I used to layer multiple products to combat dryness, which took a long time to absorb. With this product, I've been able to cut down 2-3 steps in my routine. Despite its intense moisturizing power, it absorbs quickly. I even used a hair dryer after applying it without a cream, and I didn't feel any dryness at all. My deep dryness has significantly improved, even with fewer skincare steps. It's the best moisturizing ampoule I've tried so far.
ConsAfter absorption, there's a slightly sticky residue that might bother some people. It can make your hair stick to your face, causing itchiness. Also, I think it's overpriced for the amount you get. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy it again.
TipAfter using an exfoliating toner, clay mask, and essence (emulsion), I applied this ampoule thinly instead of cream, let it absorb fully, then applied a thicker layer. This method provided better moisturization than using a regular moisturizing cream.

Moreover, I still have some atopic skin, making dead skin cell management extremely important. As a result, I need to exfoliate gently every day. Despite having oily skin, I prefer serums or ampoules with a rich texture that absorbs well, rather than lightweight products, to protect my skin barrier. ❤️ Preferred texture (products suitable for atopic skin) As a consumer who loved Real Barrier's Soothing Ampoule, mask, and Extreme Cream Mask, I had high expectations when I first received this product, and it didn't disappoint! This ampoule suited my skin perfectly, so much so that I'm considering repurchasing it for family use, even after my role as a Hwahae Tester ends. Before receiving this product, I used to buy Real Barrier's Extreme Cream Mask one tub at a time to soothe my troubled skin. This new product feels like a more concentrated version of the essence from that mask, now in ampoule form. ❤️ A whole cream in one ampoule I know Real Barrier is famous for its hydrating and repairing creams, but personally, neither of those products suited my skin well. However, I was completely won over by the face mask I received as a sample, and this ampoule is equally satisfying. The ampoule's texture feels like a more concentrated, slightly thinner version of the Extreme Cream. ❤️ Fast absorption despite rich texture Despite its rich texture, it absorbs quickly without leaving much residue. During this changing season, applying it 2-3 times on the face and massaging it in makes a real difference to the skin the next day. It gives a beautiful glow, as if you've used a sleeping pack. ❤️ Convenient dropper I love that when you close the bottle, the ampoule solution is automatically drawn into the dropper. This eliminates the need to squeeze twice, making it very convenient to use!
Cons✍🏻 Residue If you usually prefer very lightweight ampoules/serums/moisturizers, you might find the residue after absorption a bit heavy. My sister, who tried this product with me, doesn't like applying heavy products all over her face and wasn't a fan of using this all over. However, she found it great for applying like an ointment on itchy areas of her face instead of cream. She said it absorbed well overnight and calmed her skin, making it a good alternative to sticky ointments. ✍🏻 Volume Perhaps because Real Barrier focuses on creams, this ampoule, like their previous Soothing Ampoule, doesn't come in a large size. Usually, for those with atopic skin, products that work well on the face also work well on the body, so the product tends to run out quickly. In our household, where my siblings and I all have atopic skin, we're almost out after just two weeks of use during this dry transitional season... 😭 I wish they would consider selling a larger size, even as a limited edition. ✍🏻 Scent It has a slight herbal scent, similar to traditional medicine. This is common in most of Real Barrier's cream line, but it might not be appealing to those sensitive to smells. My younger brother, who is very sensitive to scents, kept mentioning that the smell wasn't to his liking every time he applied it to his skin.
Tip👍🏻 This ampoule is great for massages. Using it with lymph node massage is particularly effective! 👍🏻 My usual skincare routine is COSRX Original Clear Pad > Real Barrier Extreme Cream Ampoule > Innisfree Derma Formula Green Tea Probiotic Cream > Laneige Water Bank Ultra Cream. Since this ampoule is a bit heavier, I found it works best as a care product after exfoliation, especially when used as a sleeping pack. It pairs exceptionally well with exfoliating pads rather than regular exfoliating toners. 👍🏻 For itchy areas like the face, back of hands, or elbow creases, applying a small amount of this product and letting it absorb was more effective for continuous management than using specialized atopy creams or ointments. It's less sticky and absorbs faster than those products, making it less bothersome and easier to apply consistently.
