It was gentle and moisturizing. I used it with peace of mind because the ingredients were good too. As I have combination oily skin, it felt a bit heavy when the temperature rose. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 13, 2022
It hydrates well and is relatively affordable, so I bought it right away. No wonder it's so popular! While there's nothing particularly bad, it feels a bit heavy. Not that it's literally heavy, but it's more like my skin feels slightly suffocated. I can't say I don't notice that sensation. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 28, 2022
My skin type is combination dehydrated, leaning towards dry. It's super sensitive skin that reacts easily if the oil and moisture balance is even slightly off, and I'm very particular about choosing skincare products due to many incompatible ingredients. I tried a sample first and noticed it calmed the small blemishes on my forehead, so I bought the full-size product. However, it's a case of 'all or nothing' for me! When first applied, it feels really heavy, as if someone placed a mask on your face. It feels suffocating, but absorbs after 15-20 minutes. I think my cheeks broke out because of the pore-clogging ingredients. It's disappointing... - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinAug 30, 2022
Gentle and perfect for daily use as the final hydrating layer in my skincare routine. It forms a nice moisture barrier. Those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy and potentially feel like it's clogging their pores. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 24, 2022
It's gentle and easy to use. The product has a white, ointment-like texture. Whether it's due to the cica ingredients or its 'balm' nature, it applies with a thick, slightly occlusive feel that might seem a bit heavy at first. However, once it's fully absorbed, that sensation disappears. For someone like me with very dry and sensitive skin, a product that doesn't cause any adverse reactions is already a win. Since it's a cica product, I plan to use it when my skin suddenly becomes sensitive. Personally, I prefer tube packaging over jars, and I appreciate how this minimizes air exposure and contact with hands. In that regard, this Etude House product is very convenient... I'll discuss more about the packaging later. The packaging... as many have pointed out, is a bit odd. It's hard to describe - a thick plastic? Or maybe not plastic? When you squeeze it, it keeps that shape. It's the kind of packaging that makes you wonder if you'll be able to use up all the product. While it's described as a balm type, it's not a moisture powerhouse. For someone with very dry skin like me, I definitely need to apply a separate moisturizer after this product. Due to its slightly heavy texture, I probably won't reach for it much during the hot summer months. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 20, 2022
I loved both the hydration and rich feel. The gentle ingredients really won me over. With continued use, I noticed some blemishes appearing. During summer, my skin felt a bit suffocated. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 22, 2021
It's great for sensitive skin, calming without causing any flare-ups! It's quite rich, so applying it all over the face can feel a bit heavy If you apply a thick layer on areas that need soothing, you'll wake up to calmer skin - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 30, 2021
I'm thrilled to see my skin visibly improving! It feels a bit too rich and heavy for summer use - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMar 25, 2021
When I applied a thick layer on blemish-prone areas before bed, I noticed some calming effects the next morning. Despite constant skin issues due to mask-wearing, I found that applying it generously at night resulted in visibly soothed skin by the following day. It feels a bit dry when used alone. After applying it all over my face, there's a somewhat stifling or heavy sensation, which is probably due to its ointment-like texture. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJan 24, 2021
When I apply moisturizing products, my skin turns yellow. When I use hydration-focused ones, my skin feels dry. When I use something in between, my skin gets bumpy. After searching for the right product, I've settled on this one and have been using it for several bottles now. If you have dry skin, this might not be enough. While results may vary, for me, even after multiple applications, it doesn't completely resolve my dryness. Also, when I used it in summer, I felt a bit suffocated even with just one application. I layer it on areas where I want to settle the product, spreading it thinly bit by bit.
