The coverage isn't extremely high, but it's one of the more hydrating concealers out there. It has a lightweight texture despite being moisturizing, which helps it set well and adhere to the skin nicely. Highly recommended for those who dislike dry concealers and prioritize good adherence! The entire Banila Co. Covericious line seems to be well-crafted. Both the foundation and concealer perform above average. A major plus is that it applies lightly, so your makeup doesn't look heavy or cakey because of the concealer. The shade range is a bit disappointing... Typically, to effectively cover blemishes or dark spots, a concealer should be slightly darker than your base. However, this concealer tends to run lighter than the shade number suggests, so it might be better to buy a lighter shade and use it as a highlighter rather than for coverage. For those who use shades 21 or 22 and want to cover dark spots or blemishes, I'd recommend shade 23 (Peanut)! If you're looking to use it as a highlighter, go for an even lighter shade. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 5, 2023
While it's not particularly high coverage, I really like it because it doesn't dry out my skin and has a great shade that effectively conceals redness. I finally found a concealer with good ingredients that I really like. It's so great! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinApr 7, 2023
The ingredients are better compared to other concealers. It doesn't cause any blemishes when used. It's neither excessively moisturizing nor drying. I've tried Clio (too dry), then Luna (caused blemishes), and finally settled on this Banila Co. concealer. The downside is that there's no shade between 21 Peach and 23 Peanut. 21 matches my skin tone but is too light to cover blemishes. 23 is good for covering dark spots and blemishes, but it's slightly dark. I'd definitely buy it again if they released a 22 shade. I use 21 on areas where I want to brighten the skin tone. 23 is used for covering dark spots or red blemishes. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 20, 2023
I love that it doesn't cause any irritation. The coverage is pretty decent. As someone with dry skin, I appreciate that it doesn't make my skin feel too parched. I'm not entirely sure, but after about 3 hours, my natural skin starts to show through. You'll need to reapply. Apply it in small dabs without leaving any oily residue. - Hwahae UserDry SkinNov 24, 2021
It adhered well to my skin and didn't feel dry when applied. I haven't found any drawbacks yet! It's the best concealer I've tried so far! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 13, 2021
It doesn't dry out, so it doesn't cake and lasts for a long time! I mainly used it under my eyes and around my mouth, and even after about 10 hours, it didn't crease and worked well. I think this is its best feature! I have combination dehydrated skin, but I didn't experience any discomfort like dryness or caking. Although it's shade 23, it has a very strong yellow undertone. This makes it look a bit dull. However, I'm still satisfied because it doesn't cake up too much. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 12, 2021
Skin Type: Dry, extremely sensitive, prone to redness Texture & Consistency: A thick liquid concealer! It applies smoothly and sets to a matte finish After-use Review: • As someone with dry skin, I was slightly concerned about the matte finish, but while it left my skin looking powdery, there was no deep dryness, which I loved! I think this concealer would be great for summer use. • The best part was the color! It didn't have that typical yellowish or ashy tone that concealers often have. So when applied after foundation, it blended seamlessly with my complexion without looking out of place. • Considering it's a liquid concealer, I felt the coverage was quite good. • I have super sensitive skin that reacts quickly to harsh or irritating ingredients (itching, hives, redness, etc.). However, this product didn't cause any itching or skin reactions after use. I'm all for concealers with good ingredients! • I mainly use concealer to cover redness and blemishes, so I usually blend it out. When blended, it tended to emphasize dead skin cells a bit. • I think it would work even better if used on well-exfoliated skin! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinSep 12, 2021
The best feature was its lightweight application. Unlike some concealers that can look heavy or cakey when applied incorrectly, this one felt great. It was as light as applying cushion foundation rather than a typical concealer. Perhaps due to its quality ingredients, I experienced no eye irritation and it worked well with my sensitive skin. While many concealers tend to be drying, this product struck a nice balance - not too moisturizing (which could cause eye makeup to smudge) but not overly drying either, making it comfortable to use. The shade also blended seamlessly with my 23 shade foundation for a natural look. While it effectively concealed small blemishes and marks, it didn't completely cover darker spots or deep under-eye circles. I wish it had provided more coverage in these areas. This seems better suited for natural, subtle coverage, similar to using a brightening moisturizer, rather than for full, flawless concealment. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 8, 2021
Shade 22, combination-oily skin type, rarely use color makeup products It effectively concealed blackheads, small pores, and areas with pigmentation. Importantly, it doesn't contain pore-clogging ingredients for oily skin. I haven't used it for long, but so far, no blemishes have appeared. Personally, I didn't experience any dryness or heaviness on the skin. My nose and cheeks have a slightly different color, and I have quite dark under-eye circles, so those areas were still somewhat visible. If the shade matches you well, you could use it as a foundation-free option, applying it only where coverage is needed. For acne, it covers redness, but raised spots are still noticeable. I applied it all over my face, put on a mask, gently pressed it (not too hard) on the areas where the mask touches, and checked for transfer. There was a bit of transfer on the nose and cheek areas where the mask has gaps. In the photo, it looks lighter than in reality, but there was minimal transfer overall. While it did cover my dark circles to some extent, they weren't completely invisible. This could be due to how pronounced they are. When I was in a hurry, I only applied it to my dark circles, one cheek, and nose, quickly patted it with a sponge, and went out. After sweating, the coverage on the dark circles held up well, but some product on the cheek area came off when I wiped it. It doesn't seem to cover textured skin or large pores effectively. For shade 23, there's only pink base and yellow base options, with no in-between. I recommend double cleansing in the evening on days when you've used makeup products. In the photo, I only applied the product to half of my nose for comparison, which is why there's a visible line.
