your hands before washing. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 21, 2020
When summer hit, I suddenly developed seborrheic dermatitis. Even washing my hair with a pH-balanced shampoo morning and night didn't clear up my scalp blemishes. But then I tried using this solid shampoo bar every 2-3 days, alternating with my pH-balanced shampoo on other days, and it completely cleared up! It can make your hair feel stiff, so ladies should be careful as it might cause tangles! Make sure to use a conditioner afterwards, or at least apply a hair essence if you can't use a full treatment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMar 17, 2020
I bought this as a gift for my dad since his hair loss seemed quite severe. He really loved it, which made me feel great. He's been using it and says his hair has improved a lot, so he's in a much better mood! He mentioned that his hair texture didn't improve as much as he expected... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 13, 2020
Using the wax spray daily... If you rinse after 3-5 minutes, it cleanses thoroughly. There's no irritation to the scalp either. Since it's a soap-based formula, it's tricky to store and a bit inconvenient to use. You can buy a soap dish to store it in. For those who style their hair frequently, it's great to use this and finish with a rinse or conditioner at the end. - Hwahae UserOily SkinDec 4, 2019
I tried this product because of its high ranking, and the ingredients seem fairly gentle. It's very stiff, making conditioner absolutely necessary, which I don't like. It's too much trouble to use on busy mornings. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2019
Great cleansing effectiveness Refreshing sensation Its strong cleansing power is the only redeeming quality Unpleasant scalp odor Hair becomes stiff and tangles easily Requires careful washing The Naver reviews seem suspiciously positive, likely from paid promoters - so******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinNov 1, 2019
There's absolutely nothing good about this product, I'm being completely honest. My hair had improved so much with the natural shampoo bar I was using before, but this... this made me experience true hair hell. I don't even want to give this one star. It doesn't deserve any stars at all. I literally experienced hair hell with this product. After washing my hair and applying my usual treatment, then drying it as normal, all the softness from yesterday completely disappeared. My hair felt like I'd washed it with regular soap - sticky and tangled. When I tried to comb it with my fingers while drying, it got even more tangled and started breaking. It also took forever to dry. All day long, touching my hair just made me feel like I was ruining it more. The sticky, tangled feeling made me not want to touch my hair at all. By nighttime, my scalp seemed even greasier than usual. I absolutely do not recommend this product. The only silver lining is that I bought it on a 70% sale at Olive Young for around $2. If I had paid full price, I would have hated myself for it. It seems that in times like these, Korean products are the way to go rather than Japanese ones. Long live Korea!
