Though it's thin, it has a slight consistency that allows it to spread smoothly on the skin and absorbs without any stickiness. There's a slightly rich feel, but it's not heavy. It leaves just a hint of glow on the skin, so I could use it in the morning without worry. After absorption, my skin felt firm and hydrated, which was quite satisfying for my dry skin. The scent has Huxley's signature cool and unique fragrance, which might be an acquired taste for some. The oil essence doesn't really feel oily. It has good absorption and a nice fragrance. It has a finish similar to that of cosmetics containing silicone. It's fine to use except in the depths of winter and summer. While it's called an oil essence, it's not enough during the cold winter. I tried a sample of Huxley's product and loved the scent so much that I decided to purchase it. When applied, it provides great hydration and has a perfect consistency - not too light, not too heavy. The ingredients aren't particularly good. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I've noticed my skin getting drier as I approach my late 30s. This product is fantastic because it locks in both deep and surface hydration. I first learned about it in a makeup class where the instructor recommended it, and I'm now on my nth bottle. It doesn't cause my makeup to pill and maintains a subtle Inner Glow from within. While it wasn't disappointing for my skin type, I do have dry skin, so I use quite a lot of it. The price point is a bit of a concern for me. For those with dry skin types, try layering it twice for even better results. I love how it feels so moisturizing, almost like an oil, which is perfect for winter use I'm not sure if it provides deep hydration, and I can't really tell if it improves skin texture I used it up faster than expected, so I recommend buying the larger size

The essence has a slightly cloudy appearance with a texture that feels like a blend of essence and emulsion, providing excellent hydration. When applied, there's a cooling effect. Initially, it might seem a bit sticky, but once fully absorbed, it leaves almost no residue. It creates a smooth moisturizing layer, making it ideal for winter use. Despite its 'oil-like' name, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too rich. Instead, it improved my skin texture without feeling slippery or sitting on top of the skin. It has Huxley's signature Moroccan Gardener scent, which reminds me of the green stems of roses. This fragrance might be polarizing. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the scent, but it's quite strong only at first. Once applied to the face, the scent becomes barely noticeable, which made it more tolerable for me.
