It dissolves gently in water, and the foam is so soft that it feels comfortable when massaging onto the face. This powder wash seems to be really effective at removing dead skin cells! Usually, exfoliating cleansing foams can feel a bit rough, but using this powder wash allows for gentle yet effective exfoliation.
ConsI haven't found any drawbacks yet. The small dispenser opening is actually a big plus!
TipUsing a foam net seems to create much richer lather. If you let it soak in water sufficiently and then work up a lather, you'll get abundant foam.

However, as winter approached, I felt tightness and dryness after cleansing. I ordered this product wanting a gentle exfoliation and sebum control. Compared to other brands, this product definitely has finer particles, making it non-irritating when massaging. It creates a soft lather and is great for cleansing without irritation. After cleansing, my skin feels moisturized, and I can feel my nose becoming smoother. It's a product that delivers noticeable results.
ConsThere aren't any significant downsides, but those who prefer a squeaky-clean finish after washing might find it a bit lacking. However, it doesn't leave a slippery residue, so the feel after use isn't uncomfortable.
TipThis is great for those with combination dehydrated skin or dry skin types looking for gentle exfoliation during the dry winter months. Tip: When lathering in your hands, don't dissolve all the powder. It's more effective to gently massage areas that need extra exfoliation like the nose, forehead, and chin with some granules still intact. I'll likely repurchase this after I finish the current one.

While I still have some blemishes, I'm under dermatological treatment and I'm extremely sensitive to breakouts. I'm also very mindful of dryness after cleansing. What stands out about this product is how incredibly gentle it is. It's so mild, it's almost unbelievable! Throughout the week I used it, there was absolutely no irritation, and it did a fantastic job of calming my skin. I was a bit uneasy about only using water to cleanse away overnight impurities, but stronger cleansers felt too harsh... In that respect, this soybean wash is just perfect! Regarding the formula, since it's a dry type, I think it would be great for travel or use on airplanes.
ConsWhile I do follow up with skincare immediately after cleansing, this product does leave my skin feeling slightly - just a tiny bit - dry. Unlike viscous products that don't cause tightness after use, this one does feel a bit drying due to its unique formulation. Of course, this sensation is less noticeable if you apply skincare right away. I'm not sure if it would thoroughly remove heavy makeup or cleanse highly polluted skin... I think this product is best suited as a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser for morning use.
TipUse it for your morning cleanse. It's not too harsh and just right for the job.

Ingredients With 98% naturally-derived ingredients and a slightly acidic pH of 5.0-6.0, this product stands out. The high concentration of soy barrier complex gave me a sense of replenishing my skin's moisture barrier. I loved that it contains vegan probiotics and PHA, an exfoliating ingredient, allowing for gentle daily care without irritation! 2. Texture It's composed of powder and scrub particles that quickly dissolve in water, creating a smooth texture. 3. Usage Whether used alone for exfoliation or mixed with your cleanser, after washing your face, your skin feels incredibly soft.
ConsTo be honest, I was skeptical when I first received it, but after trying it out, I absolutely love it. There's nothing I would change about it.

Mildly acidic I always seek out mildly acidic products, and indeed, they're less irritating to the skin. 2. Dead skin cells It has some powder particles, so when you gently massage it with a bit of water, it feels like using a gentle scrub - not harsh at all. With papain enzyme and PHA, it effectively removes dead skin cells. 3. Vegan I was impressed that it's a vegan product, even down to the probiotics, avoiding common irritants. 4. Hydration After cleansing, my skin doesn't feel tight or rough, even if I don't immediately apply skincare products. 5. Complexion and texture My skin tone has become more even (less redness), and with regular use, I've noticed a significant reduction in fine lines around my eyes and other delicate areas. This was my first time using this type of cleanser, and it was intriguing and unique. It truly works like a scrub but isn't irritating, making it perfect for daily use.
Cons- Cleansing effectiveness I didn't have high expectations for its cleansing power. It might be a bit much to use it for removing makeup. This product is better suited as a second cleanser or for exfoliation.
TipAs Siooskin suggested, mixing it with a foam cleanser allows it to act as an exfoliant while also removing makeup effectively.

I have combination dehydrated skin with an oily T-zone and dry elsewhere. This soybean powder wash is incredibly gentle, yet it cleanses thoroughly. Being slightly acidic and made with natural ingredients, it's non-irritating. After cleansing, there's no feeling of tightness, which is so comfortable. When you dispense the powder wash into your palm, it comes out in just the right amount. Mix it with water, and it lathers up nicely. I've heard that for improving skin, powder washes are less harmful than cleansing foams. With the hot summer weather and mask-wearing, I don't wear heavy makeup - just sunscreen with some eye makeup and lipstick on top. Even so, this powder wash removes everything cleanly!
ConsI wish the volume was larger! Other than that, I have no complaints. One downside about Hwahae - you can only upload two photos.
TipFor heavier makeup, cleansing twice with the powder works perfectly. Also, using warm water helps create a richer lather.

Gentle formula Both my boyfriend and I have sensitive skin, and we found this product works well for us! 2. A little goes a long way I thought I'd use it up quickly based on the size, but you only need a small amount for a good lather! 3. Fragrance-free This might be hit or miss for some, but as someone with sensitive skin, I prefer unscented products 4. Cleansing effectiveness This was my first time trying a powder cleanser, and I was surprised by how well it cleaned! It even removes makeup effectively! For light makeup days, you could probably get away with just this powder wash and toner!
ConsThe lack of fragrance might be divisive for some users. The water control is both a pro and a con!
TipTry using it with slightly less water for a gentle scrub-like effect!

Skin Type: Combination, deep dryness, super sensitive skin Cleansing Effectiveness: Good Convenience: Easy to use, seems great for travel Irritation: None 1. As the weather got warmer and blemishes started appearing, I needed something to thoroughly cleanse my pores. This product's cleansing power left my skin feeling completely fresh with no residue. 2. Usually, effective cleansers can be drying, but there was no tightness after washing. This was perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. 3. I thought the powder type wouldn't lather well, but surprisingly it did. The powder form also exfoliates, making it ideal for busy modern life. 4. I was worried because of my sensitive skin, but after a week of use, there were no breakouts, itching, or redness. It was very gentle, likely due to its good ingredients.
Cons1. It's difficult to gauge how much product is left. 2. The price is a bit steep for the amount (it's hard for me to justify buying it with my own money...)
TipFor the best results, wet your face thoroughly, then massage the powder in a circular motion. This will exfoliate and cleanse your skin effectively!

It's not a product that dramatically removes dead skin cells in one use, but rather allows for gentle, consistent exfoliation with daily use. 🍀Powder Formula Very fine particles that dissolve well in water without irritation. It lathers easily with just damp hands or a drop or two of water. Using a bubble maker creates incredibly soft, long-lasting foam that you can feel as you massage your skin. With a bubble maker, you can't feel any granules. When lathering by hand, some particles may remain depending on the amount of water and how much you rub, but the fine texture isn't irritating. Unlike S*pu* Black*tang or I*nis*ree S**ds, which have large, hard particles that irritated my skin and caused redness. 🍀Gentle Acidity A low pH cleanser that doesn't leave skin feeling tight or dry after washing. Skin feels hydrated
ConsNothing particularly bad. 💢Dramatic Effects Not suitable for those expecting dramatic exfoliation results from a single use. This is a type that provides gentle, consistent care with regular use.
TipBubble maker: Creates soft foam that doesn't deflate when massaging the face Hands: You can control the powder particles depending on how much you rub. Less rubbing leaves more granules for a scrub effect, More rubbing creates a foam for gentle cleansing.

I was also concerned about irritation since it's supposed to exfoliate, but it wasn't harsh at all. Exfoliation: After using it for a week, I feel it's really effective for dead skin cell removal! It greatly helped improve forehead bumps, blackheads, and whiteheads on my chin and nose. Texture: I thought the foam might be thin since you have to rub the powder yourself, but surprisingly, just mixing a pea-sized amount with slightly damp hands creates a rich lather. Unlike typical foam cleansers that leave my skin feeling tight, this product didn't cause any dryness after washing! Cleansing Power: While it cleanses well, I still recommend using it as a second cleanser after removing point makeup, foundation, or cushion with an initial cleanse. Value: At first, I didn't think it was that cost-effective, but since it's a powder, it lasts a really long time, making it quite economical! Formula: Depending on how much water you mix in, you can create either a rich or light foam. When you're not wearing makeup or your skin feels super sensitive, using a lighter foam might be best! The fact that you mix the powder yourself makes it more hygienic, and I loved being able to control the foam consistency!
ConsIt's good for exfoliation. While it's not a dramatically transformative foam cleanser, it seems suitable for those with sensitive skin!
TipMake sure to dissolve the powder well to create foam. When your skin feels super sensitive, try mixing it with toner or serum for an even gentler cleanse! For a richer lather, mix it with serum!
