Works well for sensitive skin. Absorbs well and provides great hydration. Unless you have really sensitive skin, it's not a must-have. It's not a specialized treatment cream. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSensitive SkinFeb 19, 2025
This is a staple in my skincare routine. It absorbs well and has good application. I recommend it for all skin types. You can use it year-round! Based on my experience, it didn't cause any blemishes. I like to apply an extra layer around my eyes and nasolabial folds before bed. The product also comes in a small size, which is great for touch-ups on the go. I even bought the smaller version separately to take on trips. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 13, 2024
It absorbs well, and although it feels a bit heavy at first, once it sinks in, it's not sticky at all, which I really like. However, if you have dry skin, you might find it's not quite moisturizing enough. It feels like a thin film covering your skin. Still, since it's a cica product, I'm using it with the expectation that it will have a soothing effect. Cica products seem to often come in unusually thick containers, which can be a bit inconvenient to use. But I suppose there must be a reason for it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinJun 28, 2023
I think I'm on my third tube already! I was worried that since it's called a 'cica balm', it might be greasy or too heavy to apply on my face in summer. But it actually applies lightly and absorbs well, so I'd recommend it even for those with oily skin. I love how it quickly soothes areas where blemishes have popped up! There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, though I wish it went on sale more often! - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 7, 2023
It's slightly rich in texture but not sticky, so it absorbs quickly into the skin. I didn't see much effect on soothing my skin. Also, it feels a bit greasy due to its rich consistency. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinFeb 28, 2023
I absolutely love the Soon Jung line and use many of their products! The one that's been most effective for me is the Soon Jung Cica Balm. I either apply it generously to areas that need soothing before bed, or use it like an emulsion all over my face. It works wonders either way! Scent: It's fragrance-free! Effectiveness: If you consistently apply a generous amount of cream on areas with blemishes or where you've squeezed a pimple, you'll see them calm down in just a few days! It absorbs really well and isn't irritating at all. Since it's such a gentle product, the calming effects might vary from person to person. When I slather it all over my face before bed, my skin just feels inexplicably better the next morning... - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 24, 2023
It's a translucent gel cream formula that feels wonderfully hydrating! It's like a burst of moisture for your skin! There's no scent at all, and it absorbs quickly. It's great for oily skin types, but might not be quite enough for those with dry skin. The price is affordable, the ingredients are good - there's really nothing to complain about. If you have oily skin, you absolutely must try niacinamide! It works hard to reduce excess oil production. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinFeb 10, 2023
It absorbs well and seems to have decent absorption power. I used it for spot treatment for a few days, but didn't see any noticeable results. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 25, 2023
As someone with sensitive, blemish-prone skin, I really appreciated how soothing this felt when applied. It's great for calming care. The texture absorbs well, gliding on smoothly and sinking into the skin effortlessly. For those of us with sensitive, blemish-prone skin, nothing is more urgent than finding calming products, so I honestly can't think of any downsides yet! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 15, 2023
Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin in the T-zone, dry elsewhere. Overall dryness worsens in winter. Experiencing fluctuating contact dermatitis that improves then worsens again. Texture: A slightly heavier balm texture that spreads smoothly and absorbs quickly when applied. When used on dry areas, it helps relieve skin tightness. It's not overly rich, so it might be insufficient for extremely dry skin. Scent: Fragrance-free Effectiveness: To be honest, I didn't notice significant effects. It's a very standard product that helps somewhat with dryness. I didn't see any changes in blemish soothing, redness reduction, or skin texture improvement. Overall: Just an average product - neither exceptionally good nor bad. It feels too rich for combination dehydrated skin, yet somewhat insufficient for dry skin. Its usability is limited even during fall and winter. I saw on YouTube that it works well as an eye cream, so I've been using it as a substitute for my regular eye cream!
