I've tried a sample of the Goodbye Redness Centella Cream before, and I needed a cleansing powder, so I decided to buy this. I was hesitant because the powder particles were said to be very fine and the opening was large. Personally, I prefer powder types with slightly larger granules. Still, I bought it because I use powder cleansers for morning cleansing rather than deep cleansing, and this one is gentle. The fine particles cleanse deeply into the pores without irritation, which I love. They included a stick as gratis, which is perfect for travel!
ConsThere's quite a bit of excess powder that can get messy, and it's a bit tricky to use in a humid bathroom. I've been transferring small amounts into a separate container to use. The powder tends to fly away quickly, so you need to wet your hands first before scooping it out to use.

The biggest advantage is that it contains hyaluronic acid, which removes excess oil while leaving my skin hydrated after cleansing. On days when I wear makeup, I do a first cleanse with oil, followed by the Centella Powder Wash, which thoroughly removes any remaining oil for a perfectly clean finish! This gentle product is great for use on freshly emerged blemishes or healing acne spots without causing irritation! What I love most is that the first step of my skincare routine - cleansing - now includes soothing ingredients like cica and calamine, which are excellent for acne-prone skin! While the price might seem a bit high, you only need a small amount per use, so it lasts a long time. Compared to other powder washes on the market, I find it reasonably priced and I'm very satisfied! That's why I'm 200% certain I'll be repurchasing this product!
ConsJust be careful when using it, as the powder can sometimes get into your nose if it becomes airborne!
TipI love creating rich lather, so I use a bubble maker. Since it's a powder, it can slip through your fingers when you try to lather it up by hand, so I highly recommend using a bubble maker! You can get one at Daiso for just a dollar - it's totally worth it! Using the foam to massage your face while cleansing helps with dead skin cell removal and allows for a gentler cleanse.

Large, prominent pores galore. Bumpy texture and rough patches galore. In other words, problematic skin! Advantage 1: Gentle cleansing power. Unlike traditional foam cleansers that left my skin feeling squeaky clean, this product felt soft. This likely means it's less irritating. Advantage 2: Surprisingly effective at reducing redness. While I'm usually skeptical about skincare products' effects (since skin is influenced more by external factors), I genuinely felt this reduced my redness significantly. Advantage 3: Reduced bumpy texture. Despite passing out without cleansing twice recently after drinking (oops!), I still noticed a significant improvement in skin texture. Will I repurchase: Yes, but it might take a few months since my previous cleanser was a large size.
ConsThe seal doesn't seem to work well. Even when I close the lid tightly, water tends to get into the powder.

With lukewarm water, it was easy to create a lather by rubbing it between your palms, and the powder dissolved well! It contains centella and other active ingredients, which seemed to help calm some redness on my skin! Being a powder type, it felt like it gently removed dead skin cells, and after cleansing, my skin texture gradually became smoother! The quantity is quite generous, so it should last for a long time.
ConsThe powder dispenser opening is a bit large, so if you're not careful, it can pour out too much. You need to use it gently and in small amounts! The powder particles are very fine and can easily become airborne, which can make the lid area messy quickly. This was my first time using an enzyme cleanser, and I didn't particularly like the scent. It smelled a bit like powdered cold medicine mixed with flour. However, the smell wasn't too strong during cleansing, so it wasn't off-putting enough to deter me from using it. But those who are sensitive to scents might want to consider this before purchasing.
TipBe careful not to use too much powder as it may not dissolve well in water. Use about a coin-sized amount in your palm, add a few drops of lukewarm water, and work it into a lather with your hands for a gentle cleanse.

Though Benton was a new brand for me, I decided to try it after hearing it contained ingredients good for blemishes. The powder particles are slightly coarse rather than fine, with a light pink tint. It wasn't irritating, and after use, my blemishes seemed to calm down a bit. Post-cleanse, my skin felt soft and looked brighter without any deep dryness. Being a powder type, it seems like it will last for a long time.
ConsIt's on the pricier side, so I'll have to think about repurchasing after I've used it all up. You need to slowly dissolve it with water, and it doesn't produce much foam. The cleansing effectiveness isn't particularly strong.

My face didn't feel tight at all! It's so non-drying that I sometimes forgot I hadn't done my skincare routine, haha! As someone with oily skin, I'm not sure how it would work for those with dry skin, but I found it nicely hydrating. - Skin texture improvement While the changes weren't dramatic, I noticed improvement in the texture of my cheeks. My main concern was T-zone whiteheads and blemishes, but it wasn't quite effective for those. I plan to continue using this product and will update my review in the future.
Cons- Excess powder I accidentally inhaled some once, and my nasal cavity (where they poke during COVID tests) felt irritated all day. Since then, I've been mixing it with water to create a foam before applying it to my face. I was hoping to get an exfoliating effect from rubbing the powder, so this is a bit disappointing. - The jar has an inner seal under the lid. I spent a while trying to figure out why nothing was coming out before I realized this...

I'd heard enzyme cleansers were great for blemishes, so I was eager to give it a go. Overall, while there were a few more downsides than I expected, I still found some positives worth mentioning. My skin type: Super sensitive The Good: 1. Gentle on skin As someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised by how mild this cleanser felt. It didn't irritate my skin at all, which made a great first impression. 2. Blemish prevention While I don't often get blemishes, I felt like this cleanser did a good job of controlling excess oil, which could help prevent breakouts. It gave me a sense of balanced care for my skin. However, I didn't have any major blemishes during my testing period, so I can't speak to its effectiveness in reducing existing blemishes. 3. Non-drying I've read that enzyme cleansers can be drying and are best for summer use. However, despite its oil-controlling properties, I didn't find this cleanser particularly drying at all.
Cons1. Weak cleansing power First and foremost, the cleansing effectiveness is disappointingly weak. For a facial cleanser, this is a significant drawback. I'd recommend using it as a secondary cleanser after your primary cleanse, focusing on the T-zone, blemish-prone areas, or oily spots. 2. Difficult to control amount It's challenging to dispense the right amount of this powder cleanser. The first time I used it, I was startled by how much came out! Even though I tried to be more careful after that, I always ended up using more than intended. 3. Doesn't dissolve well You're supposed to mix the powder with water in your palm to create a lather, but as soon as water touches it, it clumps up and doesn't mix well. The clumps often escape your palm, making it hard to work up a good lather. This leads to constantly having to add more powder. 4. Moisture-sensitive powder cleanser The instructions warn to keep the powder away from moisture, which makes sense given its form. However, considering that we typically use cleansers in the bathroom - a naturally humid environment - it would be great if they could include some kind of moisture-absorbing packet in the container.
TipTo make up for its weak cleansing power, I recommend using this as a secondary cleanser! I've been using it after my primary cleanse, focusing on my T-zone, blemish-prone areas, and oilier parts of my face.

It's not irritating, and the powder is fine, which I was satisfied with. It seems perfect for daily use and also great as a second cleanser. I had acne on my chin and forehead, but after using this, they definitely got smaller! The foam is light rather than rich and dense. I used a cleansing pad first to wipe my face, then used this product as a second step, and it worked well. Compared to other foam cleansers I've used like mung bean or Dokdo, this one caused less skin tightness. I recommend trying this for those struggling with blemishes!
ConsI was surprised by the scent. While I don't mind it much if the product works well, those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit off-putting. Being a powder type, it's a bit tricky to control the amount and water ratio. Too much water and it won't foam, too little and the powder clumps. The lid seems thin and a bit fragile. Since it's a powder type, I'm worried water might get in if you open the lid with wet hands. Despite mentioning these drawbacks, I'm satisfied because the effects are visibly good. It would be nice if they improved the packaging, but I'm happy with it due to its effectiveness!
TipIt works well if you put powder in one hand and water in the other, then mix while adjusting the water amount. For the powder, just flip the product and give it a light shake - that's roughly the right amount for one use!

However, the product was definitely gentle and suited my sensitive skin well. Perhaps due to the centella asiatica, I really loved how smooth my skin felt after washing!
ConsI personally don't mind if a cleanser doesn't lather much, so it wasn't an issue for me. But if you're someone who prefers a rich, foamy lather, you might find this a bit disappointing!

I've never seen results from a cleansing product before, but you can actually feel the sebum dissolving as you roll it over different areas. It's not like little granules coming out, but at some point, you notice the bumpy texture in your T-zone has diminished. It seems gentle. First off, the scent isn't overpowering - just a light powder fragrance? Maybe a very faint flour-like smell? Due to its powder nature, it doesn't lather excessively! It produces just enough foam to cleanse your entire face, which I personally find great for skincare as there's less worry about residual foam. *Note: Results may vary* After using this, my pores... they've shrunk! I didn't expect pore-refining effects, so I didn't take before photos. If only I'd known, I would've snapped pics of my T-zone and pores! But even without photos, there's definitely a noticeable change. There are different cleansers for general use and makeup removal. I consider this product a general cleanser specialized for acne... It's surprising to see people evaluating its makeup removal power. For a general cleanser, I think it removes makeup quite effectively! With masks causing more skin issues lately, I've been wearing less makeup or going for a lighter look. When I use just a light layer of foundation, or brightening moisturizer/eyebrow product/eyeshadow/lip product, it removes everything without leaving residue! I think that's impressive for a non-makeup removing cleanser.
ConsBeing a powder type, if your nose is tilted even slightly towards the cap, you can feel it entering your airways. Make sure to turn your head away! Despite being called a powder wash, it doesn't completely dissolve in water! Similar to the undissolved bits left at the bottom when you mix a powdered drink, some clumps remain undissolved till the end.
TipMake sure to look away when opening the cap and try rolling! It really dissolves sebum well, so give rolling a try. This is the first time I've truly understood the purpose of rolling while cleansing... Lastly, in my case, I use the undissolved clumps to clean small tools like extractors. It would be a waste to just throw them away, right?
