It removes makeup so well! I was getting tired of just using oil cleansers, so I decided to give this a try. It feels more refreshing than oil, which is nice. There wasn't anything I disliked about it. The scent was fresh and pleasant. I think I'd feel more at ease using it if there was a larger size available. I use this when removing my makeup. - ql******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 1, 2025
Even though it's my first time using this cleansing balm, I find its cleansing effectiveness quite decent and it seems gentle on the skin. Just keep in mind that it doesn't seem to be very effective at removing blackheads. - co******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I'm on my third tube now. I rarely wear makeup and tend to apply skincare lightly. For my needs, I'm quite satisfied with this product. I discovered it while searching for vegan products that not only avoid animal testing but also use eco-friendly packaging. I sincerely hope it doesn't get discontinued so I can keep using it. Even though I don't wear makeup often, given the nature of balms, I tend to apply it generously. As I use it, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed watching the amount diminish so quickly. This review highlights the user's appreciation for the product's vegan and eco-friendly qualities, as well as its effectiveness for minimal makeup routines. However, they note that the balm's consistency encourages liberal application, which leads to faster product depletion. - sr********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 15, 2025
I love how it thoroughly removes makeup residue, sebum, and blackheads! The gentle formula was perfect for when my skin was super sensitive. What impressed me most was how easily it removed mascara and waterproof eyeliner, which are usually stubborn to take off. With this cleansing balm, they came off effortlessly with just a bit of massaging! Unlike other products that sting when they get in your eyes and don't remove makeup well, this one cleanses effectively without any eye irritation! The non-irritating formula is definitely a plus! I appreciate how it transforms from balm to oil to milk, leaving my skin feeling hydrated after cleansing! For an extra thorough cleanse, I pair it with the Sprout Deep Cleansing Foam. Together, they leave my skin squeaky clean, free of excess oil and residue. It's such a convenient routine! Those with blemish-prone skin might find it triggers more breakouts! Sometimes it struggles to completely remove heavy base makeup. - yj********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessRednessRecommendedJun 12, 2025
For those with dry skin, it's not drying at all. The scent is refreshingly pleasant, and it has excellent cleansing effectiveness. As a first-step cleanser, I found no drawbacks. There's nothing particularly negative to mention. Really, nothing at all! I purchased it during a sale. Great decision! - ze**********Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 11, 2025
It cleanses effectively and applies smoothly. The quick emulsification makes massage time a breeze. I've tried several balm cleansers, but this one didn't particularly stand out as impressive. The cleanser has good cleansing effectiveness and absorbs well into the skin. Its fast emulsification action makes the massage process comfortable and efficient. However, compared to other balm cleansers I've used, this one didn't seem to offer any exceptional benefits that would make it stand out from the rest. - ca********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMay 18, 2025
Since I've used up the cleansing oil, I was wondering what product to buy next. Coincidentally, I won the Hwahae cleansing foam and tried it, and I loved it so much that I immediately bought the cleansing balm with my own money as well. This is my first time using a cleansing balm, and the cost-effectiveness is good - I can use a large volume for the price of two. I only wear makeup once a week, so I double cleanse once a week, and the volume of this product feels sufficient even if I only use one. However, I'm not sure how it would be for those who wear makeup more frequently. I have sensitive combination skin, and products with oil tend to cause breakouts for me, but this creamy balm formula with oil doesn't irritate my skin or cause any trouble. Moreover, it's a vegan product, which makes me trust it more. When I wear makeup, a small amount spreads well over my face, and my base makeup is thoroughly cleansed without any residue. And even though I have oily skin, my skin doesn't feel tight after double cleansing with this product during the seasonal changes. It also comes with a spatula, which is convenient. The scent is a subtle citrus, which is not unpleasant. The color has a yellowish tone, reminiscent of forsythia, which gives a fresh, springlike vibe. The recommended skin type is suitable for all skin types, but for sensitive skin, a patch test is recommended. As for me, with my sensitive skin, it works well, but I'll have to use it for a full month to know for sure. So far, it's been great, and I plan to repurchase it and strongly recommend it to those around me. Point makeup has the disadvantage of having to be removed separately with a lip and eye remover. Additionally, as it is a pan-type, there is the inconvenience of having to open the lid and scoop it out with the included spatula. Nowadays, the containers available in the market have been further improved, with some designed to dispense the product by twisting, which makes them more hygienic and convenient to use. - hi***Dry SkinSensitive SkinDark CirclesWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 29, 2025
It effectively removes makeup, leaving no residue and a fresh finish. Although the jar packaging can be a bit inconvenient to use, I was very satisfied with how gently it cleanses without irritating the skin. Its cleansing effectiveness is somewhat lacking when it comes to removing mascara. - ks*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 9, 2025
I have extremely dry skin with a lot of dead skin cells, and also combination skin with oily T-zone and enlarged pores. This cleansing balm was great for easily removing makeup and managing both excess sebum and dead skin cells. While oils or other balm-type products might cause blemishes, this one was less irritating to my skin compared to other products. I didn't really find any downsides. If I had to mention something, maybe it would be nice to have a small travel-size container? Just a minute or two of gentle massaging helps manage both dead skin cells and excess sebum to some extent. - hj****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 4, 2025
As someone with combination dehydrated skin who only occasionally applies cushion foundation, I may not be a beauty expert, but I do love a thorough cleansing routine. I prefer using an oil cleanser followed by a foam cleanser for that squeaky clean finish. While I've tried balm-type cleansers before and find them a bit more challenging to use than oils, I decided to give this one a try due to its portability. It comes with a separate spatula in the inner lid, which is great for hygiene. The ingredients are good, and although I usually prefer unscented products, the subtle fragrance isn't unpleasant. Since I only use it to remove light makeup, the cleansing effectiveness seems adequate. It feels a bit heavier than oil cleansers... I think it might be more suitable for dry skin rather than oily skin. The fact that you need to massage it in for quite a while can be a bit tiring. I don't have anything else to add.
