I decided to switch from René Furterer to this shampoo with better ingredients. I'm pleasantly surprised by its cleansing effectiveness and how well it lathers. The foam feels incredibly gentle when washing, which I really appreciate. After switching, my scalp felt less itchy and the product seemed gentle for a while. It's a mild and versatile shampoo that I'd recommend for those without particularly troublesome scalps.
ConsInitially, it felt gentle and my scalp was comfortable. However, after about two months, I started noticing occasional scalp issues. It seems a bit weak for proper scalp care, so additional management is necessary. It's not quite strong enough to be considered a functional product, yet it's quite pricey. Due to its good cleansing power, it tends to make my hair feel a bit stiff. This is definitely a shampoo that requires you to use a good conditioner alongside it.

Unlike regular surfactant or silicone-added shampoos that can cause blemishes or itching on my scalp, I didn't experience any such issues with this one. I've tried René Furterer's green and orange formulas, and Aveda's Invati, but among department store shampoos, Kiehl's is better. After shampooing in the morning, I can feel oil on my scalp by evening (after blow-drying, my roots have volume, but it deflates once I get to work - can't help it with my fine hair). If I shampoo at night and go to work without washing in the morning, I feel oily by lunchtime (roots are flat in the morning). It has a soft, sweet, and comforting coconut scent. Hair feels slightly stiff when wet, but it's fairly good once dry. I don't use conditioner or treatment separately (I only use treatment occasionally when my hair feels particularly stiff).
ConsThe main drawback is definitely the price. Carrying around a 500ml bottle from duty-free was also a bit inconvenient.

After using an expensive L'Oreal Serioxyl shampoo from the salon that cost me $80 and left my scalp irritated with hair loss on the sides, I switched to this. The pricey salon shampoo is now relegated to cleaning rags (expensive detergent, haha!). I was using supermarket shampoos when someone gave me a sample of this. It was so good - no itching at all - that I immediately purchased a full-size bottle. My scalp itching has significantly decreased, and the fragrance is lovely too. I'm planning to buy it again duty-free on my next trip!
ConsIf there's a downside, it's that your hair feels a bit stiff after washing, but that can be easily resolved with conditioner or a treatment.
TipConditioner is a must with this. I found buying both the shampoo and conditioner a bit pricey, so I'm using a different brand of conditioner for now.

Initially, I bought it just for that delightful aroma. But I've kept using it because it doesn't irritate my scalp and it's so easy to use on a daily basis.
ConsCompared to other regular shampoos, it doesn't lather up as well. And the price is a bit on the higher side...

After some deliberation, I decided to buy this product, and it was worth the switch! At first, the effects were subtle, but as I continued using it, I noticed my hair shedding less. It's winter, and normally my hair ends would be splitting, but since using this, there's been less breakage. It's definitely worth the price! I'm currently using a 1-liter bottle, and there's still plenty left - I think it'll last about 5-6 months (for shoulder to mid-length hair). It contains coconut oil, giving it a subtle, pleasant fragrance. Some people mentioned it was sticky, which made me hesitate, but I don't find it too heavy for my hair. The Hwahae Testers works hard on this one!
ConsOut of habit, I used to apply shampoo directly to my hair, but it didn't work well with this one. Maybe it's because it doesn't use harsh surfactants. Instead, if you lather it well in your hands, you can get a decent amount of foam even with a small quantity. Also, it might be a bit oily for those with greasy scalps.

ConsDue to the hefty price tag, it's best to stock up on several bottles at duty-free shops

Afterwards, my scalp became so itchy that I thought I had lice. However, after switching to this product, the itchy symptoms completely disappeared.
ConsCompared to regular shampoos, it definitely produces less lather, so I end up using quite a bit more of it.

But after using this shampoo, my hair has calmed down, gained shine, and the itchiness and dandruff have completely disappeared. It seems to be good for dry hair.
ConsThere is nothing negative to report yet. The only thing is that I'm a bit sad that I'll be using it up soon.
TipThe coconut oil ingredient seems to be giving my hair a glossy shine.

The coconut scent is subtle and not irritating. It did not get greasy even in the sweat-inducing summer until the evening. After rinsing, my scalp felt clean and refreshed. It seems suitable for my slightly acne-prone and sensitive combination skin type. The hairline and scalp acne have definitely disappeared, and my scalp feels very clean after shampooing. There is no stiffness in my hair. After using this, I've become quite addicted to it - the scent of other strong-smelling shampoos now bothers me. I'm on my third bottle now.
ConsThe price is 4-5 times that of regular shampoos. Recommended for individual use.
TipIt's best to shampoo the scalp first, squeezing the shampoo out bit by bit. The fine foam then sufficiently covers even long hair down to the ends. For conditioner or hair masks, make sure to avoid the scalp and only apply to the hair ends.
