After applying this for 5 evenings in a row, they seemed to subside a bit faster than usual. It's a non-dripping gel type (similar to aloe soothing gel), which made it easy to apply. When applied, it gave a slightly warm and cool sensation. The scent is tea tree oil, but there's also a hint of sweetness to it.
ConsI have combination skin, and while I didn't feel much tightness on my chin area, when I applied it near my cheeks, it felt a bit dry and tight, so I layered cream on top. It has a slightly slippery texture and absorbs (or dries?) slowly. When I used it in the morning, perhaps because I didn't give it enough time to absorb or used too much, my makeup pilled. So from the second day onwards, I only used it in the evening.
TipIt's best to apply a small amount with a light touch. Since it doesn't provide hydration, use it after applying moisturizer or use it as a spot treatment, let it absorb, and then apply your moisturizer.

It feels soothing, doesn't leave an oily residue, and provides great hydration.
ConsIt's tricky to control the amount, and when you apply more, it tends to pill.

But after applying this, I could definitely feel the inflammation subsiding! What I liked: 1. The pleasant scent made it easy to use without any aversion! 2. It's a serum, so it's perfect for summer when using cica creams or balm-type products feels too heavy. It's moisturizing yet lightweight! 3. I felt reassured using it since it's been tested as suitable for acne-prone skin! 4. The size is compact and portable, making it great for travel and carrying around! 5. The nozzle is perfect for spot treatment, making it easy to control the amount and hygienic as you don't need to touch it with your hands! 6. As a serum-type product, it dries to a slight patch-like feeling when used as a spot treatment, which was great for me as I tend to touch my skin often! I had blemishes on my arms that were really bothering me, but after using this, they've all subsided and only scars remain! The blemishes on my face have also disappeared, leaving only scars, and my skin feels so smooth now!
ConsIt has a drying effect, which can make the skin feel a bit tight once it's fully dried. When applying makeup over this serum, there's a slight pilling effect.
TipIf you apply a thick layer before bed, you'll definitely notice a calming effect and feel the blemishes gradually subsiding by the next morning! It works great not just on the face, but on the body too! I recommend applying it before bed rather than before makeup!

I've always been interested in spot treatments due to my skin's tendency to develop pustular acne, but I wasn't sure which one to try. Luckily, I got to test my first spot treatment through The Hwahae Testers! I used it for 10 days from July 29th to August 7th. On days at home, I applied it morning and night, and on days out, just in the evening. Texture: The texture is similar to aloe gel, but more refreshing and less slippery. As someone with oily-leaning skin in summer, I avoid greasy products, so this gel was perfect! It's easy to spread over larger areas with just a small amount. If you have multiple blemishes on your cheeks or forehead like me, you can comfortably apply it over a wider area. Scent: It has a subtle tea tree scent that's only noticeable when you bring it close to your face. I only noticed it when I first started using the product, and later I hardly noticed it at all. Unless you dislike tea tree scent or have a sensitive nose, it shouldn't be an issue! Soothing effect: Lately, I've been getting small blemishes around my eyes, cheeks, and chin from wearing masks and having makeup on all day, especially in powdered areas. This product did a good job of calming these minor blemishes. While it's not a miracle worker, it helps reduce small blemishes in 2-3 days, leaving only slight redness and flattening them out! Packaging/Dosage control: This was my favorite aspect! The packaging is similar to Madecassol, with a plastic nozzle at the end of the tube. This design allows the gel to form small droplets, making it easy to control the amount. I loved being able to dispense the product without touching it. *The rounded tip of the nozzle ensures it won't hurt if you accidentally poke your cheek.
ConsWhile there weren't any major drawbacks, I can mention three minor issues: Pilling: Being a gel, if not fully absorbed, it can pill slightly when applying sunscreen or foundation. Initially, I applied too much on a small area, which led to some waiting time for absorption and slight pilling, which was a bit inconvenient. Frequent hand contact due to gel texture: Rather than squeezing the product onto blemishes and waiting for it to dry, I pat it in with my fingers. This means my hands come into contact with my face more often than expected. You'll need to be mindful of hygiene when touching blemish-prone areas. No effect on scars: I didn't expect this, but I'll include it as a drawback. Since this product focuses on soothing rather than regeneration, it didn't affect acne scars despite containing centella asiatica. I applied it to acne scars during the testing period, but saw no reduction in redness or other changes. It's best to think of this product primarily for its soothing properties!

Even with proper care, when one blemish goes away, another appears. That's why I need and love spot treatments! I've been using the already popular ISOI and Ducray spot treatments, but this Nature Republic one has the advantage of being much more affordable. I started using it the evening I received it, applying it morning and night for over a week when I didn't have plans. I applied it on top of my skincare routine to firm, painful acne without pus on both cheeks. While it didn't make the acne disappear overnight, after a few days I noticed the pain was significantly less. The redness did subside a bit, but it didn't completely disappear. So it's a bit ambiguous, but it's better than not using anything, though it doesn't completely eliminate the blemishes. I feel like it might be more effective with longer use. Also, keeping it in the fridge and applying it cool helps reduce heat and soothe the skin. I really love the ingredients too. I chose this because their famous tea tree pack works so well for me, and this also contains centella and cica ingredients. Maybe that's why I didn't experience any new breakouts or irritation. Since I've seen some results, I plan to keep using it consistently!
ConsFor me, it pills a bit when applied before makeup, so it's best not to use it on mornings when you have plans. There's no dramatic effect... To be honest, I haven't experienced such effects with any of the spot treatments I've tried. I only apply it directly on the blemishes. Seeing how quickly it dries, I think it might be drying if applied over a large area, so it's best to use it as a spot treatment, just dabbing it on the problem areas.

About 5 days after using this product, the blemishes and redness were noticeably reduced. While it doesn't seem particularly effective on whiteheads, I'm satisfied just with how it calmed the redness. I also like that it comes in a tube, which is more hygienic. It's great that you can use small amounts effectively if you control the pressure well.
ConsI use this after my exfoliating toner, and even when applying a small amount, it tends to go on a bit thick. It seems like it might cause pilling if I apply moisturizer and makeup over it, so I think I'll have to use it only in the evening.
TipIn summer, I keep my toner in the fridge. After using the cold exfoliating toner, I apply this product little by little, letting it absorb, and then follow with a moisturizer. It's great for immediate blemish care.
