Be careful not to inhale it when examining closely...haha! Don't bring it too close to your nose, folks. It's as fine as the powder on tiramisu, so you might sneeze if it gets in your nose or mouth Compared to other powder cleansers, it lathers well! Unlike previous powder cleansers that barely lathered, making me wonder if I was actually cleansing, Benton's powder wash creates a good amount of foam. I enjoyed massaging it on my face while cleansing - it really feels like it's working! Removes oil effectively As someone with combination skin whose T-zone becomes an oil slick even without makeup, my skin feels refreshingly matte after cleansing Regarding blemishes: I had some on my forehead before using this product, but they disappeared while using it
ConsDifficult to control the amount of product It can be surprising when too much pours out at once If you use too much, the powder clumps!? When there's excess powder, it tends to clump up before lathering when water is added. To avoid this, you need to control the amount well! Not sure about dead skin cell removal... After cleansing, I'm unsure if dead skin cells were removed. My skin texture still felt quite rough. I think this aspect might vary more from person to person
TipTo make dosing a bit easier, try tilting the container and gently tapping it with your hand! For the right amount of foam, rub your hands together before cleansing! Focus on blemish-prone areas for a second round - it really helps them heal faster!!! Give it a try!

I'd heard enzyme cleansers were great for blemishes, so I was eager to give it a go. Overall, while there were a few more downsides than I expected, I still found some positives worth mentioning. My skin type: Super sensitive The Good: 1. Gentle on skin As someone with super sensitive skin, I was pleasantly surprised by how mild this cleanser felt. It didn't irritate my skin at all, which made a great first impression. 2. Blemish prevention While I don't often get blemishes, I felt like this cleanser did a good job of controlling excess oil, which could help prevent breakouts. It gave me a sense of balanced care for my skin. However, I didn't have any major blemishes during my testing period, so I can't speak to its effectiveness in reducing existing blemishes. 3. Non-drying I've read that enzyme cleansers can be drying and are best for summer use. However, despite its oil-controlling properties, I didn't find this cleanser particularly drying at all.
Cons1. Weak cleansing power First and foremost, the cleansing effectiveness is disappointingly weak. For a facial cleanser, this is a significant drawback. I'd recommend using it as a secondary cleanser after your primary cleanse, focusing on the T-zone, blemish-prone areas, or oily spots. 2. Difficult to control amount It's challenging to dispense the right amount of this powder cleanser. The first time I used it, I was startled by how much came out! Even though I tried to be more careful after that, I always ended up using more than intended. 3. Doesn't dissolve well You're supposed to mix the powder with water in your palm to create a lather, but as soon as water touches it, it clumps up and doesn't mix well. The clumps often escape your palm, making it hard to work up a good lather. This leads to constantly having to add more powder. 4. Moisture-sensitive powder cleanser The instructions warn to keep the powder away from moisture, which makes sense given its form. However, considering that we typically use cleansers in the bathroom - a naturally humid environment - it would be great if they could include some kind of moisture-absorbing packet in the container.
TipTo make up for its weak cleansing power, I recommend using this as a secondary cleanser! I've been using it after my primary cleanse, focusing on my T-zone, blemish-prone areas, and oilier parts of my face.

I use cleansing products whether I'm wearing makeup or not, and I'd recommend this to those who want to start with changing their cleansing tools for soothing purposes. Also, there was a time when I delayed my skincare routine after washing my face, but I didn't experience any deep dryness. I'd recommend this as a soothing option for those with dry skin!
ConsIt doesn't miraculously make all the redness disappear. I'd only recommend this to those who want a soothing cleanser or want to start their soothing routine from the cleansing step. Also, as someone mentioned below, it's not easy to control the amount, and as an impatient person, I find it a bit annoying to have to melt it before use. Since I use it as a second cleanser, I didn't really feel like it wasn't removing things well!

It's not irritating, and the powder is fine, which I was satisfied with. It seems perfect for daily use and also great as a second cleanser. I had acne on my chin and forehead, but after using this, they definitely got smaller! The foam is light rather than rich and dense. I used a cleansing pad first to wipe my face, then used this product as a second step, and it worked well. Compared to other foam cleansers I've used like mung bean or Dokdo, this one caused less skin tightness. I recommend trying this for those struggling with blemishes!
ConsI was surprised by the scent. While I don't mind it much if the product works well, those sensitive to fragrances might find it a bit off-putting. Being a powder type, it's a bit tricky to control the amount and water ratio. Too much water and it won't foam, too little and the powder clumps. The lid seems thin and a bit fragile. Since it's a powder type, I'm worried water might get in if you open the lid with wet hands. Despite mentioning these drawbacks, I'm satisfied because the effects are visibly good. It would be nice if they improved the packaging, but I'm happy with it due to its effectiveness!
TipIt works well if you put powder in one hand and water in the other, then mix while adjusting the water amount. For the powder, just flip the product and give it a light shake - that's roughly the right amount for one use!

It seems to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, and my skin feels soft after rinsing. The cleansing effectiveness is pretty good too. The amount is surprisingly generous, so it'll likely last a while! Even a small amount of powder creates a decent lather, which helps it go a long way. The packaging design is clean and attractive, and the powder is easy to dispense.
ConsThe lather isn't particularly rich or abundant. There's a risk of the powder spilling and making the opening messy. It can be tricky to control the amount of powder that comes out - sometimes too much comes out at once, leading to overuse.
TipHere's a Hwahae Testers tip: When you want to exfoliate, use the remaining bit of powder during your cleanse for some extra dead skin cell removal!

Ingredients: The gentle and beneficial ingredients allowed me to use this without worry. Given my blemish-prone and sensitive skin, I'm usually cautious. My skin tends to react badly if I apply or eat the wrong thing. This product was gentle enough to use without issues! Texture: After use, it leaves my face feeling fresh and controls oil well. It's non-irritating and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. It also smooths my skin texture and helps with calming. It's said to help balance oil and moisture levels and control sebum! Cleansing: (5 stars) Great cleansing power! It leaves no residue, finishing with a clean feel. As it doesn't contain surfactants, it doesn't produce much foam! Scent: It has a slightly powdery, pungent scent.
ConsI found more disappointing aspects than expected. Firstly, it's not easy to control the amount. Being a powder type that you have to shake out of the container makes it difficult. It's vulnerable to water, so it's inconvenient to use with wet hands when washing your face. Water tends to get on the container opening. Also, I'm not sure if it's just me, but it doesn't dissolve well in water. When I wet it and rub it with my hands, the powder clumps like dough.
TipProper storage seems important, especially given its powder form! It can also be used as a bubble pack. Apply it all over your face, wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then rinse off.

First, let me describe my skin: I have super sensitive skin that often reacts badly to cosmetics. In winter, it's so dry that I need heavy creams, while in summer it's combination dehydrated skin with excess oil. The best thing about this product is that it causes almost no irritation. I usually use gentle cleansing foams morning and night. Even with the mildest foams, I'd feel some irritation in the direction I rubbed, but with this product, I was amazed that no matter how much I massaged it, there was virtually no irritation. Secondly, my blemishes have slightly decreased. Although I've only been using it for about a week and there's no dramatic change, I had some small bumps on my face which seem to have reduced. More noticeably, my back acne, which was quite severe, has improved - the reddish spots have faded somewhat and become smaller. Lastly, I loved that there was no deep dryness after cleansing. While its cleansing effectiveness isn't as powerful as an oil cleanser, it still cleanses as well as a foam cleanser without leaving my skin feeling tight afterwards, which I found very satisfying.
ConsThe main drawback is that when you open the container, since it's a powder, it often gets into your nose. Secondly, it's a bit difficult to store when using it in the bath, as water can get in no matter how careful you are. Lastly, I found it trickier than expected to control the amount of water to mix with the powder.
TipI found on Naver that some people use it as a mask, so I tried leaving it on my back and face for about 2 minutes before rinsing. Whether it's because of this or not, I noticed my back acne in particular has reduced.
