I've been using this for almost a month, and it's absolutely fantastic for calming blemishes. I've tried everything that's supposed to be good for skin and even taken medication, but this toner is the real deal. There's also an Acnes mask pack which is amazing, and I'm really hoping they'll release an ampoule version of it too... The only tiny downside is that it doesn't quite tackle deep dryness as well as I'd like, but other than that, I'm extremely satisfied Try the Acnes calming mask pack too, and if you collect the ampoule inside and apply it after the toner, it's incredibly soothing! Oh, and instead of squeezing it onto your hands, which can feel a bit messy, try attaching a spray nozzle - it makes application so much more convenient! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJan 24, 2023
It absorbs well. The pink powder inside really helps control excess oil on the face. However, because it controls oil so effectively, it might cause deep dryness. Use it with a rich emulsion, moisturizer, or essence instead of a light emulsion. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 8, 2022
As someone with sensitive, acne-prone skin, this product's ability to control blemishes is the best I've experienced among all the cosmetics I've used so far. The toner and emulsion alone aren't enough to combat deep dryness. It's better when you apply a hydrating cream on top. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinMay 3, 2021
As someone with atopic and extremely dry skin, I'm cautious about products that sting upon application. Fortunately, this one didn't cause any irritation. While the calamine ingredient is unavoidable, its distinct scent (slightly rubbery?) was a bit off-putting each time I applied it, though you get used to it. However, it's far too drying for those with dry skin. My skin felt tight even after applying toner. As a result, I didn't reach for it often. It might be more suitable for sweltering summer days. I'm unsure about its soothing effects. I kept getting blemishes while using this, but they disappeared when I switched back to my usual skincare routine. It's more drying than expected, so it might be good for light use during hot, humid summers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 30, 2021
I received two sizes and started with the smaller one. They're the same product. Skin type: Thin / Sensitive / Prone to redness / Deep dryness / Oily T-zone / Normal elsewhere / Acne-prone (oil buildup type) Absorbs well: It absorbs quickly with minimal residue, leaving a pleasantly matte finish - a major plus for this product. Application: Being liquid, it spreads easily. Recommended for: Skin prone to oil buildup or those who apply cream after toner I especially loved that there's no greasy feeling after application. Hydration: While the surface feels fine, there's deep dryness underneath, possibly due to its oil content Blemishes: My redness gets much worse, unfortunately. I always need to apply a soothing essence/toner/serum/ampoule after using this. Not recommended for: Thin, redness-prone skin with deep dryness If you vigorously shake it up and down, the foam stays intact for a long time Gently inverting the bottle a few times, holding it in the middle, also mixes the contents well - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 26, 2021
I have combination skin that leans more towards the dry side! That's why I always make sure to replenish my skin's hydration in the evening with moisturizing products. I usually used a cream skin toner, but thanks to winning The Hwahae Testers selection, I switched to Acnes for about a week! 1. Absorption It absorbs well! My previous toner left a slightly oily residue when I did the 3-skin method, but Acnes absorbs quickly! Or maybe it's because it contains powder ingredients that give it that fresh, matte finish? I think that's a similar way to describe it! 2. Sebum and oil control The matte finish definitely seemed to keep sebum and oil at bay! Sometimes when my skin is dry, it overproduces oil, but with Acnes, I didn't experience any excess oiliness! 3. Scent The fragrance wasn't unpleasant! It has a subtle, fresh scent - how should I put it? It's not a headache-inducing smell, so it was easy to use without any issues. As I mentioned earlier, since I tend to have dry skin, I did feel some tightness when I only applied the toner! If you have dry skin, I highly recommend using it together with a hydrating moisturizer or other hydrating products! I thought it would provide some moisture since it contains oil, but I was disappointed by how dry it left my skin feeling. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 20, 2020
Effective at calming blemishes and feels refreshing. Helps lower skin temperature. Slightly irritating. May cause deep dryness...? Use as a skin pack with cotton pads - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 28, 2020
☆One Month Review☆ ✔Skin type: - Combination dehydrated skin - Acne-prone skin (mainly on forehead, nose, and cheeks, especially prevalent on cheeks), severe blackheads on nose I really loved how quickly it absorbs. There's absolutely no feeling of it sitting on top of the skin, which I personally found fantastic. Also, because the container is made of hard plastic, it seems easier to control the amount compared to other containers. The texture is completely water-like, so it flows easily. The cooling effect is great. While the hard container made it easy to control the amount, I personally found it a bit difficult to dispense the product. Additionally, it didn't have much effect on calming blemishes, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for significant improvement in that area. Although I appreciated how quickly it absorbs, I'm disappointed that it didn't quite address deep dryness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 30, 2020
It's great at controlling sebum and excess oil while keeping the skin hydrated! I think it's particularly beneficial for acne-prone and sensitive skin. It even helps reduce redness. As someone with super sensitive skin, I've struggled to find products that work for me, but this one does the trick! Just keep in mind that it's not designed to address deep dryness, so you'll want to use a separate moisturizer alongside this product. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 22, 2020
It seems to help control excess oil in the T-zone where sebum tends to accumulate The watery texture doesn't quite address deep dryness and evaporates quickly, which is a bit disappointing Recommended for oily skin types!
