I finally got my hands on the Dalba Waterful Mild Suncream and have been using it for a few days now. The texture is just right - not too thin, with a slight viscosity. When I rolled it on, it absorbed smoothly. The product itself seems packed with hydration, providing a moisturizing effect as you apply it. Interestingly, it has a subtle scent reminiscent of Pocari Sweat or other sports drinks. It's quite surprising to find this kind of fragrance in a cosmetic product!
ConsWhile it does provide a boost of hydration, I found the finish to be slightly sticky. As someone who prefers a powdery or completely absorbed feel, this was a bit uncomfortable for me. However, I noticed that it does absorb nicely given some time.
TipI'd recommend applying this suncream well before your makeup routine. Give it ample time to absorb into your skin for the best results.

Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it leaves almost no white cast and keeps your skin moisturized all day, making it perfect for daily use.
ConsThere's a subtle fragrance, but those sensitive to scents might have mixed feelings about it.

I've tried many mineral sunscreens, but this one is by far the most hydrating and absorbs well. There's absolutely no stiffness, and it feels just like a chemical sunscreen. It provides great protection too. Being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't sting the eyes and causes zero irritation to the skin. While it does have some white cast due to being mineral-based, it's much less noticeable compared to other mineral sunscreens. It's slightly rich, which actually works well under makeup.
ConsMy forehead gets really shiny with this. I didn't notice it during winter and early spring when my skin was dry, but now that it's getting warmer in May, my forehead looks extremely oily and shiny.
TipIf you're looking for a mineral sunscreen to use in winter, this would be a great choice.

It spreads smoothly without any stiffness. However, it doesn't leave a fresh finish - your face and hands feel a bit sticky after application. White cast: Compared to the Essence Sun Cream, there's a very slight white cast, but because it applies so well, it doesn't leave that stark white appearance some sunscreens do. It absorbs quickly and doesn't have a brightening effect. Shine: As someone with dry skin, I always look for moisturizing sunscreens. This product combines hydration and richness, so it gets slightly shiny over time! It's great for dry skin, but those with oily or combination dehydrated skin might need to manage the richness and shine.
ConsEye irritation: I have sensitive eyes and was worried because all Dalba products have caused eye irritation for me. Unfortunately, this mineral sunscreen also irritated my eyes. If you have sensitive eyes, please keep in mind that you might experience some irritation. Fragrance: I prefer fragrance-free products, but this one has a citrusy scent more typical of chemical sunscreens than mineral ones! It's not an overpowering fragrance that makes it unusable, but you can definitely notice its unique tangy-sweet scent.
Tip+ Applies well - Tends to get shiny (on the richer side) - Citrus fragrance - Causes eye irritation

I really like it!
ConsUnfortunately, it causes my skin to break out. I tried it again just to be sure, but sadly, it had the same effect.

It glides on smoothly without any stickiness, providing instant hydration. It feels like applying a moisturizer! It doesn't cause pilling before makeup and allows for seamless application. Despite my sensitive skin, I experienced no blemishes; instead, my skin felt soothed. What's more, there's absolutely zero white cast. This is a major selling point! After application, you get a subtle glow that makes your skin look beautiful. It lacks the typical heaviness of mineral sunscreens, and being a hybrid of mineral and chemical filters, it seems gentler on the skin.
ConsIf I had to nitpick, the price per volume is slightly high. However, the satisfaction level is so high that I'm 100% committed to repurchasing. It's become such a beloved item that I now keep one in my bag and another at home.
TipThe feeling of your skin improving every time you apply sunscreen - only those who've experienced it will understand. Highly recommended for combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin!

Upon application, you'll feel a slight cooling effect as it spreads smoothly and absorbs naturally into the skin without any white cast. It's particularly perfect for my dry skin as a morning moisturizer and sunscreen combo! It doesn't cause pilling and creates an excellent base for makeup, with just the right amount of richness for a beautiful glowing complexion. With its high SPF50+ / PA++++ protection, I strongly recommend it for spring and summer use!
ConsThe downside is that its watery and hydrating formula might feel a bit too rich for those with oily skin. When reapplying, it can pill slightly, so it's best to layer it gently in small amounts. While the fragrance is subtle, it might not suit those with sensitive noses. In dry winters, it may not be enough on its own, so you'll need to supplement with additional hydrating products. As it's more focused on hydration than oil control, it might not provide enough lasting power for extended periods of activity.
TipI apply this sunscreen generously as the final step in my morning skincare routine, just like a moisturizer. This prevents any pilling with my base makeup and keeps my skin hydrated all day! For areas prone to oiliness like the sides of the nose or forehead, I apply thin layers to control excess shine. When touching up, I gently blot with a tissue before reapplying a small amount of sunscreen. It's handy to carry a travel-sized portion for on-the-go use!

Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it feels hydrating and not at all thick or heavy. I love that it's not stiff or dry. However, the texture is so soft that I sometimes end up applying too much. This can result in a slight white cast (about half a shade brighter), giving a natural brightening effect. It becomes even more natural-looking over time. I'm really enjoying this product as it doesn't irritate my eyes. Though it might feel a bit heavy for summer use.
ConsHighly recommended for winter! It can feel a bit heavy in summer... slightly rich texture. Also, as time passes, it tends to get a bit oily. My forehead ends up looking quite shiny!
TipApplying it in thin layers, about two coats, gives a natural, hydrated, and smooth finish.

I've never experienced any blemishes when applying it, and it provides a nice brightening effect with a smooth application. It's a pretty good sunscreen overall. As someone with dry skin, I find it quite rich, which gives a glowy finish. (This doesn't suit my face shape, so) I used powder on my butterfly zone, T-zone, and philtrum. It also works well under cushion foundation. I mainly used this product in fall, winter, and early spring. I think any issues with the skin looking cakey are more due to my makeup application skills rather than the product itself. Of course, don't expect it to be as perfect as organic sunscreens. Also, while it feels moisturizing at first, it's inevitable that it becomes a bit drying after a while due to the nature of mineral sunscreens. It starts to feel dry around 4-5 hours after morning application. I would repurchase this.
ConsThe rich texture might be difficult for those with oily skin to use. Even I find it too glowy, so I don't use it in summer.
TipSince it's quite rich, it's best to let it absorb well before applying makeup. I usually apply it before drying my hair and then put on cushion foundation afterwards.

ConsI can't tell the difference between this and a basic essence sunscreen. It feels like only the packaging is different
