It's a pleasure to use! You might think Ivory = Shade 21, but as you can see in the photos, it's definitely lighter than 21! I'd guess it's closer to shade 19. This could be intriguing for those tired of cushions and foundations. The formula glides on smoothly! At first glance, it might seem too glowy, but once applied, it's not overwhelming (though oily skin types might find it quite luminous). I tried applying with a toothbrush-style brush and an Espoir cushion puff. The brush seemed to give a more matte finish, while the puff increased adherence. This would be great for those with normal to combination skin without blemishes!
ConsThe coverage is... well, disappointing. It barely conceals anything, be it scars or blemishes. Adherence is average at best. Unless applied extremely thinly, it tends to separate and clump when wearing a mask. Though I had similar issues with Holika Holika's stick foundation, so it might be characteristic of the format. Either way, it's not ideal for our mask-wearing era. It's very susceptible to oil, disappearing quickly, so those with oily skin will need to set it with powder. It also tends to flake on dry areas, making it challenging for someone like me who prefers a quick application. While it looks bright initially, it darkens noticeably after just 1-2 hours. There's a difference between a foundation melding with your skin tone and oxidizing, and in my experience, this leans towards the latter, unfortunately.
TipI'd recommend patting it on like a stamp rather than swiping to reduce clumping, but... that defeats the purpose of a stick foundation's convenience, doesn't it?

The color payoff is beautifully spot-on. It's great that you can apply it thinly for a sheer, luminous finish.
ConsIt's a bit disappointing that the packaging isn't made of a fingerprint-resistant material.
TipFor perfect coverage, apply one layer all over, then gently pat on a bit more where you need extra concealing!

Knowing it's a stick foundation, I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it glides on. It feels really nice on the skin. The color comes out bright, giving a lovely glow that evens out the complexion nicely.
ConsFor oily, acne-prone skin, this foundation just didn't work. It caked up on every blemish, and no matter how thinly I applied it or how well I tried to blend it in, it just wouldn't sit right. After just one day of use, I was upset to see lots of small pimples popping up. Of course, it could be due to poor skin condition, but I can't help blaming the foundation. If you have oily skin with lots of acne like me, stick to Double Wear - that's the way to go. Save your $20 and buy Double Wear instead, seriously.
TipBefore buying, really think about your skin type and whether your skin is in good condition to begin with. I bought this after watching YouTubers and then realized, 'Oh right, I have super oily, acne-prone skin...' and regretted it!

Espoir bases generally tend to be about half a shade to a full shade lighter, but this was even brighter than the Be Glow Cushion in Ivory that I usually use. It applies smoothly, but it's absolutely essential to have a well-hydrated base underneath.
ConsThe drawbacks are just too significant... I've been a loyal user of the Be Glow Cushion since its launch, even repurchasing refills after using them up (I'm currently using the recently renewed product). I've also tried the foundation from the same line, but the cushion was always my favorite. I tried the Be Silk line too, but found it too heavy, so I rarely reach for either the cushion or foundation from that range. Anyway, the entire Be Glow line isn't really suitable for the current situation. Before mask-wearing became common, I didn't notice it as much, but I used to enjoy building up the glow by patting it on multiple times. However, it transfers heavily onto masks, so I didn't use it much last year. Recently, I've been able to control the amount better and have been using it well, so I had high hopes for the stick foundation. The result was disappointing... First off, the transfer and adherence are both poor. You need to apply an extremely rich moisturizing base for it to glide on smoothly, and you absolutely can't apply it with your fingers. Even among other puffs, the Be Glow puff (Lumi-Cell puff) works best. So you apply it like that, right? Patting and blending, but if you lose control of the pressure for a moment and it smears or leaves marks, everything gets messed up. Even after somehow managing to apply it all, there's still a problem - when you look in the mirror, your skin looks like you slept with your makeup on! Even if you apply powder on top, it still moves around. But if you reduce your skincare, it won't apply smoothly at all. There's no solution. Additional note: They advertised that the coverage is better than the cushion, but it's actually worse. It especially tends to separate on top of blemishes.
TipHonestly, if I had to choose between the Be Glow stick foundation and the cushion, I would definitely go for the cushion.
