Opaque, hair cream-like texture + fresh scent mixed with that classic salon smell. Not sure about curl retention, but it definitely gives that coated feel. It's fine to apply with a bit of water mixed in too.

You should only apply the curl cream to the top and sides of your hair, not on the hairline at your forehead. If you apply it there, it will become stiff and look unnatural, without that soft, fluffy feeling that the curl needs.

There was a slight waviness in my hair, so it became a bit fluffy, and the permed parts became more fluffy as the moisture dried. But the curl cream helped hold the curl shape all over, from the top to the bottom of my hair - I really liked it!! If you need to maintain the curl shape and don't want to bother with hairspray, curling iron, or blow dryer, just smoothing on some curl cream should do the trick!
