The cleansing effectiveness is great. Not only does it purify pores, but it also helps with dead skin cell removal.
ConsDespite having dry skin, I've been getting blackheads and whiteheads on my T-zone and chin lately. Since it's summer and I heard charcoal is good for pore purification, I thought it would be a good idea to use this soap I had received as a gratis item but hadn't used yet. That wasn't the best choice, it seems. Last winter, when I had a breakout of tiny bumps, I wanted to try it for pore cleansing but didn't because I was worried it would be too drying. I thought it would be fine in summer, so I used up a whole bar. However, it seems to have disrupted my oil and moisture balance, causing another outbreak of tiny bumps. Handmade soaps tend to be alkaline, and unlike coconut-based soaps that focus on moisturizing, this charcoal soap seemed to make my face even drier. Even after cleansing, applying 5 layers of toner, using a hydrating ampoule, and doing a daily mask routine, my skin wouldn't calm down. It only started to improve after I switched back to a mildly acidic cleanser. I had a good experience with EFI Revive soap and Centella Soothing Bar, thinking, 'Wow! Handmade soaps are actually good! Why haven't I been using them?' But this product reminded me that even if handmade soaps seem to work well, using ones with incompatible main ingredients can still cause blemishes.
TipBased on other reviews, it seems to work well for those with oily skin, but those with dry skin might want to avoid it.

I have combination skin, so I use it on days when my sebum production is high. It appears to exfoliate dead skin cells too, and the coconut scent isn't bad at all. It's great for summer use.
ConsI wouldn't recommend this for those who dislike that squeaky-clean feeling. It's also not suitable for people with dry skin or those sensitive to coconut fragrance or ingredients.
TipNothing in particular to add.

Its cleansing effectiveness is great - my face feels soft after washing, not dry or tight, which I absolutely love! It even provides some gentle exfoliation, leaving my skin smooth, yet it's not irritating even with daily use. I don't even need a separate exfoliator. It lathers up nicely with just a few rubs, and doesn't wear down quickly - one bar lasts over a month. Using this has really made me realize there's no need for expensive products. It's amazing that this cleansing bar is only 3000 won!
ConsThere's not much to dislike, but if I had to mention something, it has a slightly cloying scent. I didn't notice it much before, but after reading some reviews, I realized some people don't like this fragrance. Come to think of it, the scent isn't particularly pleasant.

It removes oil so effectively, leaving your skin squeaky clean.
ConsThis was my first time using a soap bar, and I broke out in red spots all over my body. My face became extremely dry, so I tried it on my body instead, but it made me itchy and red. I've never experienced anything like this before. Ended up using it as laundry soap.

As a coconut scent lover, I really enjoyed the fragrance. It effectively controlled oil in the T-zone and removed dead skin cells, making those pesky little bumps disappear!
ConsThe cleansing power might be too strong for sensitive or dry skin types. While it cleared up the small bumps in my T-zone, I noticed some blemishes appearing on my dry cheek area. It doesn't seem to have any soothing effects on inflammatory acne.
TipIt might be a bit of a hassle, but I think it's worth cleansing the T-zone and cheek areas separately. Use a gentle, low pH cleanser for the cheeks and a charcoal soap for the T-zone!

With restrictions on exfoliation, saunas, alcohol, exercise, and anything that triggers redness, this product is great for gentle exfoliation. Using a foam net to create lots of lather and gently rolling it on the skin for 30-40 seconds effectively removes dead skin cells. I've tried Lush before for blackheads, but this seems to work better.
ConsIt's too soft... It dissolves extremely quickly. Even though I didn't use it daily and tried to let it dry between uses, it still melts away too fast.
TipMy skin journey went from extremely oily to blackhead-prone, then allergic, seborrheic dermatitis, and finally rosacea. Now my skin isn't perfect, but it's normal. I can exfoliate effectively just by cleansing with this product two to three times a week.

It feels like it's removing dead skin cells along with impurities.
ConsNothing particularly bad, but if you rub too vigorously, it can be a bit irritating and cause redness on the skin.

When I shower with it and rinse off, it feels like it's removing dead skin cells, which is so satisfying (though I think all Sidmool soaps do this). It leaves me feeling much fresher compared to other body washes!
ConsI wouldn't recommend this if you tend to drop soap often... the shape gets damaged easily. It doesn't lather up much, but that's a matter of personal preference..

As expected from Sidmool's natural soap, it lathers up nicely. After massaging the foam on my face and rinsing, my skin felt smooth and squeaky clean, giving me the impression that it effectively removed sebum!
ConsFirst off, the smell... I don't usually complain about scents, but this soap - even with added fragrance - would have been better off without it. The scent is somewhat cloying? It's so strong that I can smell it every time I wash my face, even when it's just sitting in the soap holder. While my skin felt smooth, it also gifted me with blemishes. Luckily, they weren't pustular, just small bumps that suddenly appeared, suggesting it was quite irritating. Those with sensitive skin, be cautious! Also, the cleansing power might be too strong - after washing, my face feels squeaky clean in an odd way... like my skin barrier has been compromised. But that's just my personal feeling.
TipFortunately, I only applied the foam to areas with excess sebum production, not my entire face, which helped prevent a full-blown reaction! For first-time users, I'd recommend focusing on areas prone to oiliness like the nose, chin, and forehead, rather than the whole face. If that works well, then you can consider using it all over.
