I've been using this mascara for over a year now because it has great staying power and gives a bold, defined look! It also comes off easily with makeup remover. I think this might be the best mascara I've ever used. There's a bit of eye irritation when I wear it with contact lenses. Other than that, no complaints! If you're a fan of voluminous, clumpy lashes, I highly recommend this one. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinJul 18, 2021
My lashes usually droop a lot, but since using this mascara, they stay curled even when wearing a mask! It might cause a slight eye irritation. Those with sensitive eyes should consider carefully before purchasing. However, it was fine for me. When used with Etude's fixer, it stays absolutely perfect all day long! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinFeb 3, 2021
As someone with super straight lashes that make most mascaras droop, I'm amazed that Etude's doesn't budge at all. I've been loyal to this since high school! I didn't notice much when wearing contacts, but applying this with bare eyes caused some irritation. I'm not particularly sensitive, but my mom, who has super sensitive skin, had tears streaming down her face from the burning sensation. I used to pair this with Etude's mascara fixer, but when wearing a mask, it felt sticky and drooped more, probably due to the breath moisture. Personally, I prefer using it on its own! - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJan 4, 2021
Advantages: 1. Less excess powder compared to other mascaras 2. Doesn't smudge easily 3. Long-lasting and doesn't come off easily 4. Significantly defines the eyes 5. Good value for money Disadvantages: 1. While it's a matter of preference, those who prefer a natural look might find it applies thickly and clumps between lashes 2. The curl doesn't last dramatically long 3. Slight eye irritation 4. Difficult to remove 5. Somewhat challenging to control the amount applied - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinNov 8, 2020
Rich color payoff, great ingredients, and no clumping... That's all there is to it! It smudges quickly. Even with a gentle remover, it's hard to cleanse off. The price is steep. Plus, it irritates my eyes and causes discomfort. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinJul 6, 2020
The curling power and staying power are excellent, and you can feel each lash lifting individually. When I apply this alone, my eyes feel sensitive... It gives a dry sensation to the eyes. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinJul 4, 2020
There was a time when I considered this my holy grail mascara. The curling power was absolutely incredible, and the staying power was truly long-lasting. To be honest, for me, this was far superior to Kiss Me mascara. It clumps easily. I initially brushed it off, thinking it might be due to my eye makeup routine of applying eyeshadow and filling in my waterline. However, the eye irritation became unbearably severe. Sadly, I had to switch to a gentler option in the end. Since it tends to clump, try wiping the wand or using less product when applying. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 3, 2020
I loved how it barely smudged and made my eyes look so bright and clear! It stings my eyes and doesn't come off easily even with cleansing oil. I recommend buying the cleansing water that Etude sells alongside this product for better removal. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinJun 5, 2020
I have monolids (which can be tricky for makeup application...) and don't wear makeup often. I tried this mascara because it was recommended for its good ingredients. Long-lasting: Once applied, it stays put like wood glue (?) for a long time. Easy to remove: It comes off well with cleansing wipes and washes off cleanly during double cleansing. Great ingredients: I appreciate that it doesn't contain any concerning ingredients. Eye irritation: I experienced some eye irritation. Especially when wearing contact lenses, it feels like it's drawing moisture from my eyes, making them dry and stiff. Application issues: It clumps and applies thickly... It makes my lashes look like low-quality fake eyelashes...? I'm not sure if this is normal. +It dries quickly and thickens as it dries. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinFeb 1, 2020
Before I dive into my review, let me tell you about my lashes: they're short, short, short! But I do have a decent amount of them. They tend to droop easily - even when I used to use the Kissme pink gradient volume version, they would still fall. 1. Staying power The staying power is absolutely incredible. I usually use Etude's pink mascara fixer along with it, and even after a full day of fun, alcohol, and karaoke, it doesn't budge at all. What really surprised me was that even after removing the mascara, my lashes still held some curl. I guess that's thanks to the fixer? 2. No spider lashes You need to be careful with the amount you apply. It's best to remove as much excess product from the wand as possible. After that, if you slowly apply multiple thin layers, you can achieve a beautiful, natural look. The brush is a bit chubby, but it still applies well. 1. Eye irritation There is some eye irritation... 2. Removal can be a bit tough When using Etude's Lip & Eye Remover, I recommend soaking a cotton pad and holding it on your eyes for about 5-10 seconds before gently wiping. Even then, it doesn't come off completely. The staying power is no joke... 1. Make sure to control the amount well! 2. The mascara alone is good, but if you want to increase the longevity even more, I highly recommend Etude's pink fixer. I've already used up one and just bought another yesterday...
