Pros
Although it has a water-based formula with minimal coverage, I used the combination of Guerlain Gold+Lore and it was the best for making my foundation more moisturized! The difference between using Lore and not using it is very noticeable - especially when used in cold weather, my face doesn't get dry and the foundation lasts much longer.
Cons
The large gold flakes in the product need to be gently patted in with your fingers for proper absorption, which can be a bit of a hassle.
Tip
It may just be my perception, but I find that tapping it in gently instead of rubbing it in works better for absorption.

Pros
After using the Parure Gold for 6 months, I experienced a whole new world of subtle radiance and lasting power. I had heard too many times that it's ineffective for the price, so I agonized for 6 months before finally giving in to the temptation and buying it, and now I regret not getting it sooner. It's amazing... The best base I've ever used!!!! It provides a dewy finish and the longevity is a bit better too (since I have a dry skin type, the longevity is already pretty decent, but still) It's a perfect match with the Parure Gold.
Cons
When I first started using the Parure Gold, my face suddenly became extremely itchy (not to the point of scratching, but I could feel that the product was irritating my skin). But I couldn't bring myself to stop using it because of its luxurious performance (my female friends kept asking what foundation I was wearing, saying my skin looked great). After a month, the itchiness went away and my skin seemed to have fully adapted to it. Haha.
Tip
I have acne-free dry skin, so the Guerlain base seems to look nice and work well for me, but I think people with blemishes or oily skin might not see as much of an effect.
