It absorbs well and disappears quickly. The hydration is great too! Highly recommended. If applied near the mouth, it can flow into your lips. Too much product comes out at once. Remember to shake well before use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinApr 9, 2023
It's a completely water-based formula with calamine powder, effective for managing oiliness and shine The twist-off cap and watery consistency can make it messy and inconvenient to dispense onto your hand. I'd recommend an exfoliating toner instead - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 13, 2022
I have extremely oily, sensitive skin that's prone to blemishes. After using this product, I noticed it really helped control excess oil. As it balanced my skin's oil production, I saw a visible reduction in whiteheads, blackheads, and other skin issues, which I'm thrilled about. I also loved the pretty pink color that looks like it should smell like peaches, though it doesn't actually have a peach scent. Currently, I'm using a low pH cleanser in the morning and the Acnes Perfect Solution Cleanser at night. About 2-3 times a week, I use an oil cleanser for my first cleanse before the evening routine. The only downside is that when dispensing the product, it tends to run down the side of the container opening, which means you have to wipe it clean frequently. It's a bit inconvenient. Using this product alone can feel a bit drying, so in the morning before applying sunblock, I add a soothing gel. In the evening, I layer on a product containing Centella Asiatica for additional benefits. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2021
I won this in an event, so here's my belated review! The texture is super lightweight and refreshing, so I'd recommend using it more in summer than winter. It's moisturizing, but because of the pink powder finish, it's not exactly powdery-soft, more like... semi-matte? I didn't have any particular blemishes pop up, so I guess there weren't any ingredients that didn't agree with my skin. I don't really have any major complaints, but if I had to say something... Since the texture is quite watery, it tends to run a bit when you put it on your hand, which feels a tad wasteful. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJun 18, 2020
This is the least irritating of all the acne-focused toners I've used so far. It gives a slightly cooling sensation when applied. Rather than evaporating quickly, it leaves the skin feeling moisturized, as if you've just spritzed on a face mist. You absolutely must shake it well before each use. When you open the cap and pour it into your hand, the watery formula gushes out too quickly. Toner is the first step in your skincare routine, and to avoid increasing skin sensitivity from this point, I don't rub it in with a cotton pad. Instead, I apply it directly to my face and gently pat it in. Always apply with clean hands! Occasionally, when I get a cluster of blemishes around my chin area, I'll soak a cotton pad with the toner and leave it on as a spot treatment for a moment. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2019
This is my holy grail product! I've already gone through two bottles. I have sensitive combination dehydrated skin that gets extremely oily, so I switched to this after seeing recommendations on Director Pi. Since using this, I haven't had any blemishes! Usually, my sensitive skin reacts badly when I change products, but not with this one. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I used to get very oily in the afternoon or after waking up, but that has significantly reduced! The downside is that the bottle opening is just a simple hole, which makes it difficult to control the amount. You end up using more product than necessary. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 26, 2019
It's suitable for those with oily skin. It doesn't leave an excessively rich feeling on the skin. It's disappointing that a bit of the product leaks out every time you shake the bottle. Apply it with gentle tapping motions. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJun 12, 2019
It absorbs quickly and I definitely feel like my blemishes have reduced compared to before! The consistency is quite runny, so you need to apply it with a cotton pad or something similar Make sure to shake it well! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJun 8, 2019
First off, I have super oily, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I decided to try the Sebum Balancing Skin toner because it contains calamine, which is supposed to control sebum production. The application was quite nice. As it's an exfoliating toner, I gently wiped it with a cotton pad. It didn't feel drying at all, but left a slightly moisturized feeling. It's not super hydrating though, so in winter you might want to layer a more hydrating toner on top. In hot weather, this balancing toner alone was enough for my very oily skin. I've tried many products claiming to control oil, but never saw results. This time, I was skeptical too. But one day, I forgot to use it and rushed to work - my face turned into an oil slick! That's when I realized it really works. Plus, I noticed I needed to exfoliate less often, so it seems to have a gentle exfoliating effect too! The downside is that it's a shake-before-use product, but sometimes when you shake it, the contents spill out. Not sure if mine was defective, but I really disliked the cap. The toner keeps leaking, which is unhygienic and wasteful. It's annoying to have to wipe the bottle clean too. Also, it doesn't seem to help much with blemishes. I still get about the same amount of breakouts as before. Even though it's marketed as an exfoliating toner, since my skin is extremely oily, I felt like just wiping it off might reduce its effectiveness. So after wiping with a cotton pad, I pat some more into my skin with my hands. This method worked much better for me! The cap is a bit flimsy though, so it tends to drip when dispensing... but the results are worth it! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 25, 2019
Its lightweight formula makes it perfect for applying with a cotton pad to wipe off makeup. Since it doesn't seem to cause any blemishes, it appears to be suitable even for acne-prone skin. Due to its light consistency, you end up using it faster than expected. The thin texture makes it a bit tricky to control the amount dispensed, as it tends to run when poured out.
