It's great that it's mildly acidic, gentle, and fragrance-free!! It seems to help with blemishes as well, so I'm satisfied. The lather is not as abundant as expected, so the cleansing power is not as good as anticipated. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinJan 30, 2025
My skin type: Oily, prone to blemishes Blemishes: None Absorption: Good Cleansing effectiveness: Excellent Scent: Herbal, soap-like Texture: Gel, slightly sticky Repurchase intention: Maybe Recommended for: All skin types Overall impression: Generally satisfactory, skin feels refreshed after washing The overall ambiguous feeling makes me less inclined to use it regularly - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 20, 2025
I'd like to review Dr.G's pH-Balanced Cleansing Gel Foam, a hydrating cleanser that considers not only skin type and seasonal factors but also skin condition and barrier health. My skin type is dry, acne-prone, sensitive, and atopic. The pump dispenser is hygienic and dispenses just the right amount for one use, making it convenient. The scent is very mild, which is great. As the name suggests, it has a gel texture that produces fine foam. Despite its appearance, it cleanses thoroughly, which is satisfying. I use it as a second cleanser, final cleanser (to remove impurities or bacteria that touch my face while washing hair), or morning cleanser depending on my skin's daily condition. It's especially useful in the current season. It's been tested to reduce 5 types of harmful skin bacteria (including acne-causing bacteria) by over 90%, making it suitable for my acne-prone skin. The ingredients are great, allowing me to use it with confidence. The 5-biome helps maintain a healthy skin barrier, while the filaggrin complex strengthens and hydrates sensitive skin barriers, leaving my skin moisturized without tightness after cleansing. It's great that I can use it without any adverse reactions despite having sensitive skin. The reason this cleanser remains a go-to among the flood of cosmetics is that it gently and thoroughly cleanses while caring for the skin barrier. I hope it never gets discontinued so I can keep using it. As it's particularly effective as a daily cleanser in the current season, it's hard to find any downsides. Even though it doesn't produce rich lather, the cleansing effectiveness is good, so that's fine. This is a cleanser well-suited for dry and sensitive skin types. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSep 13, 2024
It's comfortable to use as it doesn't cause much irritation and has a mild scent Due to its gentle nature, it doesn't seem to remove impurities as effectively as I'd like - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAug 12, 2024
I love that the scent isn't irritating, and there's no tightness after cleansing. I have a cleansing bar that I use instead of cleansing gel, and I don't get blemishes with that. However, when I use this product, I tend to break out... I don't think the product ingredients themselves are causing the blemishes. After cleansing, the surface of my skin feels clean, but it seems like it doesn't cleanse deep enough, leading to a buildup of impurities and resulting in breakouts. I recommend using this as a second cleanse and avoiding using it as your only cleanser! This advice applies to those who only focus on basic hydration too! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJan 7, 2024
It's great for morning cleansing! It has a subtle soap scent and feels light enough for everyday use. While it feels relatively less drying than my previous cleansing foam, my extremely dry skin still experiences some deep dryness. As for cleansing effectiveness and lather, they're practically non-existent. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 25, 2023
As soon as you apply it, you can feel your skin becoming firm and supple. It removes makeup effectively and is incredibly gentle on the skin! After using this, I can't go back to anything else. It has a pleasant scent, and even those with acne-prone skin won't experience any tingling sensation! It doesn't dissolve blackheads very well... And it tends to make my face a bit dry. Here's a tip for all oil cleansers: dampen your nose with a bit of water, wait a moment, then wash it off. You'll notice some of those blackheads disappearing! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 19, 2023
I like that the scent isn't overpowering. It's great for evening cleansing. It seems more suitable for evening cleansing rather than morning use. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 5, 2023
I really want to find something positive to say, but the scent is so overwhelming that I can't bring myself to use it anymore. The smell is so strange! Even after washing my face and completing my skincare routine, the odor lingers on my nose. What kind of scent is this? It's truly unpleasant... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 4, 2023
It cleanses thoroughly and has a pleasant scent. It seems gentle, so it appears to cause minimal skin irritation. I can't think of any drawbacks to mention. I highly recommend it.
