With minimal ingredients, no harmful substances, and hygienic packaging, it's clean to use. Sometimes I just apply the 'Thermal Spring Water-Tolerance Control Cream' alone, skipping everything else. While it doesn't reduce inflammation, it does ease itching. Once absorbed, it leaves skin smooth and soft without stickiness. Products I use when dealing with dermatitis: Physiogel AI Emulsion, Zeroid Soothing Emulsion, Avène Tolerance Control Cream
ConsWhen inflammation is severe, it still causes skin heat and redness (sensitive to citric acid). Due to its oiliness, overuse can lead to major blemishes. The texture is oily yet matte on the surface, lacking hydration which can cause deep dryness. Once your skin improves, you'll need to replenish inner moisture. The product volume is on the smaller side.
TipAbsorbs: 4/5 Absorbs well: 3/5 Blemishes: 1/5 Sticky: 1/5

For me, Avène is the best for calming effects. When I have frequent allergic reactions, Avène is the only thing I can apply.
ConsI have combination dehydrated skin with severe deep dryness. This product alone isn't enough... The hydration is a bit disappointing.

Cons- Possibly due to my dry skin, it dries too quickly, causing deep dryness (need to apply at least two layers if using this cream alone) - The slippery texture makes opening the cap difficult if it gets on your hands - Uses up quickly as multiple applications are needed - No significant change even when reapplied to dry areas
TipAfter use: No noticeable overall skin changes - Not recommended for dry skin. Might work well for oily or combination skin types

When pumped, the texture was different from regular creams - it's like a thin whipped cream mousse! I loved the texture. At first, it applies lightly, but as you spread it, there's a slight white cast that makes it feel a bit heavier. Don't worry though, the white cast disappears when you pat it in. It's surprisingly matte, so I think it would be suitable for those with oily skin.
ConsUnlike the product description, it didn't provide the moisturizing, non-tight feeling on the skin. If you have dry skin, I strongly recommend testing it before purchasing. The matte finish seems to cause some deep dryness. I wouldn't recommend using this product alone; it's better to layer it with other products.
TipAs someone with dry skin, I found it worked better when applied partially to sensitive areas or blemishes rather than all over the face!

Recently, I've been a cream nomad, and everything I applied would pill. My skin was dry, and makeup wouldn't adhere well. But guess what!!!! With this cream, my makeup applies so beautifully. Even though my skin is super sensitive and extremely reactive, this cream suits my skin perfectly, and I'm so happy about it! (Results may vary depending on individual skin types) Deep hydration ⭐️⭐️ Pre-makeup use ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Moisturizing effect ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dryness improvement ⭐️
ConsNot recommended for oily skin types. Recommended for dry and combination skin. Many reviews suggest it for nighttime use, but I think it works well for both night and pre-makeup in winter!! The slight deep dryness is a drawback. Those with extremely dry skin will need to use a serum or oil too. Not recommended for oily skin types ❌❌ - Blemishes appeared on my oily T-zone
TipFor pre-makeup application, don't apply too much. Use a small amount and follow your skin's texture for a perfect makeup base.

This was my first time being selected for The Hwahae Testers, so it was quite exciting. I had the opportunity to try the Toleriane Control Cream for two weeks, and I'll provide an honest and detailed review! The product is almost fragrance-free, with just a very faint cheese scent. When I first tested it on the back of my hand, I noticed this subtle aroma up close, which was intriguing. Perhaps it's due to the probiotic ingredients? Interestingly, I couldn't detect any scent when applying it to my face. It's curious that no one else mentioned this in their reviews... Even my mom agreed there was a slight cheese scent. Anyway, this made me more eager to try it out. The texture is like whipped cream - quite unique. It comes out thick when dispensed, but melts like cream and absorbs moisturizing when you rub it in. I preferred to squeeze it onto the back of my hand first, work it into a creamy consistency, and then apply it to my face. The oil content is just right. Initially, it seemed quite rich, but once spread out, it's not excessive. It was perfect for my combination dehydrated skin. Even when I applied multiple layers when my skin felt dry, it didn't feel greasy or cause any blemishes. However, I wouldn't recommend it for those with very oily skin. It provides immediate hydration after application. On the first day, I only used toner before applying two pumps of this cream to really feel its moisturizing effect. While it's not as intensely hydrating as some water creams, it did leave my skin feeling moisturized and slightly glowing right after application. The finish is comfortable and matte, with a slight firming effect. Compared to water creams, it's less sticky and has a nice matte finish, which I found great for morning and daytime use when skin tends to get oilier. It also seemed to give my skin a bit of a firming effect. The gentle ingredients didn't cause any blemishes. While most top-ranked products on Hwahae have gentle formulations these days, it's still reassuring to use a product with no harmful ingredients. I used it for two weeks without any irritation or blemishes! Additional note: When my skin was acting up once, I applied this when other products felt too harsh. Its gentle formula and balanced oil content were perfect. For a while, I just used this with toner. Highly recommended for sensitive skin!
ConsThe hydration isn't quite enough when used alone. While it felt moisturizing right after application, my skin felt a bit dry after a few hours when I used only this product. Especially in the morning, while my face didn't feel tight, there was a noticeable dryness. So at night, I started layering a thin layer of moisturizer over this cream, which kept my skin hydrated until morning. The pump can be inconsistent at times. Initially, I liked the airless pump design, but occasionally it doesn't dispense product even when pressed. When this happens, you need to shake it a bit and try pumping again. The price is a bit high for the amount you get. Considering I used two pumps each time and often reapplied when my skin felt dry, it doesn't seem very economical.
TipThis product would be great for those wanting non-dry, matte skin! If you need more hydration, try applying multiple layers or add a thin layer of moisturizer on top. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I occasionally use high-nutrition ampoules or sheet masks. After such intensive treatments, when my skin feels overwhelmed by rich products, I found using this cream for a few days works well. It's gentle, adequately moisturizing, and leaves a nice matte finish.

Application: It applies smoothly like a gentle emulsion, without any stinging or discomfort. My skin tends to break out the next day when I use heavy emulsions that clog pores, but I like how lightweight this formula is. 2. Absorption: Absorbs quickly. As soon as it's applied, my face feels moisturized and it seems to sink right in. 3. Hydration: When applied lightly before morning makeup, it doesn't cause pilling and allows makeup to adhere well.
Cons- While keeping it in the fridge helps with the cooling sensation, the redness and sensitivity return after a while. - I'm not sure about its skin barrier strengthening effects. It doesn't prevent additional small blemishes from appearing. - My face feels very dry when I wake up. When applied before work, the moisturizing effect lasts until afternoon, but if I use the emulsion alone, my face feels tight and dry by evening. I end up having to apply additional cream. - The pump dispenses an awkward amount. It's difficult to control the quantity (applying too much can cause a white cast). =Conclusion: The emulsion is truly very gentle. It applies moisturizing without irritation, even on sensitive skin. The airless container keeps it hygienic. However, I'm not sure about its moisturizing and calming effects. I'd recommend it for dry skin, but it's not hydrating enough to use alone. I won't repurchase.
