It's moisturizing and absorbs beautifully! The color was vibrantly gorgeous. This was my first Yves Saint Laurent product, and I loved it so much that I'm now on my third one! As for downsides... I can't really think of any, except that personally, I wasn't too fond of the fragrance! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2021
The YSL lip product feels like a must-have collection piece. It applies smoothly and gives a slightly cool sensation when putting it on. There's a bit of staining, so the staying power isn't bad either. The color has a slight pink mix, which was a color choice fail for my warm complexion... It might look prettier on those with cool undertones. For a water stain tint, the color is vibrant and shows up well. About two months after I started using it, the tint began to smell like alcohol? It had a slightly fermented odor, which made me feel I couldn't use it for long :( After some time, it feels a bit drying and dead skin cells start to appear... (All YSL lip products make my lips flake, unfortunately) I think I bought it just because it's YSL, sigh. With so many affordable tints coming out these days that work well, this one feels a bit disappointing for its price. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinDec 5, 2020
Honestly, this is no exaggeration, I really want to buy it again! The scent isn't pleasant. I wish there was a bit more product in the container. This is truly a life-changing lip product! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 6, 2020
This tint doesn't give you that super glossy look like some drugstore plumping tints, but rather a moisturizing formula. I thought it would be a common orange-red, but when applied thinly on the lips, there's no prettier water-stained red out there! I had to deduct stars because of the overwhelming scent and ingredients. There's a strange chemical and perfume fragrance that you can smell not only with your nose but also feel when applying it. Ugh... YSL has always had these two drawbacks, and I really wish they'd fix them. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 26, 2020
The color is absolutely gorgeous, and it seems to transfer less than other moisturizing tints! Unfortunately, the scent is a bit disappointing as it smells too much like alcohol. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinApr 29, 2020
The absorbs is fantastic! The texture feels like it's somewhere between moisturizing and rich. I took the photo with a regular camera! I think the slightly enhanced saturation in the picture represents its true color. I usually can't wear lip products with a bare face because my lips stand out too much, but this one looks fine even without makeup! The scent...? Some people might not like it, and I was unsure at first, but now it reminds me of a subtle wine fragrance. I'm satisfied! If you consider yourself really clumsy, you might end up applying it unevenly. I took off one star because it's not my absolute favorite color. I prefer using this as an accent rather than applying it to my full lips! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinNov 19, 2019
The entire color range of this line is beautiful. When first applied, it has an incredibly lightweight and natural texture. Apart from the above advantages, everything else is a drawback. The staying power is terrible - it disappears even if you just drink water. It only feels moisturizing at first and quickly becomes dry. The worst part is that, like all Yves Saint Laurent tint products, the scent is only pleasant initially. After using it a few times, it starts to smell like fermented alcohol mixed with body odor. This makes it impossible to use up the entire product. Lastly, the quantity is too small, and the price is wickedly high. If you buy a separate applicator from Daiso and use it to apply the product, it slightly delays the onset of the unpleasant smell. Also, mixing shades 612 and 615 creates a gorgeous color! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinOct 16, 2019
I tried this because it's known as Hyuna's tint. I thought it would be light since it's called a water tint, but it actually has a bit of moisturizing effect. While it's not as hydrating as a lip glow, it applies lightly with good absorption. The color payoff is great and it lasts a long time! There's always this scent... I was surprised by the slightly chemical smell, but I've used many Yves Saint Laurent tints and they all seem to have that scent. I've just gotten used to it and continue using it. If your lips aren't dry, the color payoff is really pretty and long-lasting. That's why I recommend applying a little bit of lip balm before the tint. It helps the color last longer and look beautiful!
