As someone with oily skin year-round, I found this product's lightweight finish perfect! I didn't experience any blemishes while using it. My routine: apply and let it absorb before moisturizer - works like a charm! Even with my oily skin, using this alone in winter wasn't enough. It left my skin feeling dry. But since most people don't rely on toner alone for skincare, it shouldn't be a big issue. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
As someone who usually prefers water-based toners, I was initially unsure about cream toners when I was selected for The Hwahae Testers. Contrary to my worries, this product turned out to be gentle enough for my super sensitive skin, causing no blemishes. The madecassoside ingredient greatly helped with skin cell regeneration, while the cica components provided excellent soothing effects. The rich, bouncy texture absorbed well into my skin. I highly recommend this for those dealing with skin troubles, small bumps, or sensitive skin! The price point might be a bit steep for students or those who frequently switch toners. While the effects justify the cost, teenagers might hesitate before purchasing. As for the scent, it has a clinical aroma similar to what you'd find in a dermatologist's office. It's not particularly irritating, but if you're sensitive to fragrances, make sure to check it out before buying! This product would be great as an emergency treatment on days when your skin feels troubled or dehydrated! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 24, 2021
The Hwahae Testers' brutally honest review: I received this product as a Hwahae Tester and used it religiously for exactly two weeks without missing a day. Note that this wasn't the only product I was using. Currently, I have acne-prone skin that's extremely sensitive and severely lacking in hydration! Texture: It's not a watery exfoliating toner, but rather has a slight oiliness. It's more fluid than mucus but not quite as runny as water. Irritation: It applies smoothly without any irritation. My skin didn't sting, and no new blemishes appeared. Effectiveness: It's said to provide long-lasting moisture when your skin is very dry, with a slight oily feel. This product really lived up to its all-in-one claims. Great as an all-in-one: Perfect for a quick pat before heading out Has a calming effect: Significantly reduces redness Helps with skincare 'diet' for acne-prone skin Unfortunately, it didn't quite address my deep dryness issues If you have severe deep dryness or when using this product, try layering it twice over an exfoliating toner for extra hydration. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinDec 24, 2021
First off, the beast-like volume is amazing! I loved being able to use the toner generously without holding back. The ingredients seemed to suit my skin well, as I didn't experience any blemishes after application! For those with dry skin, this alone might be a bit too drying. Even after layering it four times every evening, I didn't feel it provided much hydration. On the other hand, my boyfriend with oily skin says one application is enough for him! Also, it's not completely fragrance-free - there's a slight medicinal scent, which my boyfriend noticed too. However, it's not overpowering, so it didn't bother us. After cleansing, I used the Dermashare toner as an exfoliating toner once, then patted it into my skin three times. Following up with a moisturizer, I noticed less dryness and tightness in my face compared to before! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinDec 21, 2021
A great essence+toner combo for fall and winter. It's not too runny, which I appreciate since overly watery formulas can interfere with the absorption of subsequent products on my skin. Despite my sensitive skin prone to redness and heat, I didn't experience any blemishes while using this. The pump bottle is a plus, preventing spills. For those with dry skin, using just toner and cream in two steps might not be quite enough in the dead of winter. Otherwise, I can't think of any particular drawbacks. With my sensitive skin that tends to redden the more I touch it, I try to minimize what I apply even after cleansing. After evening cleansing, I use toner+cream or toner+emulsion, followed by Aromatica Aloe Gel or Sidmool Decon Gel on top. This helps reduce the burning sensation while providing an extra layer of protection, maintaining the skincare routine for longer without applying multiple products. It really cools down the skin - highly recommended for those with redness-prone complexions!
