Despite being called a 'Deep Clean Soothing Foaming' cleanser, it neither deep cleans (poor cleansing effectiveness) nor soothes. It does smooth the skin, though. Surprisingly, even with my oily skin, it left me feeling dry. Oddly enough, after washing and patting dry, my skin feels really dehydrated (which didn't happen with other foams). I had high hopes for this cleansing foam, thinking it would be as good as Neutrogena, but it falls short of expectations.

You only need a tiny amount to work up a rich lather. Perfect for lazy people like me who hate making foam. After rinsing, my skin feels as smooth as if I'd used a bar soap. The packaging design is quite sophisticated too.

✨ Hydration after cleansing
The best part was how moisturized my skin felt after washing! There was no tightness, and it stayed so hydrated that I didn't even need to apply any skincare while drying my hair.

I have combination-oily skin prone to small blemishes. Recently, whether due to the weather or air pollution, I've been getting one or two larger blemishes that have been quite bothersome.

The Neutrogena Cica Cleanser I tried produces a wonderfully rich and dense foam, making it easy to cleanse thoroughly, even in tricky areas like the sides of the nose.

Given how thick and creamy the foam was, I worried it might leave my skin feeling too squeaky clean. However, it didn't at all, and after rinsing, I didn't experience any deep dryness.

True to its gentle claims, it was kind to my sensitive skin without any irritation. Being a low pH product, I think even those with super sensitive skin like me can use it without worry.

The moisturizing finish might disappoint those looking for a matte feel. Also, it's not sufficient as a first cleanse for makeup removal - I'd recommend using a cleansing oil or cream to remove makeup first, then following up with this as your second cleanse.
