I have concerns about wrinkles and extremely dry skin. The texture is like a runny nose - not too watery, but not too thick either! It's a slightly heavier serum, so you can feel a good amount of moisture when applied. The best part about using this product is its effect on pores! I'm not sure if it's solely because of this or a combination of factors, but I think this product plays a role. My pores used to be quite large, to the point where I needed a pore primer for makeup. Now, they've shrunk so much that I can apply makeup without a primer - I'm absolutely thrilled with this improvement! The scent is the most disappointing aspect. It has an artificial cosmetic fragrance that might be uncomfortable for those sensitive to smells. If you have oily skin, you might find this too heavy for summer use! - Hwahae UserDry SkinJun 13, 2021
Olive Young recommended a few hyaluronic acid products for my dry skin that needed hydration, so I bought one of them. Using the dropper, I apply a few drops and pat it in to absorb. It has a sticky consistency that makes your palms and skin stick together momentarily. It absorbs well, and once it's absorbed, even my hair doesn't stick to my face. As someone with dry skin, I usually experience flaking even in summer, but after using this, the flaking seems to have disappeared. When I tested the sample, I was wearing a mask so I didn't notice, but when I applied it to my face, the fragrance was so strong it made my nose burn. It's an extremely artificial scent that gave me a slight headache until I got used to it. I was very surprised as I've never used a skincare product with such an overpowering scent before. If I had known about this scent, I wouldn't have purchased it regardless of how effective the product is - that's how off-putting the fragrance is. On the second day, I noticed some small bumps appearing all over my face, though I'm not sure if it's because of this product. I plan to use it for a few more days, but I have no intention of repurchasing. I recommend smelling the product before purchasing to see if you can tolerate the fragrance. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 22, 2021
When I applied it before bed, I noticed my skin felt firmer and more elastic when I woke up. It also seemed to help improve my complexion. The texture is quite dense and rich. It adheres to the skin quickly when you spread it, giving a nice, firm feel. Wow, the fragrance is overwhelmingly strong. It's irritating every time I apply it, and the scent lingers for hours, triggering headaches. Unsurprisingly, fragrance is listed among the 20 caution ingredients, along with PEG. I wonder if adding fragrance was really necessary. The packaging is also disappointing. The dropper is awkward to use. Unlike the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Serum or Cellimac Noni Ampoule containers, which automatically fill the dropper, this one is manual. Even then, it's stiff and difficult to control the amount with your fingers. Most importantly, if you have even the slightest blemish or wound, it stings terribly when applied. It's so painful that it makes those 'stinging serums' seem mild in comparison. The stinging sensation makes me hesitant to use it regularly. I recommend applying this product like you would with Eucerin Repair Cream or Urea Cream. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 20, 2021
As someone who's tried over 70 different skincare brands, I'm always excited to test new products. I was lucky enough to be selected by The Hwahae Testers to use this product for two full weeks before writing this review. This is my fourth hyaluronic acid essence, and I was using a tiny bottle of GE7 right before winning the Eucerin AOX. The difference in texture is night and day. Let me share the standout benefits I've personally experienced. While I haven't seen dramatic results from functional cosmetics before, this product definitely improved my skin texture and elasticity. These positive effects are significant enough to outweigh the drawbacks I'll mention later. It provides more immediate and noticeable results than most eye creams, firming creams, or essences from other brands. My dull skin that usually doesn't take makeup well has visibly improved and looks more even. If a product works this well, it's hard to resist buying it. However, I can't say it has whitening effects (diet is the best way to improve skin tone anyway), and it doesn't quite match the results of a dermatologist's 'water glow' injection (which is understandable, as that's injected directly into the dermis). As someone with dry and sensitive skin, I only experienced slight tingling in small areas twice during the two-week period, with no other issues. I've recently been using Skinfood Caviar Essence, Dr. Jart+ Cream, Witch's Pouch Eye Cream, and five other skincare products without seeing much effect. In contrast, Eucerin AOX showed results in just 4-5 days. The dropper is uniquely designed - you press the top to dispense a precise amount, which feels quite luxurious. In conclusion, I'm not a Eucerin employee, I promise! But I think it's worth trying at least once. The biggest drawback is the fragrance. It's not just a matter of containing potentially harmful fragrance ingredients - the scent is overwhelmingly strong. While most Korean cosmetics these days have minimal or no fragrance, this German product has an intense artificial smell that hits you as soon as you use it. It's even stronger than regular shampoo, almost like nail polish remover. It might be difficult to use if you have children or pets around. The second drawback is the texture. As someone with extremely dry skin, I enjoy rich products and often use oils. However, others might find the initial sticky feeling off-putting. It does settle to a powdery finish after 3-5 minutes, but it's the stickiest hyaluronic acid product I've ever used. That said, this thickness helps create a stronger protective barrier and smooths skin texture. As someone with dry skin who dislikes light textures, I'm very satisfied with this. This essence pairs well with other emulsions and toners. I've tested it with various products in my collection, and found it works particularly well with propolis toner. It enhances hydration, adds a glow, and improves lasting power. Most importantly, the stickiness disappears quickly as it absorbs, leaving skin moisturized. My ideal routine is using a galactomyces toner to refine skin texture, followed by the Eucerin AOX essence, then propolis toner. I finish with a generous layer of cream. This combination keeps my skin plump and hydrated for at least 20 hours. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJan 18, 2021
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers. Being a liquid, it absorbs well. As it's from Eucerin, I had high expectations, but this is the only positive aspect I found. The scent is overwhelmingly strong! It's not exactly unpleasant, but similar to the Uriage lip balm scent. However, it's so intense that it becomes nauseating. Honestly, due to the fragrance, I couldn't use it much, so I'm unsure about any skin improvements. Also, it feels extremely sticky after application. This does improve after some time, but it's very sticky initially. It comes with a dropper, but the bottle cap is short, making it difficult to grip and squeeze with your hand. I hope this aspect can be improved. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 17, 2021
In these times when wearing a mask is essential, my sensitive skin had been experiencing severe blemishes around the chin area. I was selected for the Hwahae Testers program and used this product for about two weeks. I'm pleased to say that I've noticed fewer breakouts, and my skin's sensitivity and dullness have significantly improved! I really like it! The lightweight texture allows the product to absorb quickly into the skin. You might feel a slight stickiness immediately after application, but it dissipates quickly, which is great. Recently, even my usual products sometimes felt uncomfortable due to mask-wearing, but this one felt less suffocating. Unless my skin was extremely sensitive that day, I didn't experience any tingling or discomfort after using the product. Personally, I've enjoyed using it for about two weeks. Also, it comes with a dropper, and one press releases about 1/3 of the dropper's content. I used it in two separate applications and I'm satisfied with that. As someone sensitive to fragrances, I found the initial scent a bit disappointing. It had an artificial or typical 'cosmetic' smell, which was slightly off-putting. While I appreciate the dropper design, it's a bit challenging to use. It's easy to press initially, but it becomes difficult to squeeze when you're trying to apply it directly to your face. Although I received this through a giveaway event, I find the price to be on the higher side. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2021
This is a review from The Hwahae Testers: Skin texture improvement: If I had to pick the best improvement after using this product, it's definitely the skin texture! My skin, which had become rough due to wearing masks, has become incredibly soft! Everyone I meet is going crazy asking to touch my skin... Complexion improvement: It doesn't dramatically turn your skin white, but after consistently using it for over two weeks, my overall skin tone has become clearer. It feels incredibly transparent! I'm extremely satisfied with this aspect. Blemish improvement: It feels like it calms down skin irritated by masks. Before using this product, I used a cica serum, but this feels even more soothing than cica. Elasticity: To be honest, I'm not old enough to notice much facial elasticity, but I've always been stressed about neck wrinkles and skin since I was young. I applied it to my neck as well, and now the wrinkles seem to have faded a bit! The scent is too strong! This was really disappointing! The fragrance is extremely potent. For someone like me who is sensitive to smells, it's a huge letdown. Even my friend who isn't particularly sensitive to scents said the fragrance was too strong! The product itself is great, but the scent is really such a shame... The container itself is unique. When you press down on the top of the lid, it draws in a certain amount, and when you press again, the solution comes out. It requires more force than you might expect! I use both hands to press it. - Hwahae UserDry SkinJan 11, 2021
First off, I loved the beautiful dropper bottle design, and Eucerin's professional reputation was a plus. The serum felt substantial when applied, absorbed quickly, and wasn't sticky at all - which I really appreciated. I mainly used it for night care, and it seemed to replenish the moisture my skin was lacking during the winter months. The artificial fragrance was quite strong when applied to my face, which I found a bit off-putting. Also, the dropper only dispenses about half of the serum, so that's an area that could use some improvement. Those with super sensitive skin might experience some tingling, so it's best to be cautious when using this product. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 9, 2021
As someone with sensitive and dry skin prone to blemishes, I often struggle with products that are too rich or don't absorb well, leading to breakouts. However, I'm pleasantly surprised by this one! The texture is fantastic - it's quite thick, but absorbs quickly without much effort. For a lazy skincare enthusiast like me, this is a huge win. Despite being dry-skinned and prioritizing hydration, I didn't feel any oiliness, yet it provided just the right amount of moisture. It might need a bit of extra hydration layered on top for my skin type though. Initially, there was a tingling sensation, but it subsided over time, suggesting it's actually improving my skin's hydration levels. The most impressive part? It significantly enhances skin texture. Unlike products that show immediate results but revert overnight, this one maintains the improvement, leaving my skin feeling refined even the next day. The thick consistency, while great for the skin, poses a challenge with the dropper. It struggles to draw up the product effectively, making application a bit of a workout for your fingers. But the real dealbreaker for me is the scent. Being sensitive to strong fragrances, I find this one overpowering and long-lasting. It reminds me of a dentist's office - not exactly the most pleasant association. The intense aroma gives me headaches, which is unfortunate because the product itself works well. It seems to work well as a base under makeup too.
