While many other drugstores have tried to imitate the famous 'Ror' product, the original is still unparalleled. There is a reason why people continue to buy the original - even when the basic formulation is sufficient, it can sometimes feel dry or the foundation may appear slightly uneven. But when mixed with the 'Ror', the adhesion seems to be maximized.

It's a great product, but the price is certainly a downside. For the average consumer, the price point, while not unreasonable, may still be a bit of a stretch. Pros
Skin Type: Severely dehydrated, sensitive skin I don't usually use makeup bases, but I got a sample and tried it out in the winter. It was perfect for the dry season. I think those with extremely dry skin will really love it. The fluid formula is quickly absorbed and applies nicely. It definitely gives a moisturized, dewy feeling from deep within the skin. The formula also paired very well with my foundation (the famous matte Estée Lauder one). When applying foundation, it had great adherence and didn't break down easily, which I really liked.
Cons
The price seems a bit high, and there are a lot of cautionary ingredients, which is a shame. There's a BHT ingredient that I'm particularly wary of... So I probably won't be purchasing the full-size product. And the fragrance is strong and unpleasant - it just didn't work for me.

It has good adhesion and a little goes a long way to make the skin look great There is no darkening and it works well with foundation too
Cons
The gold pearl particles are large and it doesn't last long if the skin is dry, as it can flake off

I can immediately understand why Guerlain's base products are so famous. After using just a sample, I loved it so much that I bought the full-size product. The difference in foundation adherence is noticeable when I use the base product versus when I don't.
Cons

It applies very moisturizing and adheres well, allowing the foundation to go on smoothly, and it also covers my pores which I've always struggled with.
Cons
Since it's mainly focused on moisture, in the current dry environment, the smoothness doesn't last very long and it can start to feel a bit uneven.

Pros
Since my makeup tends to come off easily in the winter, I mix it with Guerlain Parure. The adhesion definitely improves, and the application becomes even smoother.
Cons
It's too expensive... While there are 1+1 deals at the duty-free shops, buying it at the department store is a burden.
