There's no white cast and it's easy to apply even if you're in a rush. It's moisturizing, which makes it great as a base for other products.
ConsI usually don't wear makeup, so I tend to only use sunscreen. However, this one doesn't provide any coverage at all (I know it's not meant to), which actually creates situations where I need to apply something over it. Among the toner, emulsion, and sunscreen, I'm not sure which is the culprit, but when I apply them, I experience a stinging and itchy sensation.

It caused no tingling or irritation whatsoever. The application is truly excellent, and it provides more hydration compared to other sunscreens. The scent is slightly lemony and refreshing.
ConsAfter application, it can make your skin look a bit oily due to its rich texture. It doesn't provide any coverage.
TipI recommend this to anyone looking for a gentle, non-irritating product.

At first, it seems to sit on the skin, but then it sinks in like a hydrating essence, feeling like your natural skin but more moisturized. Not sticky, which is great Ingredients: Already certified by Hwahae to be free of 20 harmful ingredients Also, it's a vegan cosmetic, which I love even more It's a mineral sunscreen, but there's no pilling and it's water-based
Cons* Not suitable if you want coverage This sunscreen itself isn't meant for coverage I recommend looking for Dalba's tone-up sunscreen or other products instead However, this is expected as it's suitable for the whole family * Longevity: Feels slightly oily after lunchtime Blotting paper + reapplication recommended
TipI apply it generously before makeup every day, then about 20 minutes later I apply a second, thicker layer Even with combination dry skin and applying sunscreen twice, it's a mineral sunscreen that feels less oily ^^

I'm a sunscreen nomad too! Just to note, I didn't apply makeup after using this sunscreen. So far, I haven't experienced any blemishes. Scent: While fragrance preferences vary, this has a slightly refreshing citrus scent. It doesn't smell like typical cosmetics, but more like orange peel, which I actually enjoy! Brightening effect: After trying several sunscreens, I've encountered some that don't brighten at all and leave a greasy, dark appearance. The Dalba product doesn't dramatically whiten, but it does even the skin tone slightly - perfect for prepping before makeup application. Texture: The consistency is slightly thicker than water-like formulas, which prevents it from dripping or running. It's great for applying after your skincare routine - just make sure to pat it in well! Hydration: Despite its thicker texture, it spreads and absorbs well, leaving a nice glow. It has enough moisture that even with my dry skin, I could use it comfortably like an emulsion, feeling hydrated.
ConsPrice/Quantity: Since sunscreen is an essential part of my makeup base routine, the price-to-quantity ratio is important. Unfortunately, the price is quite high, which is probably the biggest drawback. Coverage: This may vary depending on skin type, but while I noticed a slight evening of skin tone, there was almost no coverage. If you have blemishes, don't expect this to cover them up.
TipIt has a rich texture, so I wouldn't recommend it for those with oily skin. Also, it doesn't seem to wash off completely with just one cleanse, so make sure to double cleanse!

My skin type is currently sensitive, combination dehydrated, and prone to blemishes! I was initially worried about potential white cast when applying this product, as it claims to brighten skin tone immediately. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it absorbs smoothly, resulting in a natural brightening effect without making my face look unnaturally pale or ghostly. As you can see in the attached photo, the side where I applied the product has a plump, dewy glow without significant white cast. Being a mild formula, it felt hydrating upon application without any heaviness. The scent is subtle, and the texture is similar to regular sunscreens - not ultra-lightweight, but it absorbs nicely when massaged in. Despite its high moisture content, it didn't cause any pilling or separation when applying makeup. In fact, it seemed to create a smooth base, making my makeup adhere better. I was fortunate to be selected as a tester for this product. Previously, I couldn't switch from Dr.G Brightening Up Sun because other sunscreens would clog my pores and cause stubborn blemishes. They also didn't provide the right balance of mattifying effect and hydration. I'm relieved that this product didn't cause any irritation. Even after wearing it under a mask, I didn't develop any maskne! While the price-to-volume ratio might not be exceptional, considering the quality ingredients and its vegan formulation, I don't find it overpriced. My skin tends to get extremely dry in winter, even with multiple moisturizing products. My usual sunscreen provides excellent tone-up and mattifying effects without causing blemishes, which is why I've used it year-round. This new product also doesn't cause blemishes, so I think it'll be perfect for protecting and hydrating my skin during fall and winter. I'm definitely considering repurchasing after I finish this bottle!
ConsIf I had to point out a drawback, it would be the price-to-volume ratio that others have mentioned. However, since it's rare for me to find a product that doesn't cause blemishes, I'm willing to accept this. Another minor issue is that while this product alone doesn't provide enough coverage to hide my existing blemish marks, making it difficult to go out wearing just this product.
TipUsually, I have to layer multiple hydrating products before applying sunscreen to combat my skin's lack of moisture. However, this product is so hydrating that I can use it after just a light layer of skincare without feeling dry. If you typically use very rich, hydrating creams due to dry or dehydrated skin, I'd suggest applying a thin layer of your usual moisturizer before using this sunscreen to minimize potential pilling or separation when applying makeup.

A hydrating base sunscreen that applies smoothly without pilling, even with generous application, and works well under makeup. Performance: Good Absorption: Excellent Coverage: Low Brightening: Medium Skin irritation: Minimal Scent: Citrus - reminiscent of lemon or orange peel Repurchase intention: Yes My skin type: Combination-dry / Not particularly sensitive to ingredients, but prone to irritation from friction or physical contact / No blemishes, but some redness My usual sunscreen: Dr. Alga Premium Sunscreen Texture/Feel: Lightweight. Provides an excellent base for makeup. It has a very hydrating and moisturizing formula with good absorption. As the texture suggests, the finish is both firm and dewy. When applied alone, it's slightly tacky, causing hair to stick a bit. This moisturizing finish pairs perfectly with trendy semi-matte cushions. It creates an ideal, slightly tacky base that helps makeup adhere well, rather than just being sticky. It's great for applying base makeup on top and doesn't pill or separate even with liberal application. I'd say this sunscreen is better suited as a makeup base rather than for a bare-faced look. Coverage/Brightening: Gives about a half-tone brightening effect. Almost no coverage. These days, many people skip base makeup when wearing masks. I'm the same, so I usually prefer sunscreens with some tone-up/correcting effects. This product offers almost no coverage. Due to its moisturizing formula, it spreads well but doesn't hide things like redness. While it's great that there's no white cast, the brightening effect isn't as strong as some other sunscreens. However, thanks to its good absorption and hydrating properties, it seems to give a slightly blurred effect, making the overall complexion look about half a tone brighter and more even. Those looking for a sunscreen that provides full tone-up/correction on its own might not be satisfied. I'd recommend this to those who prefer a lighter formula without those features, or to those who want a hydrating, firming sunscreen as a pre-makeup base.
ConsAs mentioned earlier, the lack of coverage might be a downside for some. Also, it has a strong citrus scent. While I found it very pleasant, I know many people have allergies or aversions to such fragrances. So it's worth considering the scent aspect as well.
