  Pros

  Personal review to track skin condition: On December 24th, my skin was somewhat dry with slight flaking around the butterfly zone, and my cheeks would redden slightly after washing. During these times, using functional skincare products can cause my skin to react negatively. Excellent for hydration! I used it well as the first serum after cleansing, without any significantly irritating ingredients. I love that it comes in a generous amount with a large dropper, allowing for liberal application. The subtle earthy carrot scent is oddly addictive.

  Cons

  It dries quickly, and if you don't follow up with a separate emulsion or cream, it can leave the skin feeling tight.

  Tip

  After hydrating, immediately apply an emulsion with a slightly oily texture to lock in moisture.

  Pros

  The scent is a fresh vitamin aroma with a hint of earthy notes. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, it's not overpowering, so I didn't find it bothersome at all. The texture is on the thinner side, and it dries to a moisturized, soft finish when applied. Overall, I love the bottle design - it's super cute, natural-looking, and appealing. As someone with oily skin currently on Accutane, I've been using it morning and night. I'm happy to report no blemishes appeared, and it feels like a gentle, well-balanced ampoule. I especially love how it dries to a silky finish, leaving no greasy residue in the morning. It seems like an ampoule that even those with super sensitive skin could use without issues!

  Cons

  While the texture is thin and dries to a moisturized, soft finish when applied, I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't provide that intense, long-lasting hydration some other ampoules do. I tend to reach for ampoules with a more bouncy texture and refreshing feel, especially during the winter months. This ampoule might be more suitable for summer use. After application, the hydration seems to dissipate quickly, leaving the skin feeling soft. While some might appreciate this silky finish, it didn't make me want to reach for it often. I wish the moisturizing effect lasted longer!

  Although the Carrot Carotene Ampoule provides a moisturized and silky feel, I found its hydration doesn't last as long as some other ampoules. To enhance its effects, I tried layering it with a face oil, and the next morning my skin felt noticeably smoother and more supple.
