Usage: In the last photo, the right side is the side that was treated, and the left side is the untreated side. It makes the fluffy feeling more glossy. Texture: It has a thick texture, not completely dry like an oil essence, but just a tiny bit! It has a bit of a spray-like feeling to it! But that feeling is not sticky at all.
Consother products have better longevity, but I still wish it was a little bit better! haha
TipWash your hair, apply another essence, and dry it. When there's still a bit of moisture left, apply it at the end~

The C-curl perm had lost its shape ages ago, but after applying this product, I noticed a bit of revival! After washing my hair, I dried only my scalp, leaving the ends slightly damp. Then I applied the curl cream, twirled the ends with my fingers while blow-drying, and voila! The perm effect was somewhat revived. As for the scent, it's not off-putting - just a typical salon fragrance. Nothing to write home about, but not a deal-breaker either.
ConsIt's important to note that this is a curl cream, not an essence. I think I subconsciously expected it to have essence-like effects. While it did bring some life back to my curls, it didn't do much for my dry, brittle hair. But that's okay - it's not meant to be an essence after all!
TipBe careful not to use too much, or your hair might look clumpy and feel stiff! I'd recommend applying a small amount to damp hair, and then a bit more to dry hair if needed. That should do the trick!

The photo shows the product when I first received it. Firstly, the texture is a rich cream formula with a subtle, luxurious scent. I usually dislike artificial fragrances, but I really liked this one. To use, apply a suitable amount to slightly damp hair and style as desired before drying. I spread the cream on my hands and scrunched my hair while drying, which gave it a nice natural volume. Typically, curls tend to lose their shape and become frizzy over time, but this curl cream helps maintain a firm and full-bodied volume. If you're skilled with a hairdryer, you could probably create even more beautiful styles.
ConsFor those with sensitive scalps, I recommend applying it just lightly to the ends of your hair!
TipIt seems that if you dry your hair about halfway before using the cream, you'll end up with neat curls that have minimal frizz when fully dry.

The curls definitely last longer, but as for moisturizing... honestly, I'm not sure. My hair is extremely damaged from bleaching and coloring, so it's hard to tell, but I can say for certain that the staying power has improved!
ConsFor me, the scent was a bit too strong... As soon as I opened it, the smell hit me. I'm not a fan of neutral fragrances, so this one is really love-it-or-hate-it! Also, it seems a bit pricey for the amount you get...?
TipIt's probably written on the product, but I found it more effective on damp hair rather than dry hair!

Recently, even using a straightener didn't make my hair look nice, and static was a big issue. So I was thrilled to receive this curl cream! I've been using curl-specific creams before, but Chahong is such a well-known brand that I really wanted to try it. Since my scalp tends to be oily, I only applied it from the middle to the ends of my hair. The texture is like a moisturizing emulsion. When I mixed a bit with my usual hair oil, my hair looked much smoother, and the static was significantly reduced! I was worried about the scent due to mixed reviews, but I didn't find it unpleasant. It's somewhat grassy or floral, which some might not like, but personally, I found it to be a pretty standard fragrance.
ConsGiven its price relative to the amount, I probably won't purchase it often with my own money. However, it seems like a good product to try for those with frizzy hair or whose curls don't hold well after using a hair iron!
TipRather than using it alone, I found that mixing a small amount with your regular hair oil seems to make your hair look better and helps maintain curls more effectively.

After drying, it tends to get frizzy and puffy all over. Here are the advantages I've noticed with this product: 1. Overall calmer hair with more defined curls. - You might think 'curl cream' is just for creating perms or waves, but I found it more effective in tidying up the overall look and shape of my hair. Of course, it maintains perm curls too! My perm was a bit grown out, leaving my hair looking messy when dry. But this cream seemed to neatly set my hair with a slightly firm feel. Unlike hairsprays that make styling difficult, this product is easy to apply. Even with my less-than-skilled hands, a light touch was enough to neatly arrange my whole head of hair. 2. The fragrance! - Scent can be quite divisive. I once tried a curl cream that not only had a strong smell but made me feel nauseous. This cream, however, has a subtle yet somewhat strong scent that doesn't cause headaches. It's more like that fresh, clean feeling after a thorough shower. I personally love that 'deeply cleansed' scent in my hair. But keep in mind, the strong fragrance might not be everyone's cup of tea.
ConsAs with any curl cream, using too much can make your hair stiff all over. It's not really a downside, but for those with very damaged hair, I'd recommend applying an essence first, then gradually increasing the amount of curl cream to find the right balance for your hair.
TipDon't apply too much at first! - While it's easier to style curls with this than with sprays or other setting products, those of us who are less skilled should start with a small amount and gradually increase to find the right quantity. Otherwise, you might end up with hair like a thick broom! With the right amount, it's really easy to style your hair. Don't like the stiff feeling of damaged hair? - Try applying an essence to damp hair before using the curl cream. In my case, as my hair was quite damaged, using the curl cream alone seemed to strip away all the moisture from my hair.

It's the best curl cream I've used so far. Definitely considering repurchasing. Effectiveness: It revives perms beautifully, making wave patterns more visible. I was personally satisfied with its hold. While not as strong as hairspray, it avoids that stiff, overly-set look that sprays can sometimes create. This product strikes the perfect balance! I have slightly wavy hair, but my last perm was a year and a half ago. When air-dried, my hair had some frizzy curls but the perm waves were gone (I've also been trimming it regularly). With this product, I could recreate the look of a fresh perm. Another plus - when used before curling, it helps the curls last longer! Scent: It has a grass-like scent that might be divisive. Personally, it's not my favorite, but it's subtle and fades quickly after application. I got used to it over time - not a plus, but definitely not a dealbreaker. Application: I experimented to find the best time to apply. It doesn't work well on soaking wet hair. For those with existing curls or perms, applying when hair is 60-70% dry seemed optimal for me! I recall it still had some effect when applied to dry hair after using a curling iron. Instead of applying it like a moisturizer, I recommend coating your fingers with the cream (squeezing it onto your palm wastes product as it absorbs too much). Then, scrunch your hair as if you're squeezing the curls. I found this method most effective!
ConsThis product doesn't provide any moisturizing benefits! I have dry hair and needed to use a separate moisturizing product. To test the curl cream's effects alone, I tried using it without any other oils or products one day. The result? Frizz city! What's the point of curls if they're frizzy? If you have dry or damaged hair, make sure to use your regular moisturizing products alongside this curl cream! Also, if you don't have a perm or don't use a curling iron, you probably won't see much effect. It's not designed to create curls from straight hair, but rather to enhance and define existing curls or waves that have lost their bounce.
TipIf you have a perm or frequently use a curling iron, definitely give this a try! But if you have naturally straight hair and don't use heat styling, you might want to reconsider. Always use a moisturizing product alongside this curl cream. For those with perms, apply when your hair is about 60-70% dry. Applying to very wet hair might not give you the best results.

My bleached hair tends to get frizzy and lose its curl quickly, but when I apply this after using a curling iron, it adds shine and creates voluminous, springy curls. It also improves curl retention. Even though I'm sensitive to fragrances, I used this without any issues.
ConsWhile it's not sticky, the texture is a bit thick, so it doesn't glide on super smoothly at first. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints about this product.
TipAfter applying it all over your hair, try scrunching your curls in your hands as if you're setting them. This helps maintain bouncier, more defined curls.

If you're looking for detailed info on formulation or technical stuff, this isn't for you. This one's for my sisters who like it simple! (My current hair situation: Endless bleaching and dyeing cycles, barely surviving on hair masks and essences. Without a blow-dry, I'm a lion. Waves fall out faster than you can say 'hairspray' if I skip the setting cream) Bottom line for us heat styling addicts - purely personal opinion: If you're not fussy about scents, prefer a non-sticky essence-like texture, can handle a bit of stiffness, and want medium-high hold that screams 'I'm working!', then this is for you. However, If you live and die by fragrance and can't stand even a hint of stiffness in your locks, honey, this ain't it.
ConsSadly, it clumps and gets sticky when used as a base before heat styling. Such a shame, because the hold was actually pretty good otherwise!
TipMy personal tip: I found it clumpy and sticky when applied to damp hair before heat styling. So instead, I use a different heat protectant as a base, style my hair, then finish with this product! I'm not a fan of that stiff, clumpy feeling, so I use a cushion brush to comb it through. Result? Great curl retention without the stiffness. Perfect!

When applied to damp hair, it seemed to last almost all day. Scent: I was worried because many reviews said the smell wasn't great, but it seems to be a love-it-or-hate-it fragrance. I loved it, and even my mom, who usually dislikes strong scents, said this one was subtle and pleasant. Application: Absorbs well
ConsIt wasn't quite strong enough for a stiff, structured hairstyle.
TipThis product might work even better for longer hair in terms of hold!
