What I loved about this product: As someone with chronically dry, flaky lips, I'm usually very picky when choosing moisturizing lip products. Often, they end up emphasizing my dead skin cells even more. But this tint completely won me over! It doesn't highlight any flakiness, and being a water tint, it's not sticky at all. The glass-like glow it gives is absolutely stunning. Room for improvement: Many users have reported issues with the lip case lid not sealing properly, causing the product to leak. This seems to be hit or miss - I haven't experienced any leakage with the ones I've purchased so far. Given its fluid formula, it's important to keep the lid area clean and well-maintained. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2020
As someone with a serious lip product addiction who carries 4-5 lip products in my bag, this is an absolute must-have for summer! Despite being a tint, it's not drying at all and has a luxurious moistness without feeling sticky. The price... the price... I'm not sure if there's an issue with Yves Saint Laurent lip product packaging, but they keep leaking. I have to wipe them clean before use. - Hwahae UserOily SkinJun 30, 2020
This water-tint lip color is the epitome of a classic red, offering intense pigmentation without excessive stickiness It may transfer onto teeth, and the longevity is compromised as it fades when drinking water... - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinApr 30, 2020
The epitome of a juicy, tanghuru-like lip tint that doesn't feel sticky, making it comfortable on the lips. As someone with a summer cool tone and dry skin, I find the trendy matte lips uncomfortable and they make my makeup look dull. I always end up coming back to Yves Saint Laurent (not their matte tints though)! The 612 shade is a slightly warm-toned red that can be used as a classic red when applied as a full lip. The stain it leaves behind is orange-tinted (but not overly pink). With my light complexion, this red lip tint felt a bit warm on me. The stain it left behind was more orange to vermilion... It might be a fresh red lip for those with deeper undertones? While the water-like texture and hydration are strengths of this tint, the moisture evaporates too quickly during seasonal changes. The standard YSL tints or water tint formulas tend to be much more long-lasting in terms of hydration. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMar 1, 2020
It's incredibly hydrating with a beautiful glow, yet amazingly not sticky at all! And it's truly, truly lightweight... I can't even feel it on my skin. I love you, YSL... Well... it's a bit tricky to apply? The first time you use it, you need to apply it while looking in the mirror. For touch-ups, you can apply without looking, which is fine... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJan 5, 2020
I use the slightly lighter shade 21. It gives my lips a moisturized look without being too intense. I wasn't sure what to buy, so I just asked for a recommended red lip color, and I'm satisfied with my choice. It's a versatile shade that's easy to apply. The texture isn't overly sticky, which I really like. For someone like me on a budget, the price is a bit steep. That's the only downside I've noticed so far. After using it for a few days, I'm disappointed with the staying power. It's not great at all. I do drink a lot of water and my lips tend to peel, but still, the color disappears after just a few sips of water. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 7, 2019
Moisturizing lip color that's not sticky - that's what I loved most! The staying power was impressive for a hydrating formula. It doesn't disappear right away. All the lip shades turned out beautifully too! I wear it daily, every single day! It also layers well with other lip products. For me (as someone not particularly skilled at application), it tends to smudge slightly around the edges of the lips when applying. So I always clean it up with a cotton swab! While it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells too much, if you look closely without exfoliating first, you can see it very slightly accentuating dry patches. Everyone's perfect shade is different, so I highly recommend trying it on in-store before buying! While it's a bit cheaper online, I suggest testing it out in person first. After all, it's not exactly budget-friendly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinAug 4, 2019
The vibrant, clear red color is beautiful. It's not sticky, and the subtle shimmer is lovely too. 1. Tingling sensation on lip line Ever since using this, my lip line has developed tiny blister-like bumps, feels extremely dry and has a tingling sensation. I used to experience this with Peripera's Airy Velvet line. Not sure if it's due to the ingredients, but the irritation makes it unwearable. Even applying my usual lip balm generously every night doesn't help with the tingling. 2. Disappointing longevity While the staying power isn't terrible, it's not great either. 3. Expensive price tag Even at duty-free prices, it's still too costly. 4. Unpleasant taste As you wear water tints, you inevitably ingest a bit when eating or talking. The taste is truly awful. The moment you taste it, you need to wipe it off with a tissue. Never want to experience that flavor again. The glow intensifies with each additional layer...
