When I wash my hair at night, I wake up in the morning with this subtle, lingering scent that instantly lifts my mood. It's truly wonderful. The shampoo also lathers up nicely, making hair washing a breeze.
ConsI was using this shampoo thinking it was great, but one day I noticed something alarming when I scratched my scalp. There was an insane amount of dead skin cells! Hard, rolling flakes were everywhere, and the layer of dandruff was so thick that it kept coming off no matter how much I scratched. Soon after, my scalp condition exploded, and I had to take steroids to recover. Wondering if it was because of this shampoo, I tried using it only twice a week while using a different shampoo. Sure enough, the dead skin cells and dandruff would erupt only on the days I used this one. While I love the fragrance and rich lather, it's such a shame it doesn't work for me. I've had similar reactions to other natural surfactant shampoos, so I guess my skin just doesn't agree with them.

After using this, the cleansing effectiveness seems to be good as my scalp issues have improved. Because of that, my hair feels stronger too.
ConsThe price... (sigh) Still, since it's a shampoo I like after searching for a long time, I bought the 1L size shampoo and conditioner to make it my go-to product.
TipAfter wetting the scalp with lukewarm water, apply the shampoo and wait for 2 minutes while massaging the scalp. When I used cheap shampoos, I used to rinse quickly, but this one is expensive so I take my time. Doing it this way seems to enhance the scalp cleansing and hair strengthening effects. I also bought the amino acid conditioner to use together, and it's great as expected. These two will be my lifetime products. I recommend buying them when they're on sale.

The lather was poor, and there was an odd coconut-like scent that I didn't care for. My hair felt stiff too. However, after receiving it as a gift from a friend much later and learning the proper usage, I realized it's actually a great product. Even a small amount creates a rich lather and seems to cleanse well. Most importantly, it's given my hair more body - you could say it's brought my locks to life! The stiffness is easily managed with a tiny bit of conditioner. I occasionally use a treatment mask too. I've repurchased it and now alternate between this and Aro***.
ConsThe price makes me wince! Thankfully, I'm the only one using it, and I have another shampoo to alternate with. Still, ouch. Also, I wish it came with a pump dispenser - that would have been so much more convenient.

At first, it didn't lather well, so I used less than other products. But next time, when I thoroughly wet my hair, it lathered beautifully. The coconut scent wasn't overpowering, making for a pleasant shampooing experience. However, the fragrance didn't last long. While rinsing, my hair felt a bit stiff, but after drying, it actually felt hydrated. Running my fingers through my hair was smoother compared to my usual products, with less tangling. Plus, I didn't experience any blemishes on my face.
ConsThe main drawback is probably the price. At nearly $30 for 250ml, it's quite expensive.
TipMake sure to thoroughly wet your hair and scalp with warm water. It lathers well with daily use. On days when you skip washing, you might need to use a bit more product the next day.

Remarkably effective at taming fine, dry strands. A great product, if you can overlook the wicked price tag.
ConsThe price is way too steep. I wish the fragrance was a bit more pleasant.

That's why I repurchased it!
ConsIt's quite pricey. If you can get it at a duty-free shop, that might be a better option.

No matter how expensive the shampoo or how consistent my treatment home care routine was, my hair always got severely damaged below the shoulders. But since using Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo, the damage to my long hair ends has significantly reduced! They say when your hair is healthy, you get those angelic ringlets. Well, I never had those shiny curls before, but they've appeared since I started using this! It gives just the right amount of shine and is a solid, reliable product to use.
ConsThe lather isn't as rich as other products on the market! I usually use about ten pumps for my shoulder-length hair, always ending up rinsing the ends with the leftover foam. It's not a major issue, but the lack of abundant lather means more unnecessary hand movements, which might be causing more hair fall. I think the price is reasonable compared to its effectiveness though.
TipI recommend pumping a few times, lathering slightly in your hands, and then shampooing your entire scalp first. The remaining foam should be enough for the lower part of your hair! Excessive massaging doesn't seem to help much. Also, using a conditioner together makes your hair much shinier and better overall.

ConsI can't think of any downsides, to be honest. Though it is on the pricier side.
TipI have super sensitive skin, and usually when I use just any shampoo, I get red spots, swelling, and skin irritation. However, since I started using Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo, I haven't experienced any of these issues.

I bought the 1-liter size without even checking the price, and throughout its use, my scalp condition and hair texture remained excellent. The fragrance was subtle and natural, with a pleasant coconut scent that wasn't artificial.
ConsI purchased the 1-liter bottle without calculating the cost, but later realized it was quite expensive compared to other brands with similar desired features when I did a comparison.
TipAs you may already know, buying larger containers usually means a lower price per unit. Those with dry scalps should be cautious when purchasing SLS-free products. If you find it doesn't suit you after a few uses, either discard it, use it as a body wash, or mix it with baking soda for cleaning purposes.

ConsAt some point, using this alone made my hair start to get greasy, so I stopped buying it. Personally, I dislike the coconut scent, but when it was effective, I endured and used it. However, once my scalp became greasy, it became useless.
