I purchased this shampoo from Rene Furterer, hoping to switch to a better formulation. The cleansing power is better than expected, and it lathers up nicely. The lather feels very gentle and soft when rinsing. After switching, my scalp was not itchy and felt soothed for a while. This is a mild and unremarkable shampoo. I would recommend it if you don't have troublesome scalp issues.
ConsAt first, it was gentle and my scalp felt comfortable, but a couple months in, I started getting some occasional buildup on my scalp. It seems a bit too mild to properly care for my scalp. Additional treatment is necessary. While it's not very functional, the price is still on the higher side, and my hair feels a bit stiff, likely due to the effective cleansing. This is a shampoo that requires using a good conditioner.

When using regular surfactants or silicone-added shampoos, I often experience scalp pimples or itchiness, but I didn't have those issues when using this shampoo. I've tried Rene Furterer, Avedas, and other department store shampoos, but Kiehl's is the best among them. In the morning after shampooing, I can feel the oil coming back to my scalp by the evening. (Using a hair dryer after shampooing keeps the roots alive, but the oil returns by the time I get to the office. This is just something I have to deal with since my hair is so thin.) If I just go to work after the evening shampoo, I can feel the oiliness by around lunchtime. (The roots settle back down by the morning.) The scent is a soft, sweet, and comforting coconut. The hair feels slightly stiff when wet, but it's generally fine after drying. I don't use any separate conditioner or treatment. (I only selectively use a treatment when my hair feels particularly stiff.)
ConsThe only downside is the price. It was a hassle to buy the 500ml size at the duty-free shop to carry around.

I used the L'Oreal Serioxyl shampoo that I bought for 80,000 won at the hair salon, and my scalp was completely messed up, and I even started having hair loss on the side of my head. So I've just been using that shampoo as a floor cleaner (it's an expensive detergent, haha), and I was using a regular store-bought shampoo until someone happened to give me a sample, and I tried it and it's so great, no itchiness at all, so I immediately bought it. My scalp itchiness has decreased a lot and the scent is nice too~ I'll be buying it again at the duty-free shop when I travel next time~
ConsHmm, the downside would be that it feels a bit stiff after washing, but that can be resolved with a conditioner or treatment.
TipA conditioner is essential. I'm buying a different one because the price of both is burdensome for me~

I initially purchased it because of the coconut fragrance, and since it doesn't irritate my scalp and is easy to use, I've been continuing to use it.
ConsCompared to other regular shampoos, the lather doesn't form as well ㅜㅜ And the price is a bit on the higher side..?

After much consideration, I bought this product and it's been really worth it. At first, it wasn't very effective, but the more I used it, the less my hair fell out. Even in the winter when my hair ends usually split, they haven't split as much since using this. It's definitely worth the price! I bought the 1-liter size and I still have a long way to go - I think it'll last me 5-6 months (based on my hair length). The coconut oil in it gives it a nice, subtle fragrance. Some people said it was a bit thick, but it doesn't feel too heavy on my hair.
ConsI used to just apply shampoo directly to my hair, but that didn't work very well. Maybe it's because it doesn't have any surfactants. But if you lather it up in your hands first, even a small amount can create a decent amount of foam. And for oily scalps, it might be a bit too oily.

ConsDue to the relatively high price, you have to buy several bottles at the duty-free shop

After that, my scalp became severely itchy, and I thought I had lice. But after switching to this product, the itchy symptoms completely disappeared.
ConsCompared to regular shampoos, this one definitely produces less lather, so I end up using a bit more of it.

But after using this shampoo, my hair has calmed down, gained shine, and the itchiness and dandruff have completely disappeared. It seems to be good for dry hair.
ConsThere is nothing negative to report yet. The only thing is that I'm a bit sad that I'll be using it up soon.
TipThe coconut oil ingredient seems to be giving my hair a glossy shine.

The coconut scent is subtle and not irritating. It did not get greasy even in the sweat-inducing summer until the evening. After rinsing, my scalp felt clean and refreshed. It seems suitable for my slightly acne-prone and sensitive combination skin type. The hairline and scalp acne have definitely disappeared, and my scalp feels very clean after shampooing. There is no stiffness in my hair. After using this, I've become quite addicted to it - the scent of other strong-smelling shampoos now bothers me. I'm on my third bottle now.
ConsThe price is 4-5 times that of regular shampoos. Recommended for individual use.
TipIt's best to shampoo the scalp first, squeezing the shampoo out bit by bit. The fine foam then sufficiently covers even long hair down to the ends. For conditioner or hair masks, make sure to avoid the scalp and only apply to the hair ends.
