It's amazing for calming blemishes after popping them. It quickly reduces inflammation and helps prevent scarring. The quantity is too small, and the tube packaging makes it a bit inconvenient to use. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinSensitive SkinNov 25, 2022
Etude House is still producing great products. This seems like an excellent choice for those with dry skin. I can't find any downsides... The tube packaging makes it convenient to use as well. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 5, 2022
I've been using this product for over 7 months after struggling with combination dehydrated skin, a damaged skin barrier, and redness with itching. My skin wasn't absorbing any products well, so I bought this one hoping it would help strengthen my skin barrier. I managed to get the 50ml size during a sale on Etude's website. It contains panthenside, which is said to soothe and protect the skin. When I used it alone, it felt like it wasn't absorbing well, but when I applied it after the Isoi Moisture Doctor Ampoule, it seemed to absorb better. I applied it generously twice a day, morning and night. During winter and spring, even though it's a balm type, it spread thinly and well without pilling or feeling slippery. My skin was in such bad shape that I'm not sure if it caused any blemishes, but it seemed gentle. Now that it's summer, I only apply a small amount in the evening when I need soothing. In summer, being a balm type, it does feel a bit heavy, and if I apply too much, I might get a few pimples the next day with a slightly oily face. The small opening and balm texture make it easy to control the amount used. It's fragrance-free, so it's suitable for everyone regardless of scent preferences. While there are no harmful ingredients, it does contain stearic acid which can clog pores for oily skin types, so consider this when purchasing. Even for me, it's fine in dry seasons, but in hot weather, it can cause pimples, so I use it sparingly. The tube packaging is clean to use, but the material feels like aluminum - it's stiff, and when you try to squeeze the product towards the opening, some of it tends to bounce back up instead of coming out smoothly. Even for very oily skin, it seems good to use generously before a rubber mask occasionally. It doesn't cause pimples and can be used with peace of mind. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 3, 2022
This cream has the perfect consistency - thick enough yet easy to spread. It's truly amazing for sensitive skin like mine that's also thin and prone to wrinkles. As someone with super sensitive skin, I get really nervous about trying new products, but this felt comfortable right away. I was upset about blemishes on my nose and chin from wearing masks, but this cream helped calm my skin and prevent new breakouts. I'd recommend it for anyone who needs hydration but also deals with acne. The packaging was a bit inconvenient. I wish the tube end was firmer and easier to squeeze, like the Etude House Soon Jung Hydro Cream. I've used 3 tubes, and with 2 of them, the tip where the product comes out split, causing it to leak from the sides when squeezed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 24, 2022
It's gentle and easy to use. The product has a white, ointment-like texture. Whether it's due to the cica ingredients or its 'balm' nature, it applies with a thick, slightly occlusive feel that might seem a bit heavy at first. However, once it's fully absorbed, that sensation disappears. For someone like me with very dry and sensitive skin, a product that doesn't cause any adverse reactions is already a win. Since it's a cica product, I plan to use it when my skin suddenly becomes sensitive. Personally, I prefer tube packaging over jars, and I appreciate how this minimizes air exposure and contact with hands. In that regard, this Etude House product is very convenient... I'll discuss more about the packaging later. The packaging... as many have pointed out, is a bit odd. It's hard to describe - a thick plastic? Or maybe not plastic? When you squeeze it, it keeps that shape. It's the kind of packaging that makes you wonder if you'll be able to use up all the product. While it's described as a balm type, it's not a moisture powerhouse. For someone with very dry skin like me, I definitely need to apply a separate moisturizer after this product. Due to its slightly heavy texture, I probably won't reach for it much during the hot summer months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 9, 2021
It feels like applying a slightly runny ointment. When you sense blemishes coming on, apply a thick layer and it quickly soothes them. It's become my go-to for work days. I just hope the 5 version isn't discontinued now that the 10 has been released as a new product. The tube shape makes it a bit tricky to use up every last bit, but its soothing effect outweighs this minor inconvenience. At first, I used a small amount for a few days. Once I realized it suited my skin, I started using it occasionally before bed like an overnight mask. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinNov 30, 2020
It's in a tube and gentle on the skin. Pretty useful for my combination dehydrated skin with blemishes. When I'm too lazy to take cream out of the fridge, I just keep this on my desk for a quick application. It doesn't cause any blemishes, and while the hydration isn't exceptional, it's decent enough. There's nothing bad to say. The tube packaging is very convenient. Great product! I hope Etude has more sales events. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinNov 4, 2020
Wow, I absolutely love this! I've gone through 3 tubes and I'm almost done with my 4th one now! It's a staple I always stock up on when I visit Etude House. Simply the best... When I apply this before bed, it calms down angry blemishes! If you use it for just five nights, even tiny pimples disappear completely!!! The tube packaging is a bit frustrating... If you're not careful, it can tear, and the opening tends to widen. That's really the only downside! It's great for hydration too. If you apply it before makeup and let it absorb, it works wonders! Results may vary, but for me, my skin drinks it up and I love it! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinOct 19, 2020
Great for students - affordable, lightweight, and not drying at all! I'm already on my second tube. The only potential downside is that the tube might tear after prolonged use, but honestly, I didn't find any real drawbacks! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 14, 2020
Purchased with my own money - this is my second time buying! Scent: It's fragrance-free, so there's no unpleasant smell when applying. Texture: It has a rich, creamy consistency - almost like an ointment. Not runny at all, making it easy to apply. The tube packaging is also great for hygiene. Blemishes: I have cystic acne, whiteheads, and acne scars. This cream helps reduce my cystic acne gradually and significantly fades acne scars. It seems to aid in skin regeneration. Plus, my skin doesn't break out from this product, which often happens with others that don't suit me. Hydration: Due to its rich texture, it takes a bit longer to absorb compared to thinner formulas, but it feels deeply moisturizing. I never feel dry after using it! Price: Although it's 40ml, it seems to run out quickly. While it might not be the most cost-effective option, the results are worth it. It's especially great when you can catch it on sale at Hwahae! Volume: While the tube packaging is hygienic, it feels a bit disappointing when you've used it all up. Like others have mentioned, it seems like about a third of the tube is filled with air.
