The ingredients are good, so even in the middle of winter, I mix a few drops into the last moisturizer after basic skincare, and it works great even in the biting wind! Or after basic skincare, I rub it in the palm of my hand and gently pat it all over my face, and it withstands the cold wind well.
ConsI don't have it, but if you have a nut allergy, you shouldn't use it.

Applying it day and night keeps the skin nicely hydrated. Hwahae Trial Reviewer seems to be a good choice for use during seasonal changes.
ConsIt does have a distinctive scent, but that's the natural aroma of the unrefined oil, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. When applied around the eyes, it can cause stinging, so you'll need to wipe it away with a cotton swab. In cold weather, the coconut oil can solidify into granules, so you'll need to melt it in lukewarm water. Even when discounted, it's still relatively expensive.

(Skin type: dry/sensitive + thin skin with redness) (Occasionally suffer from folliculitis due to stress and weakened immunity) To sum it up, This is one of the few reviews on Hwahae that I gave a full 5-star rating โจ + Fragrance: The most common talk about tamanu oil is its fragrance, and there are quite a few expressions that make you want to plug your nose just by reading them; This was my first experience with tamanu oil, and it was the Rangbio oil from Rangbell that made me a huge fan of tamanu oil :) I absolutely loved the fragrance! ๐๐ป I recently also tried the tamanu oil from Dr. Olga, but even though it's also tamanu oil, the fragrance was quite different, likely due to the blending. The long introduction was to say that I can describe the fragrance of the Rangbell tamanu oil as similar to the herb 'angelica' among Korean herbs and greens. If you're worried about the fragrance, you can try smelling angelica at the grocery store to get a sense of it beforehand. + Great for hydration, also good for troubled skin: During the dry winter when I didn't have any breakouts, I would mix a few drops of the Rangbio oil into the Estrala 365 cream as the final step, and it was incredibly helpful for maintaining skin hydration and balance. My uneven skin tone became more even, and my skin would feel deeply hydrated even after waking up. It felt like my skin was becoming healthier. Personally, I liked using the oil on its own, but I found it worked even better when mixed into a cream. Then in the spring, I struggled with folliculitis (caused by mask-wearing, stress, and weakened immunity) on my chin area. This was the only oil I could use even with the skin troubles, as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It didn't worsen the breakouts, but it also didn't have a significant calming effect. In summary, this is an oil with a nice medium density that is really helpful for skin hydration and skin barrier, and can even be used on troubled skin.
ConsTwo minor downsides, though they are quite insignificant compared to how much I enjoyed the product ^^ - Due to the anti-inflammatory ingredients, it stings a lot if it gets in your eyes: I didn't notice this when using the dropper, but when I mixed it into a mist and sprayed it, I experienced this. +_+ Be very careful, as even a little bit getting in your eyes will sting a lot. - Crystalline particles form, and even as the weather warms up, the crystals that have already formed on the inside of the bottle don't melt even when shaken. Fortunately, they don't come out through the dropper, but it was a bit disappointing that I couldn't use it as cleanly.
TipThe brand's website stated that this product can be used both day and night, but from searching online, I've seen mentions that tamanu oil isn't completely non-photosensitizing, but rather has a lower level of photosensitivity, so it's generally recommended to use it at night. (I'm also curious to know the definitive facts on this ๐ค) I've used this generously during the day as well, and didn't experience any particular issues. This isn't a pro tip, but just a note that may be helpful for anyone who is concerned about this aspect.

It seems suitable for daily use.
ConsThe review mentions that initially, the oil had some granules or crystals that felt a bit rough on the skin when applied, likely due to the cold weather causing it to partially freeze. However, the reviewer notes that the oil has now melted at room temperature and the crystals are no longer present. The reviewer points out that for those with sensitive skin, the presence of those crystals could potentially be irritating, so they advise caution for such users. Interestingly, the reviewer found the natural scent of the oil to not be overpowering, despite the expectation of a strong fragrance. In fact, the reviewer suggests that an oil without any added fragrances may be even safer, as fragrance ingredients are often classified as potentially harmful or requiring caution.
TipThe review states that since the ingredients in the Rangbell oil are gentle, it can be used safely on children as well. The reviewer mixed the oil with the kids' lotions and massaged it all over their bodies, which provided great moisturization for them during the winter. The reviewer also found the oil helpful for their dry face caused by runny noses - applying a few drops of the oil after their skincare routine helped quickly rehydrate the skin. As for the reviewer's occasional usage method, they describe the following: After cleansing, they would apply their toner multiple times to help it absorb, then they would dispense a few drops of the oil into their hands. They would warm the oil with their body heat, then gently massage it into their face in a patting motion. This helps the oil absorb better and also shapes the facial contours.

Since it has a viscous consistency, it's more suitable to press and pat it onto the face rather than rubbing it in. The fact that it's a natural oil is the biggest advantage. I didn't experience any major breakouts, and I've also applied it to my child's dry skin, and the moisturizing effect was quite good.
ConsWhen the package arrived, it was frozen, so I thought it was a genuine natural oil. However, I could feel small granules, and it hurts when I rub it on my face. They say the granules themselves don't contain any harmful ingredients, but they can physically damage the skin, so I recommend applying it gently, just barely touching the skin. And compared to other oils, the price is several times higher, but I didn't feel like it benefited my skin that much. The scent is very herbal, and that fragrance lingers at the tip of my nose until I wash my face.
TipSince the texture is heavy, it's better to mix it with other creams to improve the application.

Other oils tend to feel sticky, causing my makeup to smear when applied to my face. However, this oil absorbed quickly and felt refreshing. It also did not cause any breakouts.
ConsThe fragrance was too strong. At first, it had an unusual, pungent smell, almost like wood vinegar. Products that are good for the body often have an unusual scent. Also, when I shook the bottle, some grainy particles came out, which felt unpleasant and irritating.
TipJust apply it in small amounts.
